Lord, I tremble over the histories of churches, dear God. And so, Heavenly Father, we do come to you this evening, this afternoon, Lord. We ask you to speak to us through the reader. This afternoon, Father. Amen. The name of this message is, Why Revival Means. You know, in the late 1950s, Luther Ravendell, as you heard about right there at the panel, wrote a very classic book and it was called, Why Revival Means. It was always Luther that poured his heart and poured his revival into his people. And Brother Luther answers that question very well in that book, Why Revival Means. But the question that affects my mind through the years, as I consider the different movements of God, the different people of God, is not so much why, but why does it mean? I'm asking the question, why does revival mean? You know, as I've studied that and just looked at a little bit of the history of revival, I've looked at some. In our own revival, as I look at some of these places that John Russell, dear brother, has been and created. When I read the sermons of John Russell and I read some of these, there's a tremendous question. Some of the revivals, like, recently I did a study in East Africa. Indian, in a way, is in genocide, in a biblical term. I looked at the Welsh revivals. It's probably the biggest revival. Why? Let's open up our lives to 1 Samuel, chapter 4. You know, the Bible has no word for why revival means or the process of when revival means. It has its word for when the glory of God comes. That is the Hebrew word for what happens.
