It discusses the impact of revival, the confession of sins, and the true conversion of lives when individuals draw closer to God's truth. The message also stresses the significance of the local church in continuing the work of Pentecost, focusing on discipleship and the birth of the church. Lastly, it calls for repentance, addressing the need to amend our ways, turn from sin, and trust in the Lord for true transformation and revival. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ CONTENT ------------------------------------------------------------------------ You know, something fuzzy, I don't want to make this something mystical, I'm going to make it very clear, Jesus said, in John chapter 3, verse 19, Jesus made it clear that light is coming to the world, and made up darkness rather than light. For everyone that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. The truth cometh through the light, and his deeds may be made when he cometh to the light. You come and, you know, they acknowledge you, but the closer you get to the light, you do see more truth. But you don't forget, you don't forget, but you don't remember, because Jesus said this, that light is coming to the world. So we see the revival often times. We see the revival, things, God's truth, God's speech, the sin is being dealt, the confession is being made, people are getting right with God, people are getting born again. That's a totally new, not just turning over a new leaf, not just turning over a new leaf, but truly a conversion of their life. But then, the longer as holy as the bride, the longer are they concerned with those things. I can remember when I first got to the very bottom. They laughed about the way we were preaching. And they had these contemporary Christians and a bunch of albums and those things, albums and rock albums and all this shit. And they said, God gave us one of these big jackets. God, we're stuck dealing with those things. You know? The last point I want to bring out is this. Just three points. I looked at God. When I looked through history, he always made himself. It seems that sin is no longer dealt with. Number two, sin was no longer dealt with. But number three. He said revival. Brothers and sisters today, let me ask you something. Pentecost was the birth of what? The church. Pentecost was the birth of the church. Unless the local church comes up there behind me and takes these things and disciples these things. It's not meant for us just to be having a convention. It's not meant for us to have a student on Pentecost. Pentecost was not the birth of just big meat. It was the birth of the church. Jesus, once he gave that poor, half-employed spirit so that these men would take these things. I'll tell you what number three. Why I have it too. And then in the early 1950s and 1940s. They started going to all this pain. And they were also in Rwanda and Uganda. There's no doubt when you read about this early revival. It started to get so far and so long. And then. And one of the things that shocked me. Is that when I read some of those reports of those people. They said that in the river between Rwanda and Tanzania. God. Jesus said. Jesus said. That he wants to. Us to go and teach. All of this. All of this. Pentecost was the birth of the church. Was the birth of a huge church. The idea of reading. Sometimes today's preachers. And I read a recent little book that they were talking about. When they get into an area. To make sure that we don't. We don't put our convictions on them. We don't. I think as preachers. As ministers of the word of God. We should speak forth the word of God. And let me just say something. You know that in history. Some of the worst atrocities in human history. Have been done by people with a clear conscience. Do you realize that? In this very area. In this very area. You must mess up the word. Revivalism brings in a break. You sort of messed up the whole area. Even the church of the living God. Should come in there. This place. I was stunned by a book. This book was even novel actually. It was made by. It was written in the early 90's. This is an interesting book. Because it shows a multi-generational time. And now we have someone who used to be. And one of the times. This one minister is with another. And he is telling this other one. That the local man. If you allow me. My friend. I am a Christian. It is not in my heart to hate the white man. It was the white man. That brought my father out of darkness. But you will pardon me. The tragedy is not that things are broken. The tragedy is that. Things are not new. The white man. Has broken his heart. And in this resolution. But the house that is broken. These are the tragic things. That is why children break the law. And old white people get robbed. And beaten. He passed his pen. These are the white men. They are colossal. There are some white men who gave their lives. They are afraid. That God may destroy. His truth and his life. He desires his church to feed. And to minister. He desires local pastors to rise up. He desires the local church to take these revivals. To take these pouring out of God. God wants us to repent of God. He wants us to sin again. And he wants us to sin again. When Peter was there. At the very end of the gospel. Crying. You know I love you Lord. Jesus brings forth these beautiful things. To wake the church and to prepare the church. Jesus said in Matthew 28. At the very end. Go ye therefore and teach all nations. Baptizing them in the name of the Father. And in all things. What so ever. In closing. I am talking about Jeremiah. Jeremiah. Chapter 7. Remember Shiloh again. You see. Shiloh happened. God remembers it. He wants to mark something. He wants that. That phrase Ichabod. To be reminded. To be remembered by you. He wants you to grow. Over what happens. With the holiness. And the glory of God. And he says to his prophet Jeremiah. Chapter 7. Verse 1. This is the word of Jeremiah. Chapter 7. Verse 1. The word came to Jeremiah. From the Lord. Saying. Stand in the gates of the Lord's house. And proclaim. And proclaim. That this word is saying. Hear the word of the Lord. And he of you that enter in at these gates. To worship the Lord. Thus said the Lord. The host. The God of Israel. Amend your ways. And your doing. And I will cause you. Listen now. Trust not. In lying words. Saying this. Stir up something. Don't trust in that. Pray to the Lord. And shed not this. Neither walk after other gods. For I cause you to dwell in this place. In the land that I gave you. In lying words. When you steal, murder, and commit adultery. And swear falsely. And for an instance to bail. And walk after other gods. Whom you know not. And come and say. Which is called by my name. Is this house. Which is called by my name. And come to me. For I have seen and said the Lord. ======================================================================== Video: https://sermonindex2.b-cdn.net/-_xaOFOqlhk.mp4 Source: https://sermonindex.net/speakers/dean-taylor/dean-taylor-part-4/ ========================================================================
