It highlights the importance of passing down the knowledge of God and His goodness to future generations to prevent spiritual decline and corruption. The message warns against complacency and compromise in following God's instructions, as it can lead to a gradual erosion of faith and obedience. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ CONTENT ------------------------------------------------------------------------ But Judges 2.10, all that generation that gathered to their fathers, there arose another generation who didn't know the Lord. They didn't know His words. They hadn't experienced His goodness themselves. They didn't feel deeply moved by how great He is. They didn't feel thankful for worshiping Him for the amazing things He had done. There's a generation that forgot God. But they didn't know they were forgetting God. By the fact they didn't annihilate the Canaanites and they didn't fully drive them out, right there you knew they forgot God. Where on earth do you get the idea that you're supposed to wipe out all of them? Don't you remember what others have done who didn't fully annihilate? That's what the Lord told them to kill? Don't you remember what happened to them? It's easier once the first group, well, they didn't drive them fully out, so you know what, I guess we don't really have to drive them fully out. It just trickles down. It corrupts the nation as a whole. ======================================================================== Video: https://sermonindex2.b-cdn.net/KJYo1QXB5FA.mp4 Source: https://sermonindex.net/speakers/james-jennings/the-hadnt-experienced-his-goodness-themselves/ ========================================================================
