It challenges individuals to commit to daily immersion in the Scriptures, acknowledging that true growth and fellowship with God come from consistent engagement with His Word. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ CONTENT ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Thank you. I'm going to read from verses you all know so you need not look them up. Of course you all can quote. I would be ashamed if you couldn't even a child in such a church. Whether Jesus said to Nicodemus in John 3, a staggering chapter in the light of the rest of the scriptures there is, here was this old man of integrity and transparency looking at God and God looking at him and he inquired in his limited understanding though his heart was trembling at what he couldn't understand about this God manifest in the flesh concerning the things of eternal value. And Christ said to him these staggering words in answer, except a man be born again. He cannot. There's no possibility literally. There's no possibility. What he is Nicodemus, religious like you, integrity like you. Except the man be born again he cannot see. No possibility. God said to the man he cannot see the kingdom of God. Of course Nicodemus would say what you and I would say. How can a man be born again? Can a man be go into his mother's womb a second time and staggering words Christ said for the first time to humanity. And Jesus went on a discourse that John takes and brings the full light of the cross and the love of God through Christ. What an amazing discourse. But in essence he comes down to explain that which is born of the flesh is flesh. And that which is born of the spirit, capital S is spirit. That which is born of the flesh, when you're born a child of your father and mother, you're not a child of God. No one is. All you are is a child of your father and mother. You must be born again. This time obviously not of physical birth. You're not God's child. All you are is your mother and to become a child of God. There has to be a spiritual birth that involves the intellect, the heart, the will, the submission, the embracing by faith and by grace and the light of the rest of the scriptures. Are you saved through faith? Of course in Jesus Christ. It is his death and in his blood. Now Peter went on. You find the apostles were great expositors of what Christ, the exposition that Peter went on in his first letter was very beautiful as he takes much of what Christ said and expounds. But he takes this new birth and he says in 1 Peter chapter, the whole context is this, chapter 1 verse 23, being born again. He speaks of being born again. Not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible by the word of God. Of course, by grace he's saved through faith through what? What God promises in his word about Jesus Christ. It's faith in God's promises, God's word. And we are born again by grace through faith, not only just saying in ignorance, but in knowledge of what God promises in God's holy writ. So we're born not of incorruptible, but of corruptible, but incorruptible by the word of God. And then he goes on in chapter 2 and he says in verse 2 is newborn babes. Here he's talking about not little physical birth. He's speaking to a 90 year old, a 20 year old, a 10 year old. But if you're 90 year old, you're a newborn baby. You've just come to Christ. That's all you are, baby in Christ. So he's speaking to those who have been born spiritually now. They've become a child of God, whatever age, and he said as newborn babes. It's the same as when you were born. Now there's something else. Desire, the sincere milk, not of your mother, is there an earnest, desperate cry coming from the heart. The sincere milk of the word. He calls the word milk to those who have been given new birth. His newborn babes desire the sincere milk of the word that you may grow thereby. Staggering words. 46 years ago, 46 years ago as a young person, I knelt before God and I gave my life to him. In a way, I've never been able to take it back. I don't know if there was ever in history, and this might sound presumptuous, but God knows my heart is utterly true. I don't know if there was ever in history anyone that was so desperate on his knees and fearful as I was. I shook, I trembled, and I wept, and I groaned. I don't know if anyone groaned such a groan. It was almost like my whole being was being ripped apart in fear as I knelt before God. You see, I knew something in that room that very few people did know. Some did to a degree. I knew two things as I was on my knees that made me tremble and groan in great fear before God. I knew beyond any doubt that if God didn't save me in truth, at that moment I would never ever be able to seek him again in my life. Now, that was fearful to me because I knew there was nothing in my being that could seek God more earnestly, more sincerely, more fully than I was. If God didn't save me now, he never will, and I was deeply conscious of that, and that flooded my heart with fear. I will never be able to do this again because there's nothing a human could do in his capacity as a human to obey God and seek him. As I was doing this, I was desperate. I also knew something else. I knew that if God didn't save me, I would die very, very young. I had no doubt of that, and there were others in the room that knew that also. I was so destroyed by sin, and I'm so ashamed of that. I hear people standing up for sensationalism sake and giving testimonies that they almost gloat at what they can tell to shock. I said, God, I'm too ashamed to think of these things, let alone talk about them, so I never name anything. I'm too ashamed, let alone to capitalize on them to impress people. My life was destroyed to such a degree that I had no