Genesis 1 When God created man in Genesis 1, what did God say that man should be? God said, verse 26, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness. Let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the fowl of the air, over the cattle, over all the earth. Over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. So God created man in His own image. In the image of God created in Him, male and female created in them. We've spoken about that both in our Bible study and in our messages. So I don't want to spend time on that. That's not what is bubbling in my heart on that passage tonight. There's something else. God blessed them. I want you to hear that. What did God do? God blessed them. God blessed them. I want you to note the word. God did what? Blessed them. For some of us, we used to think that when they said, you are blessed, it is because they gave you some things. It is because they gave you some touchable, countable, discreet things that you say, Ah, I'm blessed, I'm blessed, I'm blessed, I'm blessed. But I want to help you to see tonight that when God brings a man into marriage and as they normally do, they bless them. What does that mean? When the Bible says, and God blessed them, what it quickly meant to me is that God released to them an intrinsic capacity. God placed inside them a capacity for them to be able to produce everything that God is asking them to do in life. Which means God had transferred something as a deposit, as a potentia, for them to be able to accomplish all the assignment he gave them. You will follow me quickly. Are you following me? Because there's no time for me tonight and the issues I'm sensing is too big in my heart. And I'm just praying that the Holy Spirit will give that simplicity that we can catch and get across. Praise the Lord. He blessed them. He said, be fruitful, multiply, replenish the earth, subdue it, and have dominion over the fish of the sea and all that God has said. As if God is saying, I have given you capacity to do all these 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 things. He blessed them. Please put that somewhere in your mind. Let me help you to follow me a little more so that it can be simpler. Go to Genesis chapter 22 very quickly. Genesis 22 verse 16. And he said, God said, by myself have I sworn, says the Lord, for because thou hast done this thing and hast not withheld thy son, thy only son, that in blessing, I'll do what? I will bless you. And in multiplying, I will multiply your seed as the stars of the heaven and as the sand which is upon the seashore, and your seed shall do what? Shall possess the gates of his enemy. Permit me to tell you something. Read that passage one more time. Just read that passage one more time. That in blessing, I will do what? I will bless you. In multiplying, I will multiply your seed as the stars of the heaven and as the sand which is upon the seashore, and your seed shall possess the gates of his enemies. And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed because you have obeyed my voice. Let me ask you a question. Did God give him a house? Talk to me. God gave him a house? When God said, in blessing, I'll bless you. He gave him a house? He multiplied his cattle? Is that what he did? No. Did you notice that when God said to Abraham, in multiplying, I will multiply you. In blessing, I will bless you. You know that he still went home. How did he go home? How did he go home? He went home empty handed. Anybody that saw him just say Abraham. But that man, something has happened to him. Something has changed about him. Something has been deposited into his life. Something that has capacity to overrun the whole earth has been placed into his life. God has said, and your seed shall possess the gates of those who hate them. But as they were going home, they still returned to their tent where they were living. The servants that followed Abraham to that mountain, did they see any difference? But what has heaven done to Abraham from that point? What has God done? What is heaven saying? This man, this man as you see him now, is a man that is carrying something that will affect the whole world. And the seed that God said he has placed, that seed, Isaac, was coming. When we get to chapter 24. When they wanted to release Rebekah. All of you, are you there with me? When they wanted to pick Rebekah as a wife for Isaac. You know the long journey that Eliezer took. But now I want you to go to chapter 24 and verse 57. And they said, we will call the damsel and inquire at her mouth. And they called Rebekah and said to her, will thou go with this man? What did she say? Eh? When she said, I will go. This is the beginning of my discussion tonight. When she said, I will go. Something happened. And they sent away Rebekah their sister and her nurse and Abraham's servant and his men. And what did they do in verse 60, all of you? And they blessed Rebekah. And said to her, you are our sister. Be thou the mother of thousands of millions. What were they putting inside Rebekah now? Eh? They were dropping a deposit, a potential. But still, we have not finished. And let your