======================================================================== WORSHIP IN PRAYER by Dan Biser ======================================================================== ------------------------------------------------------------------------ DESCRIPTION ------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------------------ CONTENT ------------------------------------------------------------------------ We set up, bring the word, and then lead us in prayer. And again, however, that's done. Sometimes when we were in corporate fashions, it would be the entire corporate body praying together. Other times it would be get into small groups. Other times it would be get along with God and let God speak to you and you speak to God. Any of these ways, when you are with a group, just follow the leading of the Holy Spirit in that, okay? The second thing about that is, is that I've gone near and far, me and brother David Ford. David, I don't know if you're still on or not. We talked about this the other day. We was talking about dear brother of ours, Ralph Saterra. Him and his brother Lou Saterra was what the evangelist that was preaching when the revival broke out in Canada in 1970. And so in that conversation, when he was asking me if I knew him, I said, well, let me tell you how I know him. I said, I was down at HeartCry for Revival in around 2006. And I had set up a meeting with Jim Cimbala because of Brooklyn Tabernacle's prayer meeting and a meeting with Henry Blackenby. I didn't know anything about HeartCry for Revival. I didn't know anything about Ralph Saterra. I go down there and we're standing in the cafeteria line for one of our meals and Ralph is right in front of me. And he turns around to me and he says, well, he introduced himself and he asked me who I was, where I was from and why I was there. And I said, well, I have a meeting with a couple of your speakers. And then I said, I really come down here to watch how you did your corporate prayer meeting. And he said, well, what do you think? And I said, well, you haven't prayed yet. They hadn't prayed except for an opening prayer. They had not had any corporate prayer at all or small groups or nothing. And I always remember what Ralph said to me on that spot. He said, well, maybe God's telling you to do something about that. I come back to West Virginia and I did Broken Before the Throne, an eight day, nine hours a day prayer meeting. These events come out of that where I've read about John Hyatt, Rain John Hyatt, Silcock Convention that lasted 10 days, the Kizzik Convention, where they would go a full week of nonstop worship on the grounds and all these examples where God's people have a protracted time to hear the word of God, read the word of God, be taught the word of God and pray the word of God. Those things to me are essential for proclamation of the word and a protracted time period in prayer, long, long time of prayer. And so the concert of prayer is set for that. They haven't let someone get up and proclaim the word of the Lord. But pray the word, don't just have good preaching, be in prayer. And that so often is missing. So having said that, again, I'm no longer introduction that I cared for. We want to go into our prayer time now. Now, again, this is diverse. I'm speaking, you're going to see some of the slides I'm going to share with you, verses out of my prayer notebook, out of my heart. I'm sure you have verses. Maybe you might want to write them or quote them at the side. That's fine. Maybe you, but again, if you're just learning how to pray an hour, two hours to use these things to build your prayer life. Okay. We're looking to set an example for what prayer is supposed to look like because of this emergency that we're in of God, our ways and our doings that has provoked him to anger and judgment. And we are reaping that and we're seeking God to undo that. And so, as I said, worship always starts or should start every prayer meeting. I understand if someone is feeling convicted and guilty in their mind and their heart, that they're unclean and they need to confess a sin, you know, should know Psalm 66. If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me. So I have no problem. This is not the only way. This is just a way. Okay. That you can use as an example for your prayer time, your small group or your church. And I begin with worship. I begin with an acknowledgement of who God is, God, the father who sits on the throne, Jesus, who sits at the right hand. He's the great intercessor and the Holy spirit who is there because he makes groanings for us, which cannot be other. And so it is the Trinity that I pray to God, the father, son, and Holy spirit. Yes, I see the four angels flying at the top. I see the 24 elders gather around their throne. I rejoice in all of it, but I am brought to come boldly before the throne of grace through Jesus Christ to worship. And that means is that I must go back to read as you see there to recite his names. It is power to go through the scriptures and declare the names that have been given to God, the father, creator, Jesus Christ, creator, savior, redeemer, lamb of God, line of Judah, alpha omega, beginning in the end, right on down to go. He's the rock. He's the way, the truth, the life. He's the resurrection. He's the door. He's the, you just go through the names, Holy spirit, the teacher, the comfort, the Holy one, the Holy ghost, the Holy spirit and all these drawers that that's who we're speaking to. And we're getting ready to ask for some hard things. And we need this God where there is nothing too hard for him. He's a, he is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we could ask or think. So in your prayer time right now, that you just begin to go down through that the names of God. Yes, there you go. A good, good listing there of those from Arnie attributes of God, the works and the deeds of God. And again, I'm going to give you scriptures now that I have in my prayer notebook. Many of them I've memorized and I've recited in my prayer time because it reminds me again, who am I speaking to? What has he done? What is he doing? And what is he willing to do? Let us know the God of the word and the word of God. And the next one there, one of the great verses in the Bible that I always usually generally begin with is Exodus chapter 34 verses five through eight. Now only five through seven is on there and I'll explain eight in a moment, but this is where Moses gets to see the glory of God. And I'm not going to preach and teach this. I don't have time for that. I just want you to worship God as God declares his name here. Okay. The Lord, the Lord, God, merciful and gracious, abundant in goodness and truth, long suffering. Again, keeps the covenant, keeps his promises. He cannot lie. And then he does these things, keeps mercy for thousands. He forgives us when we go into our confession time to forgive us of our iniquity, our transgression and our sin, and that he will by no means clear the guilt. They will have to answer. Our nation is answering for our iniquities and our sins. And he invisits because of this generational sin from the fathers, the grandfathers, to the fathers, to our present day and what we're passing on to our children. They reap the visiting of the iniquity of the fathers upon the children into the third and fourth generations. Now verse eight, it says, and when Moses heard this and he saw the glory of God, is that he fell down and he worshiped him. And for those that follow me on Thursday night, our prayer, this has been one of my studies that there are 80 some verses in the Bible that gives us how, who and how they worship God. And we see the similarity. They bow, prostrate, bow down, humble, and they worship him. And again, we're worshiping him is that whether it's adoration, just silent worship, or whether it's speaking these things. And again, I'm speaking, asking you to create an agreement with this for what he has declared about himself in the scriptures. I have these verses that are reminders to me of God's power. He is omnipotent, all-powerful, nothing's too hard for God, right? So there's these verses of Genesis chapter 18, Jeremiah 32, Jeremiah 32, 27, Numbers 11, 23, Isaiah 59, five times in scripture where the question is presented and you and I are left to answer, is anything too hard for God? And the answer always comes back the same, no, nothing is too hard for God. Zechariah chapter 12, which is one verse of about 30 to 40 verses in the Bible that gives us the description of God the creator. And it says in this, the Lord which stretches forth the heavens, he lays the foundation of the earth and he forms the spirit of man within him. Multiple verses that again, when you look at God, the father who sits on the throne, Jesus, the son who sits at the right hand, the Holy Spirit, all of them back in Genesis chapter one, verse two, in the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. And then look up in the heavens and I see the stars, God, you created every one of them. You know them, you set them with your right hand. Lord, I