God has been speaking so strongly to us since the beginning of this couple's retreat. And I'm very sure that all of us desire to be the Lord. Last night, God began to speak to us on the issue of maximizing our marriage. And it became so clear that when the marriage is not maximized, we will become wasters. Not just that we're going to become wasters, but we're going to become liable to God. We're going to give accounts of our marriage. This morning, God came again to us to tell us that maximizing our marriage is impossible without oneness. That whatever we want to do, whatever is the intention of God for our home cannot come to bear except there is oneness. And this morning we're going to be praying on these issues. We're going to be crying out to God that God should come and help us. For us to be able to pray, I just want us to look at the book of Georges chapter 1. We want to draw prayer issues from this couple that were one, and then they also maximized their marriage. Georges chapter 1, very quickly we'll look at it from verse 9 to 15. And then Georges chapter 3, verse 7 to 11. Just for us to draw prayer issues so that we will not become guilty after all these investments that God has put upon our lives. May the Lord help us in the name of Jesus. I'll read from verse 9. Now the name of Hebron was formerly Kijet Abba. And they killed Sheshai, Hahiman, and Tamai. From there they went against the inhabitants of Debye. The name of Debye was formerly Kijet Sefer. Then Caleb said, whoever attacks Kijet Sefer and takes it, to him I will give my daughter Aksa as wife. And Otne, the son of Kenaz, Caleb's younger brother, took it. So he gave him his daughter Aksa as wife. Now it happened, when she came to him, that she urged him to ask her father for refuge. And she dismounted from her donkey. And Caleb said to her, what do you wish? So she said to him, give me a blessing. Since you have given me a land in the south, give me also springs of water. And Caleb gave her the upper springs and the lower springs. Chapter 3, verse 7 to 11. So the children of Israel did evil in the sight of the Lord. They forgot the Lord their God and served Baals and Asherahs. Therefore the anger of the Lord was hot against Israel. And he sold them into the hand of Kushan Richatim, king of Mesopotamia. And the children of Israel served Kushan Richatim eight years. When the children of Israel cried out to the Lord, the Lord raised up a deliverer for the children of Israel. Who delivered them? Otner, the son of Kenaz, Caleb's younger brother. The spirit of the Lord came upon him and he judged Israel. He went out to war and the Lord delivered Kushan Richatim, king of Mesopotamia, into his hand. And his hand prevailed over Kushan Richatim. So the land had rest for 40 years. Then Otner, the son of Kenaz, died. This morning we're going to be praying from these lives. The first issue that came to me is that what a number of children of Israel could not achieve. What many people went out to do and they couldn't conquer. The land that the tribe of Judah went to conquer, they went to war. But they couldn't achieve what they were looking for. They couldn't conquer the whole place because the Bible said they also went to Deby. When they got there, I don't know, they had a level of victory. But the victory wasn't so complete. Then Caleb, who knew that the land must be conquered for Judah, gave a call and said, Who is going to attack Kijat Sefer and take it to him? Such a person I will give Aksa, my wife. The first issue of prayer this morning is that I want to plead with you, our brothers, that God will steer your hearts to see that there are so many inheritances that our God has. So many things that God is waiting for us to conquer. But accept your rights. Accept your rights to the call of the Father who is seeking a husband who is a warrior. A husband who is a visionary. A husband who is able to take lands, to marry his daughter, who they will partner together in oneness in order to maximize their marriage in bringing the inheritance of God's people to them. As God finds such a man, God's people will continue to lavish, they will continue to suffer and they will not be able to enter their inheritance. We are going to be praying this morning that God will steer up our brothers. There is a call from the heart of our Father. Caleb gave a call. Utnia answered the call. I see beyond Caleb this morning. I see the Father God giving a heart cry and saying, I'm looking for sons who are going to marry my daughters or who have married my daughters and are going to possess the inheritance of my people for them. The church, the world, they are waiting for us. As if God finds an Utnia, they will continue to wait. That's our first prayer point. Now, Aksa was the person that Caleb was going to give to Utnia who came out to say, I will go and take Kijet Sefa. Utnia, the son of Kinas, Caleb's younger brother, he took the land. And we're going to also be praying that both for us, brothers, husbands, and we, sisters and wives, we're going to plead with God that God will succeed with us in discipleship so that we will be able to become equipped for what God has ahead of us. Maximizing our marriage, oneness in marriage is possible when we follow Jesus in discipleship. Utnia was able to do what he did because he had followed Caleb in discipleship. Aksa was a prized daughter because she was an obedient daughter who followed also in discipleship. And so we're going to be praying that God equip me, prepare me, don't let my discipleship be faulty so that I will be able to marry