seed. Do what? Possess the gate of those which hate them. Now, what do you see about 24, 60 and 22, 17 and 18? What did you see? Eh? Oh my God. That's the first challenge that is coming to me today. The things that God swore to Abraham about his seed, what his seed was meant to be. Years after when Rebekah was going to now be added to that man's life. What did they say? They opened their mouth. Unknown to them. They were saying exactly what heaven has ordained for Isaac. They were placing it in whose womb now? Eh? My brother. My sister. What heaven had conceived for your husband to become in his lifetime? That God said it is not good for him to be alone because he will not achieve it. Look at the long journey they took to go and get a Rebekah. And they loaded her with that thing. And they are saying, our sister, but the seed that will come out of your womb. You will be the mother of the thousands of millions. And your seed will possess the gate of his enemy. The question I want all of you to check with me tonight is. What God wanted your husband to be. What God committed himself to make of your husband. That has been hanging on his life. And God looked and said, who will help this man to arrive at that height? And he brought a woman. What God has joined together in your marriage is not about your hand. There is something of a destiny that heaven is expecting. And you are the one whose seed will make it possible. The question I'm praying for tonight is. Am I getting the maximum that heaven is expecting of my life? When he went all the way to find a wife for me. How does God look at me? Not making the most of the woman that he brought into my life. I want to say to you that the woman by your side could do far beyond all that you have allowed her to do. I wanted to know my dear sister. That this man that is sitting by your side. If only you know the maximum height that God could push him through your instrumentality. He will have known that you have been joking and wasting him. If only you can see what it is that God has packaged for you in your marriage. You will have put aside lesser things. You will have put aside mundane things. You will have begun to ask God. God what did you want to accomplish by adding this woman to my life? Maximizing your marriage to fulfill God's purpose. And as I'm talking to you tonight. The challenge does not come to you alone. It has come to me seriously. I have been crying to God that after this couple's retreat. I must get beyond where I am. This marriage must profit God. God should not come down and say with all I have endowed you with. Is this all you can get out? Is this all you can bring forth? With all that I have packaged in your wife. Is that all you will do? And you are growing grey. And because of this tonight I was saying Lord. Several decades of years of marriage. Thank God. I celebrated it. I celebrated it. Not knowing that I have only celebrated the barest minimum. And my prayer has turned. I say God. The next few years that you will grant my marriage. It must bring forth into something. Heaven must benefit because. If God decided to favor me the way he did. Then heaven must not suffer loss. My dear sister. If it was to cook for him. Honestly speaking I want you to quickly check. Was he not eating before you met him? Did you answer my question? Eh? Why are you not answering me again? Was he eating before you met him? So is that? Is that? Oh my God. Is that why? God will go all the way. To go and put your life there. Say my husband I'm cooking for him. I will tell you. Anybody can cook. Houseguest can cook. Remove that from your agenda. And we can actually cook for each other. If that was the matter. I'm not saying you will not be cooking or be cooking. But may it enter your head. That there is something higher. That heaven needs. You know why my heart is bubbling? When Satan came into the life of Adam and Eve. And everything loose scattered. I was thinking that. With what has happened. The woman's relevance in the life of Adam. Will be finished. Only for God. To open his mouth and say it. And the seed of this woman. We do what? We bruise the head of serpent. And I say God so what does that mean? I thought God would have said. And you man you will conquer the serpent. And suddenly I'm discovering that. Just as the devil thought. That this man will not get anywhere. If I can get something to do with his wife. And the devil knew. That you don't need to chase a man. Once you can catch his wife. You have got him. Did you see that as soon as Satan finished. And Eve got confused. What did the Bible say about the serpent? What did the Bible say about the serpent? He went away. He went away. I don't know where he went. He must have gone to sit somewhere. Watching. How the matter will be done. You know that the serpent did not tell Eve. To give her husband. But he already knew. That having got the woman. The man is a walk over. But when God came back. And he said. The seed of this woman. Will bruise the head of the serpent. I'm standing and I say God. Why not the man? So can I ask you. Who is going to help the man. To finish with the