doubt, and there were numbers of people in that room that knew, and had no doubt he would die, probably within days. I was in such a broken, tragic, destroyed state as a human through wickedness, and I'm so sorry to say I stooped at a young boy. When I stood up, I began to stagger. I actually quaked, because the first thing I thought was, surely, if I'm saved, I must feel different. Surely, I feel nothing, and I literally quaked in shock and fear. This old Scottish preacher who died, I didn't know him, had the last soul of many hundreds that he had brought to Christ in his life that he ever brought to the Lord, and he knew, he said, probably the last soul I'll ever bring to Jesus. And this old, godless, fearless man looked at me, and he shook me even more. He said, King, it doesn't matter that you don't feel any different. I said, how can it be possible? This man knew what I was thinking, and I walked backwards. I was in a terrible state of fear and confusion, though I prayed for my soul. These feelings mean nothing. For the rest of your life, from the day you're saved to the day you die, they come and go. You don't ever measure anything of the right relationship between you and God by feelings. They can be affected by anything of circumstances for the rest of your life, and from the moment you change, I'm telling you, don't worry about feelings. You might not feel a thing. It means nothing. Keith, I think I have a little discernment, my boy. After all the years I've served God, and I believe God has saved you. I cannot believe a holy God who died for all men, who takes the death for every man, who will that all men should be saved. You come to the knowledge of the truth, one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten. I cannot believe that that God who died for every man, in the word of the Lord, would turn away his face from such a prayer. I've never heard a prayer in my life, like yours. I've never, ever heard a man pray like this. He began to weep. I cannot believe a holy God turned his face away from you. I believe God has saved you in his integrity and holy obligation to his word and faith in the blood of his son that you came. But listen carefully now, my boy. It doesn't matter that you feel nothing. He did something astonishing. He took the old King James Bible. You know, the these and those. Everybody says they can't understand. Silly beliefs. And thank God he took this version. Oh, for my soul. Oh, I would have been in poverty of what God had in mind for the rest of my life. He walked up and he put this in my hand. He said, this is all that matters now. Nothing else. Please, soak yourself in the Bible. If you are saved, this book will become alive and throbbing from this moment to the day you die. Oh, you're not saved. Don't wait for feelings. Don't listen for little warm feelings on your back. This book bursts into life and is your source of survival and you know it. You're not saved. You can't be. Now, my boy, go home. It's late. Take a pen. Don't ever open this book when you're alone with Jesus without taking a pen. Expect God's voice. Expect God to speak or your openness and sacrilege and irreverence. It is not a book. It's God's living word. Now, Mark, where God speaks particularly to you as your savior, start right now. My boy, the devil can't touch you. If you soak yourself in the Bible, he can't touch you. If you make this the greatest discipline of your life, every day of your life, from this day to the day you die, that nothing Satan or man will ever do will make you neglect the time you need to spend in this book until God in your conscience tells you you can stand up now and stop. For now, you will be equipped by God to walk through the day in righteousness. Kid, if you never neglect this book, the devil can't touch you. It's the greatest discipline of your life. Satan's greatest priority in your life from this night till the day you die will not be to put filth and depravity and peer pressure on you. That won't work. He won't waste your time. Greatest priority Satan will ever have in your life from this night to the day you die will be to try and keep you from this book. And if he can do that, you'll be stunned what he can do, though you're saved, to disgrace God and defile you again. This is your source of survival. Don't neglect the Bible. Choke yourself in it. It's the greatest discipline in your life, the most nurtured, guarded, treasured moment of every day of your life till the day you die. And don't let there be one day that that isn't written across your whole being. This book was not neglected today, not yesterday, today. Now, Keith, you get the pen, you open and you open a job. And when you lead souls to Christ, and if you're truly saved, you will. You will attempt every step you take, every circumstance and moments God gives you. If you're truly saved, you will. And if you stay right at God, and you will, if you soak yourself in the Bible, you will be a sower. And, Keith, you will tell every soul you bring to Christ, you point to Christ and help and lead. And as I have tonight, you will tell them what I'm telling you the moment you're truly saved. John. Now, John, you will read through John. And only when you finish through John will you start in Matthew. And then you'll read Matthew, Mark, Luke, John as God wrote it, and as the Holy Spirit made men canonize it. God is in total control. Don't think he lost control with men putting this book together. You read Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, right through to Revelation. When you're through the New Testament, only first John, then Matthew to Revelation. Only when you're finished, then you start the Old Testament. But don't ever neglect the new for the old. You'll