======================================================================== GOD IS ALL by Andrew Murray ======================================================================== Summary: God is the all-powerful and all-present Creator who sustains all existence and remains unchanged. Topics: "God's Sovereignty", "Divine Presence" Scripture References: Psalm 19:1, Psalm 104:24-25, Isaiah 40:28, Jeremiah 10:10, John 1:3, Acts 17:28, Romans 11:36, Colossians 1:16-17, Hebrews 1:3, Revelation 4:11 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ DESCRIPTION ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Andrew Murray emphasizes that God is the source of all life and existence, asserting that everything in the universe reflects His glory and power. He explains that the heavens and the earth are merely garments of God, who is the everlasting and unchanging 'I am that I am.' Murray encourages believers to recognize that all creation is dependent on God, and that true perception of the world reveals God's omnipresence. He calls for a shift from worldly blindness to a joyful acknowledgment that God is all in all. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ CONTENT ------------------------------------------------------------------------ 1. God is all. God alone hath life, because he alone hath it in himself. He is the life of all that lives. The heavens and the earth are but his garment, a vesture that he changeth as he will. He alone remaineth, the everlasting one who changeth not. He is the great 'I am that I am.' The heaven and the earth are full of his glory, everything that exists is but the outshining of the glory of his power and goodness. Were it not that we are so worldly and blind, we should see nothing but God in the universe, all existence would be but the shadow of his presence. Instinctively and joyously we would say: God is all. God has not given to nature a life which it can have in itself, independent of him. No, it remains inseparably connected with himself, and dependent on him: in all there is God; God is all.