serpent. You are not talking to me. That woman. And as I was reading. From Genesis 3, Genesis 4. I found that. All the children. That they gave back to after King. Who became what he became. It was the woman. That did what? That was crying. As if the Lord has given me another seed. And suddenly I'm beginning to discover that. When it was time for Jesus Christ to be born. When the savior of mankind is going to be born. It was very interesting to me. That God. Was going to send an angel. To the man. Is it to the man? Whom did they send angel to? Is that woman. Suddenly I'm sensing that every woman. That God has brought into the life of a man. Is the vessel. That will crush the serpent. On the feet for the man. The seed that will release you to your greatness. It is in that woman. That it will break forth. Every prayer you are going to pray that will be answered. Has something to do. With what your wife stands up to do for you and with you. So when God said. I will make for him a help. It becomes something beyond. I just made somebody will be with him. And that's why I'm praying that all husbands here tonight. You will go on your knees. You say God. The help that will make me get to my height. The help that will make me fulfill. Where you want to carry my life. You may be having a great prophecy on your neck. Thank God. For it is angry. In the ceiling. Who we got used to bring it down. This woman. Sister. What God sent you here to do. In the life of this man that you are married. It's not to chop him. God did not say. It is not good for this man to be alone. I will make for him a consumer. Sister, please. I'm talking to you. You will eat in your husband's house. But you are not here to eat him. There's something more crucial. That this man cannot become. Unless. You come. There's a height he cannot reach. Unless. You crush the serpent under your foot for him. There's a divine expectation that your husband ought to get to. That God is deliberately saying. He can't do it alone. I must make a head for him. As I was looking at. These various issues that is jumping up and down in my heart tonight. I was on say said Lord. Why is it that the devil did not allow man. Mailman. To understand. As to quickly nourish. And cherish his wife so that she can produce what she was brought here to do. Why is a man. Only waking up quarreling with his wife. Would he not be the devil. That does not want you to reach the maximum. That is only say even if you can just get this basic minimum that's all right. As I was watching throughout scripture. I was noting that. Look at the great promise. That God made. Over. Over Judah. If you go and read your Bible and you find the kind of promise of God over Judah. Who is supposed to be the progenitor of the Savior. If you read your Bible very well. You will notice that the attack that came on Judah's life. All the children that Judah had. Something happened and they died. They said they were wicked. And there was this woman. That God posted into that family. The first boy died. They wanted to give her to the second daughter also died. Because they did not want to. They did not want to have the seed by her womb. And Judah abandoned her and kept her somewhere as an abandoned woman. But if you read your Bible very well. By whom. Could we remember anything of Judah today by whom. By that lady. Sometime a woman that God has a destiny for. In bringing the maximum in the life of his men. Sometime the devil quickly. Quickly try to attack such women so that they don't become what they ought to be. Another woman that was coming so heavily on my heart. Was Rahab. Do you remember Rahab? What is her nickname? The hallowed. That's a woman. That has something to do. In bringing about. The purpose of God in the family of Judah. In the family that we produce the king of kings the Lord Jesus. But early in life. What did the devil was planning to do for her. To make her a useless woman a hallowed. But when the message of redemption came to her. Through the two spies. Even though she was located in Jericho doing useless work. What she had of the God of Israel. She said that's where I belong. And that's how she was delivered. And brought into the land of Israel. She has repented she was no more a hallowed. And I was touched. That that was the woman. That God found. I hope you know that Rahab. Rahab. Was the mother. Was the woman that married Samo. Samo the father of Boaz. Boaz that we are talking about. Go and trace. The womb that was going to produce that great man. Was this woman that was battered before. And I was touched. That for this matter that God needed to bring about. He took another Ruth. A Moabites. But who said your God shall be my God. You remember. Somehow my heart is saying. If God gives you a woman. He gives you a woman that he has preserved. A woman that he has trained. A woman that he has circumcised. There must be something there. There must be something that heaven wants to produce. There must be something that God wants to bring out. And it must not be wasted. Praise the Lord. Praise the Lord. You know even though we are spoken so much. About David the man after