look upon the landscape of the mountains and the hills and the valleys and the rivers, the continents, the oceans, Lord, you established it all for your purposes. And I say with David in the Psalms, who am I that you made me man made of dust, breathed into my nostrils the breath of life, gave me existence, passed by and said, live. And I began to live and God, you hold my very breath in your hand. Daniel chapter five, Job chapter 12, Psalm 104. He holds my breath, my soul in his right hand. This is the God that I'm praying to. This is the God I'm asking you to worship in this. And again, this, if you're going to pray an hour, these, these focuses of worship, confession and petition, the three subjects, it's just easily broke up. 15, 20 minutes of worship, 15, 20 minutes of confession and then spend whatever time is remaining in your petition, supplications and intercession. And that, that's an easy way to do it. I'm just setting an example in front of you here this afternoon of a concert of prayer that when God's people are together, corporately praying. And again, if we was able to interact on a zoom call or something like that, that you would be able to worship with other verses that I don't know or not familiar with, but they, they speak to you and you use them. To go down through some of these, Luke chapter seven, Jesus answered and said unto him, go your way. Tell John what things you've done. Again, knowing the gospel, what did Jesus do in his three years of ministry? The things that you have heard and seen. The blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised to the poor. The gospel is preached. You hear, you read, look what Christ did. He's the same yesterday, today and forever, right? He changes not and he's able to do the same today. And the reason that again, we've come to this place of knowing who God is, knowing what God did and to long and to look for it and to pray for it, Lord, do it again. Do it again. Come and do these mighty miracles and signs and wonders that you did in Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, that your disciples did in Acts, in the gospels there in that book of Acts. And that has been done for 2000 years by those who believe and those who were reminded that you are the same yesterday, today, and forever. Deuteronomy 32, verse 39, see now that I, even I am he, and there is no God with me. Now, I love these verses that God is declaring this truth. There are no other gods in this universe. None. There is no Allah. There is no Buddha. There is nothing of the mysticism of Hinduism. There is no positive vibes or karma. There is nothing but the forces of hell that we're working against that causes these lies. And there is the Lord God who created it all and he created everything that is in existence. That's the God that we're worshiping. I am God and there is no God with me. I kill, I make alive, I wound, I heal, and there is none that can deliver out of my hand. First Samuel, chapter 12, verse 24, considering how great things that God has done for men. There is much praise and thanksgiving that comes out of reading that verse. Look what God did for me. He saved my soul. He's blessed me with an opportunity to do the things that I've done. I'm playing the piano, the music to play for him, read the word of God and education. We know that there are people that are limited in this around the world. I consider a roof over my head, a stove for heat, food in the pantry, clothes on my back, opportunities to serve him. Consider how great things that he has done in providing, protecting, planning, orchestrating. As I said, one of the brothers that I was talking with, we prayed and thanked God for the divine opportunities that God has given us in our lifetime. Like I said, meeting Ralph Cetera, that was a divine moment to change my life forever. I thank God, I praise God for the things that he has done for me. And you right now to take your moment to say, God, I haven't, Lord, memories have been brought to my mind, things that I haven't thought about for a while. Lord, I just want to thank you for that. I want to praise you, Lord, that when I was discouraged, that I was reading my Bible and that verse jumped off the page to me and it brought such hope, such comfort to me. Lord, that was you. Thank you for what you did for me. Lord, I was discouraged and downcast and fearful and fretful. And I was listening to Christian music and that song played and it refreshed my soul and it brought joy to my heart. Lord, thank you for providing that song for me. Whatever it is, somebody's praying for you right now. Thank God for that. Someone gave you the gospel, presented you the gospel truth and religion to Christ with the gospel message and the gospel explanation of who he is and what he did and why he did it. And you embraced it and you said, forevermore, I'll follow the Lord. Thank God for that person. Maybe it was a Sunday school teacher. Maybe it was a parent, grandparent. Maybe it was a stranger. Maybe it was sitting in a church and the preacher preached and the gospel was given. Salvation took place. Every other answer, prayer, every other mercy, every other miracle for a moment, worship God and thank him for that experience in that moment in time that God showed up and did what he did. Deuteronomy chapter three, verse 24. Now again, time is an issue here, but I want to try to pause and give you moments to pray. So when I'm silent, I'm asking you to pray and cry out to God where you're at for these things that I'm presenting or whatever the Holy Spirit may be speaking to you, okay? Deuteronomy 3, 24. Oh Lord God, thou hast begun to show thy servant that great, now this is Moses writing, and thy mighty hand, for what God is there in heaven or in earth that can do according to your works and according to your might. Now Moses is asking a question, but it's a rhetorical question being answered. What has God begun to show us? Mighty moves, mighty works, mighty deeds. Thank you God. Thank you for all of that. Just consider what he's done and give him honor and praise for that. Mark chapter seven, verse 37. They were beyond measure in the stone of saying he has done all things well. Can you find one fault with God? Lord, I look at my life and any faults that are to be found, it is found on me. All that you have created, all that you've bestowed, all that you've given, every direction in my life that you have done has been for my betterment. You have done all things well. He has made both the deaf to hear, deaf and the dumb to speak. And we go back to those verses. Is there anything too hard for God? We look at impossible circumstances and situations, but in the work of God, in the hand of God, there's nothing too hard. He has done all things well. And even if it is not that what you agreed with, death, dying, destruction, it is still, he is still to be honored and glorified because it's for a reason and a purpose that you and I do not know. That verse was given last night. My ways are higher than your ways, my thoughts than your thoughts. As high as the heavens are above the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways than your thoughts. Lord, I yield to that. I don't know everything. I don't always know the best way, but I know you do all things well, and I honor you for that. So take a moment right now just to worship him in that truth and to make that statement, Lord, you do all things well. No if, ands, or buts. Ezekiel 1724. We read in this verse, and all trees of the field shall know that I, the Lord, have brought down the high tree. I have exalted the low tree. I've dried up the green tree, and I've made the dry tree to flourish. I, the Lord, have spoken, and I have done it. I love this verse. This is one of the most moving verses to me in my place before God. I look at a dead tree, and I know that it's good for nothing but to cut it up and throw it into the fire. In the springtime, I look at the live trees, and they bud, and they burst forth in greenness and fruit and all that. God does all that. He's able to make a dead tree live. He's able to make a living tree die. He's able to raise those who exalt themselves to bring them down, and to those that humble themselves, he's able to exalt, and he does it in two fashions here. He speaks it, and he just simply does it. I have spoken it, and I will do it, and I love this because, again, I'm asking God in my petition supplication intercessions, Lord, just say the word. All you and I need for God to do today for whatever burden we're carrying, for whatever desire of our heart, for our nation, for the state of the church, is just if God would say, I'm going to send revival today, who could stop him? If God would hear our prayers and our cries today and said, I have heard your prayers. I have seen your heart. I know that you're lamenting over the sins and the ways and the doings of this nation. I'm going to change that. I'm going to honor your prayer today, and he speaks it, and he will do it. That's all that is required, and I so often am pleading with God, begging God, beseeching God, whatever