======================================================================== EXODUS 23:27 by Chuck Smith ======================================================================== Summary: The sermon emphasizes the gradual process of achieving victory over the flesh through understanding God's principles and relying on His grace. Topics: "Victory in Christ", "Overcoming the Flesh" Scripture References: Exodus 23:27, Romans 7:18 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ DESCRIPTION ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Chuck Smith emphasizes the principles of victory in the Christian life, illustrating how the journey from bondage in Egypt to the promised land symbolizes our struggle against the flesh. He highlights the importance of understanding God's principles to avoid discouragement and reminds us that God goes before us, preparing the way and defeating our enemies. Smith reassures that total victory over the flesh is a gradual process, achieved little by little, and encourages believers to rely on God's grace throughout their struggles. He concludes by urging listeners not to be discouraged, as God is continually at work in their lives. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ CONTENT ------------------------------------------------------------------------ "THE PRINCIPLES OF VICTORY" Intro: Typical history.