in oneness and we'll be able to also possess that which God will want us to possess. And thereon, Utnia answered, and he went and took this land. There are lands waiting for you and I. There are lives waiting for you and I. And God is saying, who will go and take this land? Who will go and take these nations? Who is going to solve the problem of the people? The whole world is languishing. God is waiting for you and I. And I'm praying that you will respond to God again this morning, that he will find you as a vessel that he can use as a couple as the marriage, which is the greatest burden in my own heart. Utnia was a great man before he got married. Aksa was a good woman before they got married. But as they married, I saw that they maximized their relationship. I saw how Aksa told her husband. She said to her husband, the Bible said in verse 14, she urged him to ask her father for refuge. She urged her husband. Wives, how are you urging your husband? Are you urging your husband to go into debt in order to satisfy your lust? Are you urging your husband to go into competition in order to make a statement of his status? What are you urging your husband to do? Aksa urged her husband. He said, go and ask my father for refuge. God is waiting for women who will urge their husbands, who will press their husbands, who will push their husbands on their knees and push them to the father. They will push their husbands to the heavenly father. They will cause their husbands to see God more than they have ever seen God. Such women is what God wants to make out of us. Aksa pushed Utnia, urged him, go to my father, ask for refuge. And they went. And they went together. I'm praying that God will make us wives whose counsel to our husbands will draw them closer to God. God will make us wives whose counsel to our husbands will bring them into the fulfillment of God's purpose for their lives. We saw last night that when a woman is a terrible counselor, she's going to bring trouble to her husband. And they went. Utnia agreed. They went and they got to the father. Now it happened when they came to him, she urged and asked her father for refuge. And another thing she did. The Bible says she dismounted from her donkey. I don't know the donkey you rode into these Christian couples' retreats. But it is high time you come down from your donkey. No woman sits on her donkey and is able to get anything from God. No woman sits on her donkey and is able to help her husband to maximize God's purpose for their lives. No woman sits on her donkey and is able to remain warm with her husband. When Rebecca was brought to Isaac, as she sighted Isaac her head, the Bible says she dismounted from her donkey. She covered her face with a veil. God is looking for women who are humble, lonely, who do not struggle, who when God sees the meekness and the humility of their hearts, God will have no option than to answer their prayer. We are going to be praying about that. We are going to be seeking God's face to say, Lord, make me humble. Whatever your donkey is, your donkey of your degree, your donkey of your experience, your donkey of financial provision for the family, may you descend from it in the name of Jesus. And so, when they got there, she came down. And because she was so humble, she had not said anything when Caleb said, What do you ask? What do you want? For our marriage to be maximized? For us to enter into the oneness that God is demanding of us? We must become women who can move the heart of God. Women that before we talk, God's heart is moved. Such was also Mary of Bethany. When Martha got to Jesus, exactly the same word that Martha said was what Mary said. But by the time Mary finished speaking, Jesus' heart was moved to tears. I'm praying that God will make us such women. Women that before we even talk, with our humility and loneliness of heart, with our passion for God's purpose, when we bow before the throne of grace, God's heart will be moved. The father asked and she said, Give me a blessing. She was not asking for this blessing for herself. She was asking for the blessing for her husband and for the purpose of God in their home. She said, Give me a blessing. Since you have given me the land in the south, give me also springs of water. This woman knew, Asa knew, that there was no way there would be freshness in God's purpose for their life, except there are springs of water. There's freshness, constant freshness. Obviously the father had given her something. I don't know what God has given you and I. I don't know the level to which God has helped you in your home, but I see a need to cry, that God, give me more. This woman said, Give me also springs of water. You are giving me land, I want springs of water. And Caleb gave her. Caleb gave her the upper springs and the lower springs. She only said, Give me springs of water. In the heart of the father, the father said, Yes. You are a daughter that has a lion heart like your father. My kind of life is the kind of life that you carry. God is looking for women who has the kind of heart that the father has. Who is able to see God's purpose for putting them into their homes and they are going to pay the price for collecting from heaven, not from men. Collecting from heaven, everything needed for that purpose to be achieved. We're going to stand up this morning and we're going to be praying. I need to tell you, we have read it because we are not teaching, we want to pray. In chapter 3, verse 7 to 11, what Aksa did brought her husband to the place of leadership. When Israel was languishing and