term you want to use, say the word, do it, and it shall be done. That's the power of God, but just take a moment right now to pray that. Okay, put that down. Now, I want a couple more moments for worship, and again, whatever verses that you have, whatever thoughts of scriptures that you know of God's attributes, works, deeds, incorporate them right now into your time of worship. We're trying to, again, for this concert of prayer, I've given you some suggested verses, some thoughts of things that move me, I use in my prayer time. I have over 200 verses in my prayer notebook here of just worship, of things that God has declared about himself, his names, as one brother was posting there, his attributes, and I rehearse over them. I go over them, and God's spirit speaks in me through that to worship him, to know him better with that. So, let me share a couple more that's not on the PowerPoint that I just want to present to you. Those are some introductory things that I always share with people and use in prayer moments and prayer times. But a couple of these others, one of the studies that I'm currently in right now is that I mentioned earlier about there is none like you, and there's roughly about two dozen of these verses in the Bible where God steps forward and he says, I have searched the heavens, I've looked everywhere, high and low, there is nobody else out here but me. And I love that, because again, that's our worship. Lord, you are the one true God. You are God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit, and there is none else. So, let me share a couple of those verses with you. You can write these down or just pray them as I'm reading, but this will conclude. I want to share with you a couple more on worship, and then we'll conclude for our worship time, and then we'll enter into that time of confession, which again is addressing the ways and the doings I brought to you earlier. There is none like you in Exodus chapter 8, verse 10. And he said, tomorrow, and he said, be it according to your word that you may know that there is none like unto the Lord our God. Now again, I'm not going to commentary and teach and preach on these verses, but this is Moses talking to Pharaoh when he's doing the judgments and the plagues upon Egypt, that you will know that there is none like me. If there is one thing that you and I can say about 2020, it should be that the church rallies to worship and say, of all the judgments and disasters that we've seen, there is none but the Lord God that can do this, and there is none but the Lord God that can get us out of this, and the realization of understanding that it is from God's hand. God is doing these things against us because of our ways and doings. That's the importance of knowing Exodus chapter 9, verse 14. For I will at this time send all my plagues upon your heart, upon your servants, upon your people, that you may know that there is none like me in all the earth. Again, sending all of his plagues. We have sampled some of the plagues and the wrath of God. We haven't got the full outpouring of his cup of wrath yet, but that's coming. And so what we have right now is enough for us to see the plagues and judgments that God is sending upon us, that there is, that you may know that there is none, that there is none like me. You look upon this time, people are explaining the COVID away, explaining, excuse me, the weather phenomenon away, and the church has not answered them to say the Lord God did this, because they don't want to have a negative God or angry God, or they don't want to have the full God that is in the Bible, that God is love, but God also hates. God is above, but God also is beneath. God is within, God is without, God is light, God is dark. They don't know God. So they only take the attributes that they want of God, the good side, the positive side, and they don't take the other side that is full composure. He is love, but he also has wrath. He does say, but he's also just against the wicked. So knowing these things, there is none like him in all the earth. Deuteronomy chapter 4, verse 35, unto you that it was shown that thou mightest know that the Lord, he is God, and there is none else beside you. You have people questioning, well, what about Buddha? What about Allah? There is none but the Lord God, and these are the reason I love this. It just comes back to that truth. No room, no room for all the different religions of the world, no room for the Antichrist, no room for the beast or the dragon, just the Lord God, and I am resolved. I pray you are resolved in your heart and your mind is to stay before God with this. Deuteronomy chapter 4, verse 39, know therefore this day, consider it in your heart that the Lord, he is God in heaven above, and upon the earth beneath, and there is none else. Now this, we're going to come back to this in petition, so I pray that maybe you can jot it down and remember it. God in heaven and God in earth. He created all that, right? Stretched it out, formed, stretched the heavens out, laid the foundations of the earth, but he rules and reigns in both places, and we're going to come back to that in our petition time, in our prayer time. First Samuel chapter 2, this is the wonderful answer that Hannah got for Samuel when she prayed for a child, and she worshiped God in this. Chapter 2, verse 2, there is none holy as the Lord. God is holy, for there is none beside him, and neither is there any rock like our God. And so again, descriptions, praise, thanksgiving, worship, it's all about God. You're not asking for anything, you're not confessing anything. Now it might lead to that at times, but again, it's just about God, who he is, what he's done, what he's doing, and who he'll always be, okay? Second Samuel chapter 7, verse 22, David rejoicing in what God had promised to him about his lineage. Wherefore, thou art great, O Lord God, for there is none, there is none like you, neither is there any God besides you, according to all that we have heard with our ears. And so again, testimony, what have you heard with your ears? Have you heard that there are many gods? Have you heard that there are multiple ways to get to heaven? There is one God, and we're worshiping him today. So just in this moment now, there is none like you. I only gave you a couple of those verses, there are many more of that. Again, all this stuff's on my blog, you can find that for your time period to use and incorporate. But just take a few moments right now to express that. Lord, any doubts, if answered, but Lord, you're it. There is none like you. Worship him, and then I'll give you a couple more of these verses before we switch to confession. All right, we transition now to the last worship, and this is again, I expressed to you this in Exodus chapter 34, verse 8, when God, when the name of God, the voice of God speak his name on Lord God, merciful, gracious, abundant in goodness and truth, he fell down and he worshiped. And so that captured me, for me to fall down and worship. So again, Thursday Night Hour, I've been sharing these with them. So let me share some of those, not all of these, of course, we don't, we're not going to do that. I'm just giving you verses and examples of what to incorporate into your time. 30 minutes we've been praying, worship, scriptures brought, names of God, acts, attributes of God, deeds and works of God, which honors and glorifies him. Exodus chapter 33, verse 10, and all the people saw the cloudy pillar stand at the tabernacle door, and all the people, they rose up and they worshiped him. When they saw the glory she kind, they worshiped him. And again, it's a hard thing to find people today that know how to worship God. Tozer would lay flat on his face on a carpet in his study, and he said, I could lay there for two hours, four hours, eight hours, and never ask for anything, just worship him. That's a rare breed to find someone that can just worship God for hours upon hours, because we always have to interject our comments in that, but just to worship him, just to adore him, to gaze upon him, and to see who he is, and the descriptions that are given to us in the scriptures, and especially in Revelation about what Christ looks like, the glorified Christ, it's astounding. Exodus 34, 8, I gave to you. Deuteronomy chapter 26, verse 10, and now behold, I have brought the firstfruits of the land which thou, O Lord, has given to me, and you shall set it before the Lord God and worship before the Lord thy God for what he has done, the giving of tithes, the giving of the offerings. Joshua chapter 5, verse 14, and he said, Nay, but as captain of the host of the Lord am I now come. And Joshua fell on his face to the earth, and he did worship him, and he said, What saith my Lord unto your servant? Worshiping before him, Lord, I'm not going to speak. I'm just going to be silent and listen. Speak, Lord, for thy servant is listening. I'm worshiping you, God. There is none like you. You are absolute perfection. You are absolute truth. You're absolute of all your things, faithfulness, righteousness, grace, glory, mercies. Nothing, nothing