"DAVID'S SPOIL"

Intro: David's men in despair, thought of stoning him. David type of

Christ.

I. ALL THE SPOIL WAS DAVID'S, ALL THE GOOD WE ENJOY COMES TO US

THROUGH CHRIST.

A. Without Him we can do nothing.

B. The spoiler had brought us to nothing.

C. For David's sake, God gave success to his band.

1. For Jesus' sake.

D. Their victory came because of David's victory.

E. By nature man lost everything.

1. Eden's joys.

2. Earth.

3. Life, hope, peace.

4. Jesus recovered all.

II. THEY RECOVERED ALL THEY LOST PLUS...

A. All that man lost by sin plus more has come to us by Christ.

1. Human nature has been lifted higher heirs of God.

III. THAT WHICH WE GIVE TO CHRIST MAY BE CALLED HIS SPOIL.

A. Our hearts.