God's heart. And we saw. The problems he had with Bathsheba. Don't ask me. Who sinned. Whether Bathsheba or David. I think the two of them. But. All through the narrative. Every time God came heavy. You are the man. You are the man. This woman lost her husband. She did not even have opportunity to mourn. Before they moved her. When the baby that she delivered died. God said I will remember her. And I was surprised that of all the children. That David had with so many women. God had no interest. It's only this woman. It is her seed. That will perpetuate the purpose of God. And as you are checking the lineage. I was saying God what is it. About women. When you relocate them in your will. And you give them to a man. What do you want to get out of that man's life. So when. When Isaac. I mean when brother Abraham was about to die. By faith. Abraham blessed Isaac. As if he was transferring something into Isaac. Isaac. This thing that I carry that God said. Will shake the whole world. Come and carry it. But he needed a wife. The only thing I could deal with tonight. So that I can stop. Was what do I do. To maximize my marriage. That's the first thing I want to talk about tonight. And I stop. Which means even though he fell. The role she was meant to play. Is irreplaceable. And that even though Satan thought he had done something. God said. It is the seed of this woman that will do it. Brothers. What will you do to make the most of your marriage. There's something your marriage ought to produce. I have listened and I thank God for all that our brothers and sisters have been sharing. And I thank God for that. I praise God. But there's something beyond. When Rebecca came into the life of Isaac. That's the woman that was carrying his blessing. Am I right? She was barren for how many years? For 20 years. 20 years she was barren. She had no child. What did Isaac have to do? What did Isaac have to do? The Bible says Isaac entreated the Lord. For his wife. For she was barren. And the Lord was entreated of him. And God answered his prayer. And the wife conceived. I am not just talking about my wife became pregnant. That's not what I'm talking about though. I'm talking about what she conceived. So when she conceived and the baby was troubling her. She went to God. God. Why am I like this? Did you hear what God said to her? Can you remember what God said to her? What did God say? Two nations. Two nations. Not two babies. Two nations are in your womb. And God began to give meticulous insight into many years to come. Not to Isaac. But to this woman. And can I ask you? If not for Rebekah. Who do you think Isaac was planning to bless? You are not talking to me again. What did God say about Esau? He said Esau I hated. And yet Isaac. With his eyes that are dim. With his appetite that has gone for bushmeat. He was gearing himself up. To bless a man who had already sold his birthright. And whose birthright meant nothing to him. May God give you a wife that will deliver you. In the day of your confusion. May God help me with a wife. That will be bent on getting me to my height. My highest destiny. When I looked at the story of that woman, Rebekah. Thank God that we talked about oneness here. And I want all of you please practice everything we have said. But I want to talk to women here now. Are you hearing me? The gravity of God's communication. And purpose for your life in bringing you to that man. Far far supersedes your enjoyment. Stop looking for enjoyment. Face your business. Do you know that Isaac. When he started eating bushmeat, bush rats. From a boy that never stayed at home. A boy that married two wives. Who came to vex Rebekah in the house. Baba is still eating bushmeat from him. Was that not enough? For Rebekah to withdraw. I say if he knows how to manage his life, let him be managing it. If it is bush rat he wants to be eating from a boy, let him be eating it. Let me not cook for him again. Since I know he is already eating from the roasted pot of Esau. What would have happened to the destiny of Isaac? I want you to talk to me. You are not answering me again. If she had reacted. That is why I want to beg sisters here. Stop focusing on peripheral issues. As if that is what you came into your husband's life to do. If I can share with you. Stop getting annoyed. Over little little issues as if you came here to quarrel. God brought you into this man's life for a very serious matter. May God help you to fulfill it in the name of Jesus Christ. You may not know. That children seem to have come in between Rebekah and her husband. How could Rebekah? Isaac knew that he was going to die. He said the day of my death is nearer. And I need to bless you before I die. You need to go and bring me savoury meat. The kind you used to bring from the bush. And he did not tell the wife. The wife only overheard. She eavesdropped to hear it. If it were these Igalode wives. What would they have done? It's okay. It's okay. If it is bush meat you want to be eating. Be eating it. Whatever blessing is in your mouth. God told me what Jacob is going to be. I'm going to bless Jacob. She knew that that's not what to