they were crying out to God for help, God saw a help in Otni. Otni became an answer because he and his wife, they maximized their home in order to fulfill God's purpose. They did not stop at having lands and springs. They came up to the point where Otni became a ruler, became a judge in Israel for 40 years. The man lived a fulfilled life. The Bible said that after he had judged Israel for 40 years, he died. He didn't die without achieving God's purpose for his life. He couldn't have entered into this God's purpose without maximizing his marriage with Aksa. Be on your feet and let us pray. I must touch your throne. I must receive your help. I must touch your heart. I must touch reality. You will answer my prayer today. I must touch your throne. I must touch your throne. I must receive your help. I must touch your heart. I must touch reality. You will answer my prayer today. Will you stretch your heart to the Lord? I must touch your heart, Lord. I don't want to deal with modern things again. I must touch reality. Will you cry out to God? Lord, let me hear your Father's heart cry. God gathering us in this Christian couple's retreat is to pour out his heart. Cry to God and say, Lord, I want to hear you. I've been taught. We've gone through seminars. Messages have come. Bible studies have come. But, Lord, I want to hear you. Oh, God, I want to hear you. Lord, blow my ears open. Circumcise my heart, Lord. I want to hear you, Lord. I just don't want to hear men. I want to hear you. When Otney cried and Kenneth cried out, who will go and take it and suffer? Otney heard God. Oh, God, let me hear you. Brothers, pray that you will hear God. Sisters, pray that you will hear the Lord. Oh, Lord, let me hear you. Lord, I want to hear you. Lord, I want to hear you. Pray that you will hear the Lord. All that God has said to you, may it come to you again. The Psalmist says, once has God spoken. Twice it has come to the hearing of me. Please pray every teaching that God has given us on maximizing our home, on oneness in the family. Lord, say it to my heart again. I want to hear you. Lord, let me hear you. Hear it. Hear it to my heart. Hear it to my spirits. Oh, when I hear you, my struggles will come to an end. When I hear you, Lord, my opinions will be prompt. Lord, let me hear you. Help me to hear you, Lord. In the name of Jesus. Can you begin to pray and say, Lord, every equipping that I need in order to maximize my hope, in order to be at in oneness with my spouse, Lord, give me, bring me to it. Discipleship is the means of producing this in the life of any man or woman. Pray that God will maximize your discipleship for you so that you can maximize your home, you can come into this oneness. Pray, some of us are not yet in definite discipleship, pray that God will bring you into discipleship where you will learn the life of Jesus in order to maximize your marriage. Lord, I beg of you, every exposure I need, every exposure I need in discipleship in order for me to maximize my home, in order for me to be in oneness with my husband, Lord, bring me to it. Lord, bring me to it. Oh God, give me every experience that I need, every exposure that I need in discipleship that will equip me for this that you are calling me to. Lord, help me, bring me to it, Lord, in the name of Jesus. Wives, can you begin to pray for your husband, that God will make outliers out of them, men who hear God and obey God. Husbands, can you pray for your wives, that God will make exiles out of them, women who can connect their husbands to the Father in heaven, women whose needs are not weak. Pray for your wife, pray for your husband. Oh God, I beg of you, that you will have a husband, give him the heart that hears the Father clearly. Oh Lord, in the name of Jesus. Oh Father, please help us, in the name of Jesus. In Jesus' name we are prayed. Can we beg God, Lord, my wife and I, my husband and I, we will go nowhere else but to the Father. Our help is with the Father. As the woman is pushing on her knees in the place of prayer, the husband also will go to the Father. Will you please pray, that is where our marriage can receive strength to be maximized, that is where oneness flows from. Pray that we both approach the throne of grace together, to receive help from the Lord, to receive the springs, the hopper and the lower springs, where freshness always comes from. Lord, please support me. Lord, make the throne of grace accessible to me, Lord. To my wife and myself and my husband. Lord, let it be our place where we turn to, let it be a place where we resort to, in the name of Jesus. Oh Father, please help me, let the throne of grace be my resort, let the throne of grace be our resort, oh God. Let it be our dwelling place, let it be our pursuit, where we receive grace for maximization of our family, where we receive grace for maximization of our marriage. Oh God, help me, Lord, in the name of Jesus. Can you begin to pray, that Lord, sisters, wives, we see how crucial we are in this matter. Can you cry and say, Lord, bring me down from my camel. I don't know your camel, where you are sitting upon. Lord, bring me down from my camel. Deliver me from what has taken me up, when I ought to be down. Whatever it is, Lord, Lord, bring me down from this camel. This camel will not make the Father to hear me, when I sit upon it. Oh God, please help me. Help me, Lord, let my parts be the part of the lowly, make me meek. Oh God, let my ornaments be the meek and quiet spirits, which is so precious in your sight. I desire meekness, Lord. I desire quietness, Lord. Help me, Father.
