To know the Word of God. To be a student of God. A worshipper of God. To know Jesus Christ. I also find it very important to be very involved in a local church. Jesus Christ gave us the local church to be the ambassador kingdom until the final kingdom comes. And so the idea to be plugged in accountable to a local church I do believe very important to what Jesus left us here on earth. It's too common today for us to be frustrated with the church. And I understand this. I've been working over in Lesbos Island with the refugees. And hundreds of these refugees are coming to Christ from the Muslim background. And I ponder their life in the new Christianity. And I told them over there, I said, the church, it's probably the most frustrating, the hardest thing that I've ever had to do is to be with brothers, accountable to brothers to be real and to go through the stuff of earth that it takes to be in a church. And I believe though being in a real brotherhood truly accountable to one another is very essential. I would also really encourage the reading of biographies and the early church and men that have come before us. There's so much fluff today in American Christianity. And just picking up some of these men that have come before us and women that have come before us is so inspiring, so encouraging. Have a real relationship with Jesus Christ. Be truly committed to a local brotherhood and be connected. Consider the way that have come before us and that great cloud of witnesses that's cheering us on. And I think that these are good things that will help us along our way. ======================================================================== Video: https://sermonindex2.b-cdn.net/1uEVqj4EK64.mp4 Source: https://sermonindex.net/speakers/dean-taylor/how-can-believers-finish-well-in-their-walks-with-the-lord/ ========================================================================