do. She knew that it was not in her mouth to do so. But it is in her power. To bring her husband to the place of doing the right thing. Once she heard. And Isaac went out to go and look for bush meat. She quickly called Jacob. Jacob, this is what I heard your father saying to your brother. Do as I will tell you now. Jacob said, mom. Will my father not put a curse on me if he discovers this thing? What did Rebecca say to that boy? He said, let your curse be on me. I'm ready to be accursed. So that you can enter that destiny. Where are the wives? I say for my husband to enter where heaven ordained him to be. No matter how much I suffer. Even if I were accursed. Let it be so. This is the reason why I'm here. Can you imagine that when she had done it. And the right thing had been done. The prayer had been prayed. The blessing had been put. And Isaac came back furiously saying, I will kill my brother. Rebecca walked up to her husband and said, my husband. You know these two girls that this boy married that is troubling all of us. It would be terrible if this, our Jacob also married from there. Can you send them to. Whatever you feel like saying. She has helped the man. To get to the height. That he ought to get to before he died. But can I ask you? What did Isaac do first? What did he do? When the woman was yet to release. He entreated the Lord. I don't know what you are saying about your wife, dear brother. I don't know how you are looking at your wife. My wife does not know how to do something. My wife is this. My wife is spiritually barren. My wife is died. My wife is that. Let me tell you. That woman is the woman. No matter what she appears to be today. She is the woman. That carries within her bosom. What will take you to the height. If you know how to do anything tonight. On your knees. And release her. Sister. God has brought you into this man's life. So that what heaven wants him to become. He can get there. I don't want to say something that will make you feel you are proud. But I was going to have said. Without you. In his life. He cannot go far. Sister, have you withdrawn your strength? Are you doing your best for this man? Have you entered into your travail for this man? Have you discovered. That unless God. Will help you. This man will not go far. If your husband will get to the gate. Go on your knees. There are some husbands here that I see them doing. Just walking up and down like this. Confused. They are not settled anywhere. But God. Mercifully has posted a wife. A wife that can pray. There is hope for that man. There is hope for that husband. He will soon break out. And when he is out. Your glory will break forth. In the name of Jesus Christ. I can't go beyond here tonight. And what I am laboring and trusting the Holy Spirit to bring about. Is for heaven to show you. That God said. It is not good for that man to be alone. All other things we have talked about. They are valid. They are good. Please eat together. Share your money together. All of that. But they are the barest minimum. They are not the big issues. When you now have a clear picture. Of where God is going with you. I would like to pray for all the wives in this meeting tonight. To say God. Give them strength to conceive. As I look at the life of Abraham. I say hi. May God. May God. May God. May God preserve your wife to happy. Can you imagine? Sarah. One day after 10 years. That they have been in the land of promise. 10 years. 10 years of serving God. 10 years of building constant altar. 10 years of speaking to God. I just don't know what came over Sarah that day. She said it appears as if God. Has decided. That I'm not the one to bring that your seat. She did something that I don't know whether. If she's looking down now. She said. This is my house girl. Go and sleep with him. Go and sleep with her. You know in my head. Brother please permit. I think aloud sometimes. In my head I say. How can a man of God. Like Abraham. A friend of God. Who left houses. Who left land. Who left everything. Just like that. Just like that. The only picture that came to my mind is. What of Adam. Just like that. How Abraham. Went and began to talk to her. And madam said. I thought the man of God said. No over my dead body. Sister. Hear me very well. May God make you a good counselor to your husband. Because it's not likely to survive. If you bring the other cancer. It's not likely. To survive. If you start saying other things. He may follow you. And that is the truth. That is the truth. I always have prayed and prayed for. The walk with God. What I do here. I pray a lot. I pray for all my staff. I pray for their wives particularly. I know that great works. Cut us. Once the wives. My husband. When are we going to do our own? Are we going to be doing this all along? Great men of God. Down their back. When their wives offer them. Something else. The potential to make him great. Is here in your hand. And the capacity to bring him down. Is also here. And when. Abraham went in. And everything was finished. A beautiful marriage. Cut out. Quarrels. Until one day. Sarah could always say. You see now. I've done something terrible. I