is defiled in you, Lord. You're taught from the top of your head to the sole of your feet, Lord. You're found with the beauty of your countenance and the beauty of who you are. We adore that. We worship that. We're drawn to that. And so any of these verses, just to worship him, and just take a few moments, and we'll conclude that at this time for worship. Again, 30 minutes we've done, numerous verses that we've given, and it's all about him. Nothing's too hard for you, God. We've heard your names. We've seen the things that we've seen, the things that we've heard. We're worshiping you, God. It's just about you. Just take a few moments now. I got to transition again for another. All right, let's spend time now in confession. Again, the concert of prayer, allow for people to express themselves in worship. Again, we say that today, and most people break into song, or they think the band's going to get up and play. I tried to set before you is that the scriptures that declare to us these things about God, who he is, what he's declared about himself, his names, his attributes, his works, and his deeds. The more you look upon God's holiness, and his righteousness, and his perfection, I think the more that we see our imperfections. And it leads us to this understanding how vile we are. We're just a worm, dust. Who are we that we should ever be able to approach unto God, except for his allowance of his grace and mercy that allows for us to come before him? And so our sins come up to our face and our realization of who we actually are. And then again, the ways and doings that I shared with you in opening of how far we've fallen away from God as a nation, as the church, our families, and in times in our own lives that we have sinned against him. And so part of this scriptures that again reveals to us about the sins that's being done. And again, as the children of Israel did, as you read through the Old Testament, and you see here in Isaiah and in Jeremiah specifically, again, there are almost 200 verses in Jeremiah alone, from chapter 1 to the conclusion of chapter 52. 200 specific verses where God said, this is what I have against you. This is a study that I'm in the process of doing of all the verses in the Bible that God does this. I only have the end part of Isaiah done to show to you. And again, I'm going to read the verse and you can read along with me. Again, most of this stuff's on my blog. Can you put that ticker scroll? Okay. You can go to this blog and you'll find the title sins, and you'll see the work that I'm doing there of what's there on the screen. And you can follow with me. I want to read a verse and I'm going to ask you to confess that verse as we see it in the nation, in our church. Sometimes they overlap and they're in both places or in our families or in my own life, confess that. And again, we're bringing the word of God so that we realize what we've done against God as the nation, as the church, that these things might not only confess, but repented of and corrected. This is what we've got to get to. We have got to get to correction for this hour. So we're going to spend at least 30 minutes. Be patient with me, stay with me. I know this is different for some of you. Some of you, maybe this is nothing, but you're used to this and wonderful. But some people, this is needs to be done in the corporate prayer meetings where the sins are read and expressed and that there is lamenting mourning and confession done because of how far that we've fallen away from God. Read with me, confess with me as I read these verses. Now, I may read a section or a phrase of the verse and just confess the sin and move on to the next one. Just try to follow with me. And again, if I lose you, I'm sorry, but let's move forward. And again, circumstances live stream makes it a little bit more difficult. Isaiah 52, verse five. And my name continually every day is blasphemy. Father, forgive our nation that I could walk into any store right now and I'll hear your name taken in vain. Ten commandments, thou shall not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain. I can walk into churches and they speak your name with their lips, but their hearts are far from you. Father, your name is blasphemed in our current condition. Isaiah 53, verse six. All we like sheep have gone astray. Lord, we've all sinned and come short of your glory. We've all turned everyone to his own way. Father, forgive us that we look to our own ways rather than your ways. And the Lord had laid on him the iniquity of us all. And again, I go back to worship here with this. Christ Jesus, you who took my sins. You bore my iniquities. Father, forgive me that I ever have done this against you going astray and going everyone to their own, my own ways, Lord. Isaiah 56, verse two. Those that keep the Sabbath from polluting it and keeps his hand from doing any evil. Father, forgive our nation that the Lord's day is destroyed as a day of worship and a day of rest. We integrate it with our things of family, sports, entertainment. Stores are open. Purchases are made. You are not feared. You are not revered. You are not worshipped. And our hands only find evil to do. We corrupt our hands with the things of the lust, of pride, of greed, of the addictions. It all comes from our fingers and our hands, Lord, that we put our hands to do evil things. Forgive us, O God, for polluting the Lord's day, Sabbath day, as it is here for the Old Testament, the Jews, but also we know the fourth commandment that shall keep the Sabbath day holy. Forgive us, O God, that we dishonor that and forgive us for our evil fingers and hands. Isaiah 57, verse 11. Of whom hast thou been afraid or feared that thou has led and has not remembered me? Forgive us that we have not remembered you, O God, we have forgotten you. Nor have we laid it to our hearts, Father, nor have we held peace even of old. You did not fear me. The fear of the Lord is gone from the nation. The fear of the Lord is gone from the house of God. Forgive us, O God. 59-3. For your hands are defiled with blood, your fingers with iniquity, your lips have spoken lies, and your tongues have muttered perverseness. Lord, forgive us again. Blood has been spilled. Record homicides, record suicides, record murder suicides across our nation. We have defiled the land with blood. Forgive us. Forgive our iniquity with our fingers. Forgive us, O Lord, that our lips have spoken lies rather than true and that we have said most perverse, vile, evil things that can be said on social media to our loved ones and desecrated, Lord, our holy vessels. Isaiah 59-4. None calls for justice, nor does any plead for truth. They trust in vanity and they speak lies. They conceive mischief and they bring forth iniquity. 59-6. Their works are works of iniquity and the act of violence is in their hand. Works of iniquity. Forgive us, O God, that we have labored and worked to do more evil and continue to abound in evil and that again the acts of violence is done on our streets, it's done in our homes, it's done in our minds, in our hearts, and we are filled with violence from north to south and east to west. 59-7. Their feet run to do evil. They make haste to shed innocent blood and their thoughts are thoughts of iniquity, wasting, and destruction are in their paths. Again, God being very specific with the sins, your thoughts, where your feet is taking you, running to do these things against God and bringing testimony against your own self that again only which leads us to destruction, death, and dying, and desolation. 59-12. For our transgressions are multiplied before God. Our sins testify against ways and doings, testify against us. Our transgressions are with us and for us for our iniquity we know them. Again, the knowledge of what we have done against God and increasing in transgressions and iniquities. Father, in our generation, we have increased fourfold evil transgressions and iniquities and we seek you for restraint, Father, for judging us and condemning us on all that. 59-13. In transgression and lying against the Lord, not against each other but against the Lord, we transgress and lie and we depart away from him. We have departed from the Lord God. Now this is to me not just the nation but the church. Speaking oppression, revolt, conceiving, uttering from the very heart words of falsehood and lies, speaking lies, telling people half-truths, telling them, tickling their ears, and telling them what they want to hear and not telling them the sound doctrine and the word of God and the truth of God. That's just the end of Isaiah. You see I haven't got all of Isaiah done but Jeremiah is all done. It's all complete. Do not have time to do all this. Again, a protracted time where again when people are saying why are these things happening? What's going on? Here's our answer. It's in the word of God. God has already told us we're doing the same things that Israel did and Jeremiah, Judah did against God, against his commandments, against his testimonies, and we're guilty. But you don't hear anybody confessing these things today and most people don't have a knowledge of these things. So let's again just read with me. You're praying where you're at confessing these things that God is revealing to us in the scripture of our offense as a nation, offense as his church, as people. There is a difference. You expect lost people to act lost. That's their nature. That's what they did. But you don't expect the church to be a part of these things. Our families, what you see in your sons and daughters, your brothers and sisters, your mothers and fathers, your husbands and your wives, what you see them do and bringing that before the Lord in confession. And then if there is a conviction, they're saying I'm guilty of this and that you confess it in your own self. Okay, that's the four areas of confession as we read down through these verses. 