be back in the Lord. But don't neglect the old or you'll be in poverty in the long run because you won't understand 90 percent of the new. It's significance without knowing and soaking yourself in the... Everything is God's holy word, not just two-thirds of the Bible couldn't just be not important. So you soak yourself. But now, Keith, don't ever neglect the new for the old. You read three chapters a day. You threw the Bible once in one year from cover to cover. Three chapters, boy, in 24 hours. If you can't give God that, don't dare even say you're a Christian. You're playing the fool. If you can't find 15 minutes, that slow reading case for three chapters, there's one chapter of the Psalm 119 that'll take a bit longer, but the rest, three chapters, slow reading, 15 minutes. In one year, you threw the Bible or you didn't give God 15 minutes. No wonder they bring disgrace on God. Now, my boy, when you finish three chapters, Matthew chapter 1, 2, 3, put a mark for tomorrow. That's the morning. The night, go to Genesis 1, 2, and 3. Well, that's half an hour, Keith. That doesn't make you a martyr. That's 15 minutes in the morning, 15 minutes in the night. That means in one year, you threw the Bible twice or you didn't give God 15 minutes in the morning or the night. Shame on you. Phew, that's how he spoke. That's shame on you. Staggered me. Now, if you give God twice through the Bible, through 15 minutes in the morning, 15 in the night, Keith, you'll get through the new more faster than the old. But don't worry, just keep going. You'll be stunned how it's just all worked out perfectly by the divine sovereign God. But now, my boy, that means in 10 years, you threw 20 times. In five years, you'll be through 10 times, 15 minutes, morning. I know men who've read through this book over a thousand times, Keith. Every one of them sighs. Every one of them carry the presence of God as they walk into a room without exception. And the first thing I ask of them when I realize what caliber of man I'm standing with, how many times have you read through the Bible? Have you ever said that before? Tell me. 500 times, 700 times, 1,000 times, 1,500 times. Let that be your life, Keith, or you wasted your life with rubbish. Rubbish. We call it all sorts of things, but we had to do that legitimately. It was rubbish. If you wasted your life with rubbish and neglected this book, you were in poverty, though you were insane. I go home. Start now. Because what you don't start when God speaks to you, you never will. You start immediately or you're not going to. So I went home. It was late, past 11 o'clock, and I was emotionally tired. But I took the pen, opened up John, and I said, well, I never did understand the these and thou. But he said, read it. And if I'm saved, I will. So I had the pen, and I began to read in the beginning. And I thought, it's an unsaved time. I knew that's how the Bible began. In the beginning, God was saying this in the beginning was the Word, capital W. And the Word was with God. And the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him. And without him was not anything made that was made. In him was life. And the light was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness. And the darkness comprehended it not. There was a man sent from God whose name was John. The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the light, that all men through him might believe. He was not that light, but was sent to bear witness of that light. That was the true light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world. He was in the world. The world was made by him. And the world knew him not. He came unto his own, and his own received him not, but as many as received him. To them gave he the power to become the sons of God. Even to them that believe on his name, which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us. Chapter 1, verse 1. In the beginning was the Word. The Word was God. The Word was God. Now, verse 14, the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us. We beheld his glory. The glory is the only begotten of the Father, full of graciousness. God manifested in the flesh. Amazing. Today there's a mystery of godliness. God was manifesting in the flesh. He was God. No, I knew nothing but I was comparing scripture to scripture. My understanding already, my limit had not, but I read on. And suddenly I thought, I'm understanding this. It never gripped me before. I couldn't stop. I read on and on and on. Then I said, he said, Mark, we have verses alive. And I looked and I thought, I've marked every single verse. There's not one verse that didn't burst in my heart. He said, there's specific verses. We call it rhema, he said, rhema. That particularly God communicating, you know it's God speaking to you as a person in all your circumstances through life, knowing the context and throughout the entire Bible. God will communicate with you in his sovereign will. He'll know where you are and you'll need that discipline, that warning, that encouragement, that healing. This book is your life, your source of survival. I looked up. The sun was shining. Oh, I haven't slept. I've got to go to work. I've never done that before. I didn't feel tired. Now, funny enough, I was so awake. Don't do this too often. Well, I went to work, you know, driving with people picking, taking us there. Everything looked different. I've been this life. It was the most amazing. I looked at everything. I noticed the trees were so beautiful. How come I didn't know this before? Oh, look at these beautiful scars in the closet. And I noticed every soul I was driving past, I looked at them differently. And I said, God, they're not saved. Look at them. And my heart began to burden me. I