did something. I knew I did something. I did my wrong. My wrong has come upon my head now. That's why this gets. They came in for granted. I'm following her. And Abraham said. Is your own ass girl do anything you want? The Bible said. She. She. Dead with hearts. Terribly. That the girl ran. I saw the power of women. Husband. Husband. Am I. Are you hearing me? If your wife does not want a visitor near your house. Can you bring them in? Pastor. If your wife said. We are not having any hospitality here. Can you have any hospitality? You are not talking to me. There is something here. In the hand of that woman. That only God. Must help you to collect it. And collect it well. That's why tonight. I just wish we can pray together. And pray for one another. Sarah that was gentle. That was carrying everybody along. When she turned. Who is I got to stay for another day? The girl ran. With pregnancy in her stomach. When the angel met her. I said. Where are you going? I said from my mistress. I'm running from mama. I said go back. Go and submit. In humility to her. If you are going to have anything. Oh the girl came back. The angel said I must go. Mama I'm sorry. But when it was time. And God at this time Sarah. Because God told Abraham. It is your wife Sarah. That I plan to bless. I don't know any other. And Ishmael is not in my plan for your life. If you will allow me. I will have finished that Ishmael. But the man said let Ishmael live. Let Ishmael live. I wish he didn't do that. What God did for David. When that boy had to die. Could have happened. And maybe we will not have all these. Problems that has come upon us. But when God. Was visiting Sarah now. And she has recovered. She has repented. She has turned. She is willing now to stay. God gave her strength to conceive. When God spoke she believed God. She never doubted. That's why a man as good as dead. The Bible said he became. The father. Of thousands. Like the sand of the seashore. I don't know whether. The Holy Spirit is helping me to. Communicate something to your heart. This night. Is God speaking something. Deeply to your heart. I pray that God will help me. My prayer is that something will. Break forth from this meeting. As soon as Sarah said. Cast out. The born woman and her son. He shall not. Share the inheritance. With my son. Abraham quickly. Came I say God what I say. What she says what you should. Go and do it. This is the right thing now. Tonight. Sisters. Did you think that those things. You are saying. Your husband. Will not pull him down. You are going to pray now. Say God. My appetite must not come. Ahead of the great role. That you want me to play. In making this man. I am happy that yes. The enjoyment. And pleasure. We are moving together. All of that I'm happy about that. And I will speak more about that. God will help us with that. But those are bare minimum. There is something greater. Something has take. For which God brought you. Into that marriage. We are going to beg God tonight. Maximize it. Bring it further. Cause me to walk into it. Show me your glory out of it. In the name of Jesus Christ. It's okay for tonight. So when God said. It's not good. For that man to be alone. The capacity of what that man ought to be. That God is saying. I must make a habit for him. Is what we are praying. Lord help us to get to. But if you check. And you look the other side. You see that even those who are recklessly. Used by the devil. A woman was posted into their lives. That helped them to become as bad. All the havoc. That they have did. Did they not say. What did the Bible say about what they said about Ahab? They said. There's nobody. No king as wicked as Ahab. Who did so much evil in the sight of the Lord. Whose wife. Jezebel. Did what? Pushed. As they said. Whose wife. Motivated. She pushed him. The kind of thing that man did. If it was positive. It would have been wonderful. Jezebel. Just to make sure that Baal. Is worshipped in the land. Under her husband. In her house a loom. 400 prophets. Of Baal. Who are eating on her table every day. Then 400 prophets of the Lord. Were also being given daily allowance. So that when you want to hear the word of the Lord. They will just be coughing because they have just finished eating chicken. She was very deliberate and she had some daughters. She did not deliver children for nothing. All her children. She made sure that they were going to marry princes and kings. That we kick and push the kingdom of God. It distance. Surely Oh God. You will not invest. Into our lives. Precious women more than rubies. If there's no profit you want to get. So father first and foremost I pray this night. That you will enlarge our understanding. That we will not be wasters. Of heavenly investment. I pray father that ignorance. We not make us to make light. What you have put together. To bring about a divine purpose on the face of the earth. And this night Oh God I pray. That your spirit will we move in our midst. I pray that husbands we wake up in a very special deliberate manner now. I plead with you Oh God. That whatever you will need to do in their hearts. To release their wives.