1-16, Jeremiah 1-16, go down through this with me. I will utter my judgments against them, touching all their wickedness, for they have forsaken me. I'm not counting them, but I can dare say that out of 200 verses, almost 200 verses in Jeremiah, half of them have to be this sin that God hates and that God has condemned. You have forsaken me. Your house is forsaken. Your word is forsaken. Your face is forsaken. Your name is forsaken. We have forsaken the Lord God as the United States of America, a God that this nation was built on by the pilgrims, by the founding fathers, a fear of God, the knowledge of God, the word of God. We have forsaken all that. We have forsaken you, burned incense unto other gods. That's the second major sin in Jeremiah, adultery and worshiping the works of your own hands. All that we have created, technology, internet, TV, iPhones, games, sports, family, these are our idols today. These are the things that when we read these over and over and over, that we are confessing before God, that which has taken our time, our energy, our money, everything. And we've invested in our false gods rather than investing in the kingdom of God. Chapter two, verse seven, I brought you into a plentiful country to eat the fruit thereof and the goodness thereof. But when you entered it, you defiled my land and you made my heritage an abomination. Cities, streets filled with pornography, prostitutes, drugs, alcohol, and poverty, wretchedness, evils, murders, you know, bloodshed. In so many cities, record setting, again, we've defiled the land and filled it with our abominations. Two-eight, the priest did not say, where's the Lord? Church never even asked where God was. And they that handled the law, they didn't know me. The house of God, the people of God do not know who God is. Pastors have transgressed against me, the prophets prophesied by Baal, and they walked after things that do not profit. Again, sin in the church. How many preachers have we watched confess just the 2020 of sexual issues of sin, of adultery and lasciviousness and those things? All the false prophets, dozens of them, you know, nationally known people that stood out and made false prophecies against God, using God's name, God told me when it was a lie. And there's many other verses in Jeremiah where he addresses that. Two- thirteen, my people have committed two evils. They have forsaken me, the fountain of living waters, and feed them out cisterns, broken cisterns, which that cannot hold any water. But God forgive us for forsaking you. God forgive us for looking somewhere else, broken cisterns rather than the fountain of living water. Two-seventeen, hast thou procured this unto thyself? And that you have forsaken the Lord thy God when he led you by the way. All the ways that God has led us, the great awakenings, the Bibles, great preachers, great churches, great, great opportunities God has given to us through the years. And what have we done? We've corrupted ourselves. Two-nineteen, thy own wickedness shall correct thee, then thy backslidings shall reprove thee. Know therefore and see that it is an evil thing, better that you have forsaken the Lord thy God, and that my fear is not in you, saith the Lord of hosts. God forgive us for our wickedness, forgive us for forsaking you, forgive us for not fearing you, and forgive us for our backslidings, God, away from you. In that one verse you see this multiple theme that's found throughout Jeremiah. Two-twenty-nine, wherefore will you plead with me? You all have transgressed against me. We're all in this together. You know, it's not just the lost, it's not just the heathened. All of us have sinned against the Lord in allowing this and causing this and not not standing up against this. It's our fault. We are guilty. Two-thirty-two, can a maid forget her ornaments or a bride her attire? Yet my people have forgotten me days without numbers. Oh God, forgive us that we've gone days. Has it been weeks? Has it been months that you have forsaken the Lord, but you haven't been drawn into your cobwebs and ground in your secret closet? Dust has gathered on your bibles. God, forgive us that we have forsaken you and forgotten you days without end. Then also in the skirts is found all these things. The innocent blood of the poor innocent God again. Two-thousand-two hundred babies have been aborted today. Father, forgive us for the blood of the innocence that has been spilt on our ground today. Chapter three, verse two. I'm not going to try to speed up and get through all this. I'm just giving you verses. You have the blog post, you have that's not scrolling. My blog, you can go there and find all these and use this for your time of confession as an example. Lift up your eyes into the high places. This is their idolatry. See where they have been, that they have lain in the ways which and they have sat for them as the Arabian underworld. You have followed, polluted the land with your whoredoms and with your wickedness. Can't hardly go to a county, can't hardly go to a city where there is not pollutions that is filled with whoredoms and wickedness. God, forgive us that we have defiled the land. Three-three. Therefore, the showers have been withholden and there has been no latter rain. You have a horse forehead and you refuse to be ashamed. I mentioned that earlier. Those who aren't even ashamed, they don't have the ability to boss you anymore. Innocence is robbed from them. Naiveness is gone. They have a horse forehead. They are adamant that they are allowed to live this way. They can live any way that they want. Doesn't matter whether God's upset with them or not. And that's what he's talking about. Thirty-five. Will he reserve his anger forever? Will he keep it to the end? For behold, you have spoken and done evil things as you could. We've been allowed with freedoms and opportunities and advancement in this nation. And what have we done with it? We have allowed for evil to be spoken and done as we could do it. Thirty-three-six. The Lord said also unto me, the days of Josiah the king, hast thou seen that which backsliding Israel has done? She has gone up upon every high mountain and upon every green tree, and there she has played the harlot. And so again, the guiltiness across all of them, they all went to their false gods, their false idols. Examine your heart. Is there anything that takes away from God that you go to worship rather than he and he alone? Three-seven. And I said, after she had done all these things, turn unto me. But she would not return. And her treacherous sister Judah saw it and did worse. So again, we read that God gives the invitation to return. Father, forgive us that after 9-11, we didn't return. Forgive us, God, after Hurricane Katrina, we didn't return. Forgive us, God, after homosexuality was legalized, we didn't return to you. And even after all that we've seen in 2020, we still have not returned unto you. Three-eight. And I saw when for all the causes whereby backsliding Israel committed adultery, I put her away. God forgive us for adultery. Yet her treacherous sister Judah feared not, but went and blamed the harlot also. Forgive us that we've seen what you did to your own people, and we are doing worse than what they did. We know what Sodom and Gomorrah did, and we're doing worse than Sodom. Oh God, forgive us that we're doing worse. Three-nine. And it came to pass through the likeness of her whoredom that she devoured the land, she committed adultery. Again, the guilt that is placed upon us for these things. Three- thirteen. Acknowledge your iniquities that thou has transgressed against the Lord thy God. Forgive us, Father, our iniquities have increased. Our transgressions are against you and you only. And we have scattered your ways to the stranger under every green tree, adultery, and you have not obeyed the voice of the Lord, saith the Lord. Forgive us, Father, that we've turned a deaf ear to you. We've not risen up in obedience, and we've gone away from you rather than coming to you. Chapter four, jump down. Four-fourteen on Jerusalem. Wash your heart from wickedness that you may be saved. How long shall your vain thoughts lodge within thee? Thoughts of the mind. Take captive every thought, idle thoughts. God knows our thoughts. Vain thoughts, that