found myself praying. Oh, God save. Look at that poor soul. Look at his face. He's broken in life. He's got nothing. The workplace, the tea bell rings. We have 15 minutes until they come. And I just said, no. I took the Bible. I read the back room. I didn't want to speak to people. Couldn't be. I had 15 minutes. Oh, lunchtime, an hour. They didn't come too fast. They just looked at me. So I ran. I have an hour with God's word. 46 years later, I don't remember one day in my life when this was my, was not my first choice when I had a choice of time that I suddenly had. I don't remember one day in 46 years that if I had a choice to suddenly say, I didn't hesitate. I just fled. I fled to Psalm 1 is there because that's the first Psalm God wants you to read. Because if you don't obey that, the rest of the Psalms will be pretty shallow and almost meaningless to many people. You have to be doers of the word, not here as only deceiving your own selves. This book can curse you. It cursed Voltaire, who went through it 24 times and went to hell. Don't think reading that you have to be saved and you have to obey as God gives you light verse by verse. I put the book down and said, well, I haven't got the right to read another verse further until I do this. Then when I've done it, when God's really confronted me, I come back and I dare to have the presumptuous right to read the next verse. Don't play the fool with God, because the sharp edge of the sword is lost immediately. It's affected, you lose it. You can in the end sit through full of sin under God's word and not affect it to move. Be careful that you do, be doers of the word, not here as only deceiving your own selves. Oh, the word. Psalm 1. Listen carefully to why God wrote Psalm 1. My daddy's psalm. Oh, he loved it. Blessed. I love that word in the English. They tell me in the new translations, which I don't want to touch because I feel contaminated. They say the word there means happy. We're going to go into dispute, but I like the word blessed. You see, I know many, many, evil sinners who are happy. Don't think they're all there weeping because they're in sin. This isn't true, but I do not know a sinner who knows this happiness. God's blessedness. There's something here about the word that involves far more than happiness. It's peace. It's fulfillment. It's joy. It involves so much in one word. Blessed. It's God's, what God gives, not what the world gives. My peace, give I unto you, not as the world give it I unto you. You see, there is peace the world can give. There are peace. Don't tell me there's not. Of course, in these silly religions where they sit at Central Park and Hyde Park and they look at a tree. And for hours, why you don't go to peace? It's a religion. It's, of course, you get peace sitting looking at a tree, but get up and five minutes later, you're in despair if anything goes wrong. It's not God's peace. My peace, give I unto you, not as the world give it. There is some form of peace, another thing attainable, but not my peace. God's peace is beyond comprehension. And only can you understand or begin to grasp the slightest if you've had experience and knowledge of it. Now, this joy, this peace, this fulfillment, God says, is the result of these steps outside of which you do not know the word blessed, even if you're saved. For this word to be written across your life, young man, young lady, elders, deacon, you've done this or no one on earth has ever seen God's handwriting across your life. This life is blessed by him. Blessed is the man that hears the gospel, comes out, says a sinner's prayer, has a testimony, goes to the prayer meeting, attends church. No, most of them you think they cursed if you were living in their home or working with them. No, that doesn't make you blessed in this world. Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly. He will never allow the ungodly to influence him again. Not God, but that's possible, trust me. Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners. He will never go where sinners go again for their fulfillment, for their happiness. Never, nor sit in the seat of the scornful. He will never associate with those that mock God's people, and they're mostly in their context, religious people in every church, in the youth meeting, those that look at those who go through with God and scorn them. This is too far. And they scorn, the scorn of the lights and the scorn in its context, scorning the godly. It's not speaking about wicked people, they're scorning others. It's right in the context. They scorn you for godliness. And they're in every church, I know. But you don't delight in these things that sinners delight in. But his delight is not in these things that wicked people do, even in religious circles. His delight is in the law of the Lord, and in his law does he meditate. I love that word, cancels out any possibility of hurry, because there's nothing to hurry to. If you're right with God, everything loses its drawing power, because there's nothing that can thrill you like this. How can you go and put that box on and neglect this, if this is more meaningful to you than that box? More exciting, more enthralling, more fulfilling. His delight is in the law. Tell me, is this written across your life? I'm not asking if you've got a testimony. Even the Jehovah Witnesses today, you can't believe they talk about being born again. They're going to hell. I'm asking you, is this your testimony? If you say, you say, or no one on earth will look at your life and say, this is bliss, this is bliss. On earth, sir, his delight is in the law of the Lord. In his law does he meditate day and night, not all day, not all night. You don't neglect the vitals. Actually, for the first time in