One of the hindrances to receiving everything Jesus has for us is a
works-based mentality in our mind, okay? It's this idea that if I do A,
B, and C, then God's going to do this for me. Right? So, look, the way
the Holy Spirit is described and his gifts, they're called gifts of the
Spirit. It's called the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Gifts, by definition, are given out of the goodness of someone's heart
to someone else, right? Because that person loves you. He cares about
you. Now, as soon as you try to earn that gift, it becomes what? A wage.

And it's due you, not a gift any longer.