is not for his glory, not for his purpose. How much mind energy, brain power is used for vanity? God, forgive us for that. Four-seventeen. Because she had been rebellious, God, forgive us for our rebellion. Remember First Samuel, that Samuel wrote that. He said, Rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft. Father, forgive us for our rebellion. Four-eighteen. Thy ways and thy doings have procured these things. Again, what I preached earlier, the ways and doings. This is thy wickedness because it is bitter, because it reaches into your heart. Again, thoughts, vain thoughts. Jesus declared these things out of the heart, perceives these things. What things? Adultery, murders, drunkenness, lies, deception. All these things come out of the heart of a wicked person. And so again, Father, cleanse our hearts. Forgive us, O God, of our thoughts. Forgive us of our hearts. And forgive us of our intent. Five-two. And though they say the Lord lives, surely they swear falsely. They say the right things, but their hearts are far from them. They lie. We are not followers of a lie. Satan is the father of lies. Let the lost and the wicked follow him. But you and I are supposed to be those who speak truth, live truth, know truth. Five-three. O Lord, are not thy eyes upon the truth that thou hast stricken them? But they have not grieved. This is where we're at. God is doing it, but there's not much grief or sorrow. You have consumed them, but they have refused to receive correction, and they have made their faces harder than the rock. They have refused to return. Open rebellion. God has done these things right in front of us, and we refuse to return to him. Five-four. Therefore I said, surely these are poor. They are foolish, for they know not the ways of the Lord. Ignorance, not knowing the word of God, not knowing the God of the word, and nor do they know the judgments of God. COVID, God sends plagues through whatever device, instrument, governments, individuals, carelessness, medicine. God sends and allows plagues. God sends corruption and evil, allowance of this because of people's ways and doings. One passage of scripture is that God said, I'll let you increase in murders and homicides so that you defile the land, so I can judge you. Three or four times in the Old Testament, he says that. I allow for you to defile the land so that I might bring my judgment upon you. You and I are supposed to be standing in the gap, interceding for him for these iniquities that are before us. How shall I pardon you? Five-seven. How shall I pardon you for these things? Your children, generation, your children have forsaken me and sworn by them that are no gods. They worship the false gods of iPhones, TikTok, Snapchat, social media. That's their goals because that's what they spend their time in doing rather than being in the word of God, presence of God, the house of God, and with the people of God. They bring these things against us. Five- eleven. For the house of Israel and the house of Judah has dealt treacherously against me, saith the Lord. We've dealt against God rather than dealing with God or for God in this. Five-nineteen. Wherefore does the Lord our God all these things unto us? And the answer to the question, then shall thou answer them like as you have forsaken me and served your false gods adultery. So shall you serve strangers in a land that is not yours because we have forsaken him and served our idols. God says now you'll do it somewhere else and I'll judge you for that. Now it is brothers and sisters that again, just reading scriptures, showing you these verses that God, I've given you this blog post. Again, I'm still working on all the minor prophets from right after that. I have Jeremiah and Lamentations done, but Ezekiel through Malachi, numerous verses here that are set in front of us that God is declaring what we are guilty of, what God sees, what God knows, that the nation's guilty of, the church is guilty of. And I'm asking you that again, in your concert of prayer, private prayer, sometimes again, when you say God forgive us of all of our sins, God does in his grace and mercy. But sometimes God gives us a list like this in front of us and says, now be specific. Do you know what you've really done against me? Do you really know the high cost of forsaking God, of worshiping idols, of not obeying, not keeping his commandments? Because this is what has produced the judgment. Why are these things happening? Because we've sinned against the Lord God. What sins? Right here they are. And it is up for us as the church to know, to speak them, to confess and repent of them and to make that correction. And so we've worshiped God for about 30 minutes. We've been in confession here for 25 minutes. And again, you could go on because again, I haven't even got out of the first couple pages of this. There's numerous of these verses throughout the Bible. And you go over to the New Testament, the fruits of the flesh that Paul writes to know each one of those 17 sins that are listed there, the 10 commandments to know what we've done against God, spoken against God, the things that Jesus declared, how the heart perceives these things. We ought to know those things. And you confess these things. And especially when you see them in your family, if you see them in the church. It's one thing to expect it in a lost society, but it's not supposed to be in the church. What business does light have with darkness? And so know these things, confess these things. And the allowance of this is to come before God with worship, confession. And now we're going to transition here in these last moments for this time of petition, supplication, and intercession. I'm going to allow for you, just take a few moments, read down through some of those. I'm going to go ahead and click the slides and you can see some of these verses. If you haven't gone to the blog to look these up and you can see some more of the read down through. And as you're reading confess, it's probably faster for you to read them and confess than it is for me to read them out and confess them. Again, time-wise, just glance through the verses, note the sin, confess the sin, recognizing who's guilty of that. You've seen Jeremiah verse after verse, chapter after chapter is filled. Mainly the first half of Jeremiah is where the bulk of these are at. 713, but you wouldn't, I spoke, but you wouldn't listen. I called, but you wouldn't answer. God, forgive us. We didn't have ears to hear. God, forgive us that we didn't obey. 8-7, last one on that page, but my people know not the judgments of the Lord. It's needful for us to study these judgments that God's doing in the scriptures. What we see in the, what he's already done and to see what he's doing, we see the hand of God judging us. Chapter eight, verse nine, they have rejected the word of the Lord and what wisdom is and the father forgive us in the church, in the homes, in our own hearts and across the nation that we have rejected the word of God. Chapter 11, verse nine, I'm just reading the first and the last. This is the Lord and the Lord said unto me, conspiracy is found among the men of Judah and among the inhabitants of Jerusalem. Guilty. Conspiracy against God. Talk about all the conspiracy theorists out there today. I ain't heard anybody confess that we have conspired against God. His ways, this is not what he intended for our nation. 11-10, they are turned back to the iniquities of their forefathers, which refused to listen, the listening problem again. And they went after other gods to serve them, adultery. The house of Israel, the house of Judah have broken the covenant. The church has broken the covenant. The United States has broken the covenant of our forefathers that made it there on Plymouth Rock and in the founding fathers. 12-8, my heritage is unto me as a lion in the forest. It cries out against me, therefore have I hated it. There again, God speak. I hate that to those that cry out against me. Those that are out there in education and politics, there is no God. God has no place in the government. They cry out against him. God says and I hate that. 13-9, thus saith the Lord after this man or will I marvel at the pride of Judah and the great pride of Jerusalem, pride. We're the United States. We can't fall. That'll never happen to us. Take very consideration, pride. Pride always comes before the fall. 14-14, then the Lord said unto me, prophets prophesied lies in my name. I sent them not, neither did I command them. These prophets, they present a false vision. How many of them stood out there on November the 3rd and they declared all that? National television, their live streams, their churches. I had a dream, I had a vision. God spoke to me that President Trump was going to win second term on November the 3rd in a landslide vote. That's what they prophesied. Pat Robertson, Kenneth Copeland, right on down the line, major names across the church ministries, small pastors, they all said, and not one of them repented that they spoke false word to God's people because God's people was listening. They spoke lies, not truth, and they've not repented of any of it. Now you say, well, it was still decided on January 6th, January 14th. I'm saying they said November the 3rd, they lied. And people are still following them. They ought to sit down and be quiet until they get right with God. We don't have time or terms for these false prophets. We need truth. We need the word of God. And it is that truth to pray for as we go into our petition times. Brothers and sisters, I'm going to stop. I just, I want to go down through this so much because these are very specific sins. I've been using these in my prayer time, reading down through them, getting familiar with them and the necessity and the need for God to speak into us. Because again, to know we're in our high fences against God. And again, the people that are guilty of it, me personally, family, church, or the nation. And so the concert of prayer during confession, let the word of God be written that reveals the sins of the people and then let confession and repentance be done in the midst of that. All right. I want to use these last moments again for our concert of prayer. We've done 30 minutes of worship, 30 minutes of confession, could have gone on probably for two hours alone, just with the confession, with all the verses in Jeremiah. We're setting an example before you. We're asking you to pray in agreement with us, the word of God that I'm sharing with you. And again, as you're there in your respective place and you've been able to read those or hear me speak and crying out in your own heart, in your own mind, in your own soul, the same things that you're burdened with as you see these things, knowing our ways and our doings has caused these things. And the response is to recognize it, be aware of it, not to be in ignorance. We know now. Respond appropriately. And so we come to the third section of the concert of prayer, which is petition, which is supplication, and which is intercession. So I'm going to give you topics here in this. And again, if we was in a corporate setting, you could just turn the people loose and their heart cries would be for their loved ones. Their heart cry would be for revival, spiritual awakening. Those are the targets that you pray for and allow for people to cry out their burdens, praying for missionaries. Let's just start there. Let's just start with the church in our petition time right now. I'm just going to give you topics, points, and for about 10, 15 minutes here, I'm going to pause after each one and allow for you to pray into that. But again, our heart and our focus is the kingdom of God. We pray that prayer. Again, if you could say all that, quote all that, do it. Our father, which art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done. Go ahead and recite the rest of that. But I want to focus on his kingdom come, his will be done. God's kingdom, God's will. What is God's desire? What is his will? That he be glorified, right? First, first rule, the catechism is that all things are created for the glory of God. Let that kingdom bring glory to your name. Now we're praying for the church. Are we bringing glory to his name right now as the North American church? Is your personal testimony and walk bringing glory to his will and his kingdom? Father, petition, supplication, bring your church to the place that they glorify your name. So look across the church. May the pulpits preach and declare your glory and bring glory to your name. Sunday school teachers, teachers, those that attend and worship you father in spirit and in truth, let them glorify your name. Let the prayer clauses, intercessors, prayer warriors, let them bring glory to your name. Let the musicians stand up and sing and herald your truths with music and lyrics and bring glory to every aspect that you can think about in the ministry of the church. Missionaries, those that are tending to the needs of the medical profession, the food, the clothing, prison ministries, nursing homes, chaplains, cross the board, holding up thy kingdom come, thy will be done. Pray into the kingdom right now. All those different things plus the things that you, Lord's bringing to your mind right now, just pray into that for a moment. I just want to give you these topics, pray into it, and then we'll move to the next one. Let's stay with the kingdom here for a moment. Let's look across the nations, over 200 nations. We heard Carter talk last night about 211 nations joined them for the Tuesday night prayer meeting. God's kingdom in those nations. Every brother, every, that's the reason when we see in Nigeria that the Boko Haram is attacking our brothers and sisters and butchering them in Ethiopia. The refugee camps that again, they're attacking, killing Christians, that we lift up a cry to God for our brothers. According to Galatians chapter six, pray ye one for another. Pray for those that are on this call, brothers and sisters scattered across the United States and other nations that have joined us. Pray one for another for thy kingdom come, thy will be done. Pray for an enabling of opportunity to finish the task, to get to those lost people groups that don't have the gospel. Pray for the translators that they would be emboldened and accelerate in the interpretation of the scriptures to get the Bibles to them. Pray for the missionaries that are on site that they would be encouraged and strengthened and spirit-filled, that they would go to city by city, street by street, house by house, according to Acts 20, knocking on every door and heralding the gospel. Pray for the kingdom, pray for against, pray for something you pray against, pray against those things that come against the kingdom. Pray against the forces of hell, pray against the governments and the persecution, pray against the false religions, pray against men's antics and actions that seek to silence the church and ask of God who nothing is too hard for him. Remember our worship, word you are able, just say it, just do it, protect the brother, deliver them, be with those in prison, use them, may they not, may they know that they are not alone in that prison so that we are there with them. One heart, one mind, one soul, one body. Pray for them, pray for the days ahead and whatever next year. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done. God directs us as the kingdom. What are we supposed to do for your kingdom come, your will to be done? Open the doors, give us ears to hear what the Spirit is saying and lead us in the power and the authority of the Holy Scripture for thy kingdom come, thy will be done. Pray into that for a moment right now for the new year, for the churches, for you and I that we would know, hear and respond in obedience to the things that the Holy Spirit is leading us to do. All right, let's pray. Continue to pray into the kingdom, the masses. We pray for again those not only as we are praying we'll get to a revival here in a moment but we're praying for a spiritual awakening where the lost are redeemed and saved. Faith comes by hearing, hearing by the Word of God. Look upon the harvest, it's white unto harvest but pray for laborers to go into it. So let's pray for that right now. Lord send laborers, raise up laborers and send them into the harvest for spiritual awakening across our nation and the nations. May men hear the call, may they obey the call. May you divinely lead them to the places that you want them to be. Look upon the masses, your loved ones, my loved ones, see them perishing with compassion, with fervency because this might be their last day, their last hour. God who holds his breath in his hand may say your time's up and they'll die and perish and be in hell forever and ever and once in hell always in hell. So pray for God to rescue them, redeem them, send someone to them today. Today is the day of salvation, now is the accepting time. Pray, pray into that for the lost right now. Father you said your will is that none would perish, none would go away from you. Pray for them right now, just pray into that. So much to give. Let's pray for revival right now. This has been a heart cry for me and so many of you for God's glory to come down, that which is hindering it. Five sins of confession again that I didn't cover back in confession time that we grieved the Holy Spirit, resisted him, limited him, disobeyed him, grieved him, quenched him. Those sins against the Holy Spirit that makes him depart from us rather than fill us. Let all that be removed. Let me be a holy people, faithful people, ready people, long anticipated. Lord again you know the prayers of revival and the psalmist there, well they'll not revive us again. There is Ezra where he said a little revival, a little moment of outpouring. Again we've heard about mercy drops but showers of blessings were pleading for. You know the deacon that prayed that prayer in the Hebrides when Duncan Campbell finished preaching that night and he stopped him right there in the middle of the aisle as they were exiting at 11 o'clock at night and he lifted up his head to the heavens and said Lord did you not say, pleading God's word back to you, Lord did you not say that you would pour out water upon those that are thirsty and Duncan Campbell said and right there there was a clap and the ground shook and he spoke it and God came down because someone prayed the word of God back to him. Did you not say? What verse do you have that you give back to God? Lord did you not say? I've been fixed on Chronicles 20 where Jehoshaphat is praying the enemies have come and he said Lord are you not the God of the heavens and the God of all the nations? Lord you're God. You can do anything what you want to do here. Do it now for your name's sake. For your name's sake Lord revive your people. Pray into revival. Whatever verse it is pray into it that you use to ask God revive thy people. Let me quote to him and then I'll be solid. Revive us again fill each heart with thy love. May soul be rekindled with fire from above. Pray into it. I know I could leave you for 10-15 minutes and you pray into revival and if you Lord leading you to do that stay there. Again we're setting a example of topics and things to pray into. Pray before the Lord. Again I pray that there are other things that the Lord's revealing to you to write down to share to use with your prayer groups, your zoom calls, your small groups, however you're praying. But again we're setting this. What is going on? Why is this happening? What are we supposed to do? We're supposed to do this. We're supposed to come before God and bring these things before God and wait for him. Trust in him that he's going to answer. We're closing this year out. We're getting ready for the new year. I want to ask you in the way of this concert of prayer that you would renew your vows before God. Your walk with God, your Christianity, whatever this year has brought to you. Whether you backslid, whether you've been faithful, whether you've grown in grace, I want you to renew your vows for the closing of this year and to say Lord I didn't this past year I don't want to I don't want to have another one like this in my spiritual walk. I don't think any of us will sign up for what we've already seen but unfortunately that may not be we don't may not have an option on that. But it is is that you and I as individuals to renew your vows. Lord hear my. You saved me. I'm yours. My name's written in the Lamb's book of life. I know I know whom I have believed and I am persuaded. Just haven't been faithful father. I'm prone to wonder. Lord I know. Prone to leave the God I know. Lord I just want to be faithful. Spirit fill me that I would not walk away. Take me. I always pray that by the scruff of the neck. Don't let me go. Well who wasn't? I was home. Jesus got a hold of my life and he won't let me go. Lord don't let me go. Be thou faithful and let me be faithful. Forgive me any any wonderings, any backslide, any mistime and let me be all for thee Lord today. I'm yours. You're mine. And we're going to go into this new year spirit- filled and ready to be used of God in whatever door that he opens. Just give you time right now. You and the Lord. You and the Lord. No one else. You and the Lord. All right. I want to I want to come to the conclusion. There's many other things again targets our communities, our schools, COVID families that are going through that, life, death, sickness, health, unrest in our strength, society, government with the elections, all these things you can bring before God petition that. But again spiritual things are much more needed in this hour than than the physical things. But I understand people's minds and hearts are so geared to the physical things more than the spiritual. But have a happy balance in your in your petition supplications that you pray more spiritual things than you do physical things. But I want to give you a warning now as we conclude. I've preached to you the ways and doings. I've shared a portion of the scriptures, but you have access to all that on my blog of the sins that we're guilty of that God condemned. I want to go with a warning right now with what we've seen this past year and what may be coming for the next year or shortly soon for what we're heading into. And it's that last word that I've brought to you. We've already experienced death, dying, and destruction. But the last one is desolation. And that desolation is the when you read through the scriptures there where God just obliterates everything. The false prophets as we confess them about those that have stood on national stages and lied to the people of God in the name of God. You read there, he removed them from the earth. The one guy died two months after after Jeremiah spoke against him because he taught the people falling against God. I mean, this is life and death of these false prophets. Scary. We go into the new year with this hesitancy of unmoving the people as the church. And if we don't prevail in that urgency to prevail, that desperation that you've heard me express time and time again is not done. This is what awaits, desolation. That we won't have anything of convenience. We won't have anything of interaction on the Internet or livestream. It'll all be gone. We'll look at homes and streets that are existing but non-existent. We will see the horrors of war and the outcome of that where people turn on each other out of the most basic carnal violence and discrepancy against other people with no regards for life and only self-preservation. We read about it in the Old Testament is that mothers and fathers will eat their sons and their daughters or sons and daughters will eat their mothers and their fathers because the famine and the food shortage will be so bad. We got a glimpse of that back in March and April where we saw the stores ransacked and there was no supplies that could replenish it fast enough and people get violent and people get hateful and people are selfish and they turn on each other. Desolation is when you have that, that there is nothing to fight over and they cease to want to exist and they cease to want to live. They have no fear of God. You read that in Revelation when the judgments are being poured out and people are a third of the people die and a third of the trees are consumed, a third of the birds and the animals are destroyed, the oceans are polluted, defiled with the volcanoes and all the natural disasters and it says and still they would not repent to God. I mean this is when God utterly abandons civilization. He did it in Noah's days. He did it to Sodom and Gomorrah. He did it to Babylon and he'll do it to us. Desolation when God is no more. There'll be no more worship services, no more freedoms. There won't be any more. It'll just be survival. What can you do to eat today? Where can we find water today? How are we going to get through this today? You're not worried about tomorrow because you don't know about today. There are curses in the book of Deuteronomy 28. Pay very close attention to that where he says in the morning you'll wish that it was night and at night you'll wish that it was day and you go through days just hoping that it all soon comes to an end. All hope is gone. We come to that place of desolation. We will remember a moment like this when God gave us time to cry out. People didn't want to pray two hours. People didn't want to have a concert of prayer. They wanted to have a concert but it was a concert of musicians or a stage performance but they didn't want to pray. They saw the signs of the times. They read the headlines. They know what happens. They go down to the restaurant and they hear the banter and the conversation about did you hear what happened so-and-so but they're unmoved by it. They don't care. Apathy becomes the rule of thumb. They see the horrors of Nashville and the screams and they're unmoved by that saying well that's Nashville that's not us only to know that within 24 hours it'll be on your doorstep. It is lack of compassion. It's a lack of awareness of where we're at and how bad it is. It's a lack of misunderstanding of God the judgments of God that we read about and my people do not know the judgments of God. He has attacked our natural side. He's attacked our economic side. He's attacked our government, our education system, the homes. When all the foundations are broken up what does this what does the foundation what does the society do? It ceases to be and because again our foundation upon the Lord God has been bankrupt because we have forsaken him it is now time to reap the whirlwind. It is a time when God says don't pray for these people no more and again I have not come to that place. I still believe or I wouldn't put this concert of prayer before you today and yesterday. I still believe is that there's time hope. I still believe he's able and I believe many of you do too but these things must be made known and dealt with. So I've taken this afternoon to set before you a concert of prayer, a petition, confession, and worship. Again you can use it in any way shape or form that you see fit. It's not I don't have any markings on this it's just my heart that I put out there to say this is what the Lord leads me to do.