your life, you won't neglect anything that's vital. That conscience gives you the ability to fulfill utter integrity from the time you need to spend with your wife, your children. Tell us, sir, you don't neglect the vitals, your workplace, you become so efficient, because you do before God. But everywhere, day and night, that you have a chance, a place, where you are not neglecting anything that's vital, for dignity's sake and conscience's sake, you rush to this, you rush to this. You actually can measure how right you are with God by this. You don't hesitate to think, you just go, because this gives you more delight in ending up. By the way, this word, his delight, it's a strange word, the Hebrew word here. It's not one of his delights, it's his singular delight. All other delights, and there are, lose significance or drawing power when this is what it should be. It's his all-consuming, singular delight in life, when he's right with God, when he's truly blessed by God, not religious, or attending an evangelical church. His delight is in the law of the Lord, in his law. Now those days, that was it. The law is not just the Ten Commandments, it's the five books of Moses. That's what they had, but now we have this and all this. The word of God, our delight is in the word of the Lord, in the word and God's word given to us, as it was given then, only known as the law. In his law does he meditate day and night, day and night. His God's side, he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water. I love that. That bringeth forth his fruit in his season, his leaf shall not wither, whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. That's not speaking about prosperity, getting rich. It has nothing to do with wealth or materialism. It's speaking about a spiritual on every level. Spiritually, it might not happen to everybody around you that comes on their knees when you come on your knees, but you will bring forth fruit that God and man expects for you to have any integrity in your testimony, to say, I belong to God and gave my life to him. God says this is his side, but there's not such a thing in the Bible as a promise without a condition, radical conditions. On every level you will, in its context, brother, you might not find it in the verse, but I'll show you if you look with an honest heart in its context, there's radical conditions on every promise before God has any holy obligation to fulfill his side. You do this, God promises, and he cannot lie. You will bring fruit. Oh, we have the Karoo like a desert in Africa. And years ago, before air conditioning in the car, we used to suffer. Oh, hours upon hours. And everything's dead. You just travel on and on. What tried to live is dead. I said, it's all dead. The man said, no, it isn't. It just needs a bit of rain, it'll survive. I said, come with me. Pow, pow, pow. You say, that's life. Dead, in there, millions. And you go hours after hours after hours, hundreds and hundreds of miles in desert. These things made an attempt to live. It was some sort of attempt, but they didn't survive. It was too severe. But suddenly, you're driving there, not hours passed with the visitation, but suddenly, you just see a long row of tall, beautiful trees stretching out of the sky. It doesn't take much common sense to know why. There's a river. He shall be, no matter what happens to the others. And it will happen. But why does God say this? Like a tree planted by the rivers of water, to the leaf, the fruit will be there. Everything that God and man expects and wants and waits for. I see fruit on the tree these many years, and I find none but tragic words. God said, and he was speaking about soul. Always. You can measure in one second whether you are right with God or you're a total grief to God. I dare you to do it. No other way. This is it. You see, in the old days, if something's wrong, the doctors would take the pulse. And within seconds, they know whether there's something radically wrong or there's something right. If everything's okay. You want to do that tonight? One way. If this book was soaked in today, soak yourself in the Bible. Meditate. Unhurried meditating of the Word of God is the only thing that matters once you say it daily. It is the vital that everything else flows from. If this book is your greatest love, your greatest thrill, your greatest desire, your greatest discipline, your most guarded, treasured, nurtured moment in life today, not yesterday, sir, you are right with God. If it isn't, you're a tragedy. I dare you to stand up and tell me what you want. A tragedy. I was in a meeting where a preacher, a very old man, shook everybody to the core in a very large auditorium. And he held out the book and he said, listen carefully to me. This is worthless. Don't waste your time with this, young man. It's a waste of time. This is worthless, meaningless. I won't lie anymore to you. I'm telling you what I know. This is a waste of time. I saw the man in front of me going red, you know, like a thermometer. He was upset. People were getting upset. Then he did something astonishing. He shouted, wait! And then he opened the Bible. But this, oh, this is very different. This will make you holy, young man. Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way by taking heed according to thy word. Thy word have I hid within my heart that I might not sin against thee. There's no other way. Sin will keep me from the Bible. The Bible will keep me from sin. Don't doubt that. This is different. This will make you walk with God. What have you, he said? This or this? Answer God. Oh, you have a Bible. You walk down the streets with it. You have it beside your bed. It's worthless. Beside your bed. It's worthless in your hand. It's worthless that you come to church with it. It can do nothing for you. But, he said, what do you have most of your day? Today, this, this young man. Answer God. Answer God. Worthless, meaningless, useless, a waste of time. It will make you walk with God as never before. I've been to America 28 times, of which I've spoken to many multitudes of people in many large auditoriums. And I thank God for that privilege. Thank God for that. Always in deeply conservative churches that want the truth. The liberals would crucify me if I preached these things in their pulpits. For I'm not invited there. They'll have the devil in their pulpits before me, willingly. Things are so bad. I remember going into a home in one of the towns where I was in one of the states. A lady, her name was Delight. It was the right name. She was delightful. She had been world famous in her sphere of what she excelled in in life. Before she was saved, she dropped it totally to become a mother to her, I think, 11 children. Americans have tribes. They don't have families. In the Bible belts. Anyway, don't worry about that. She had this tribe. Lovely. Oh, wonderful. Delightful children. And what a godly woman she is. Amazing. You're just in awe of such godliness and transparency. But I didn't realize that I would leave that place and not be there for quite a few years. There was a little son. One of her son's name was Packy. That was his nickname, I think. Packy. Anyway, he was just there. And he loved the Lord. They all loved the Lord. The mother loved that. And the daddy loved God, too. Yes. But one day, I was in a place called International Falls, close to Canada somewhere, on the border. And they told me, you're not going to be able to fly to the next state, which I always do, every fourth day. I'm only a few days in town. And then I'm next to the next state for 10 weeks every year, for many, many years now. But they said, look, it's no use flying, because it'll take longer for you to get to where the airport is to get you to some situation where you can fly to this next town or the next state. So someone's going to come up and fetch you, sit in the meeting, and take you back through the night. But it'll be far less time. You'll be able to gather strength before you have to flee. Well, who should it be but this delights porous son called Paki. He grew up. He was 17 by then. I mean, you can get a license at 17. The rest of the world would put you in jail if you drive at 17. But Americans are different in every aspect, trust me. Nonetheless, he was the driver. Now, he had grown up a bit. I thank you for coming and getting me. Oh, so we drove. We had a few hours to get in the car, but I asked a little while to set in. Oh, this boy, have you ever really seen somebody, the rivers of living water? That should be everybody's testimony. What a total grief if you die, you never had that in your life, one said of you. Rivers of living water, flowing. I was stunned, the knowledge of the boy, of the spiritual things, the Word of God. He was excited more about the Word of God than anything else we were discussing, and he was just flowing with joy. He clothed, and he was amazed. I just sat there. After a while, I said to the Lord, it was worth coming across the whole world to America just to sit in this car with this boy. It's like a flame. It just attracts it. It affects everybody. I was affected. I was lifted up into a realm of joy, just an excitement about everything, because he was excited and thrilled, and he had discernment. I was stunned. Well, at the meeting, I believe every preacher in the whole community, town, was in the meetings, and I'd met some the time before, so we was, I said, this boy, Paki Spora, drove me in the car. It's seldom that I sit with somebody that ignites such a fire, and everybody's afraid. I was ablaze, for God, I could hardly sleep. I was so thrilled. It just set me ablaze all over again. It's not a measure of just sitting with a boy. He was so afire for God. I don't remember him being like that. One preacher after the other, just standing. He's the godliest Christian in the whole community. There's no Christian in this community, no preacher, that is so affecting the kingdom of God, to the glory of God, of this young boy. It's like when he walks out of the door, the powers of hell tremble, because everybody is affected by his life, and his zeal, and his boldness, and his courage, and his knowledge of what matters. There's no Christian in the entire community, including the preachers of the town, that is being used more by God than that young boy, Paki Spora. So I said it to his mother, delight. I said, you know what they're saying, and what I sense? She put her head down in humility, and said, oh, that's the grace of God. But she said, Brother Daniel, can I share why he is what he is? When you were last here years ago, he was a little boy. He was a little boy, and he walked out of the building, and you had shared of what your preacher told you about the Bible, three chapters a day, one year through, half an hour, that's 15 minutes, twice a year through, and that's years ago. Paki walked out, this little boy, and he said, Mother, I'm going to do that. That's good, Paki. So months go by, and she goes up into the barn, where the boys sleep on the top, and all the rooms they've made there, and renovated, and there's Paki on his knees at the Bible. So, oh, Paki, you're on the same chapter Mother is, in the whole Bible. Isn't that remarkable? Paki, are you doing the same system as the local pastor told us to do, to get through the Bible, these chapters and these all over the place, you know, and then you get through once a year. Are you doing that system? No, Mother. No, I'm not doing what the local preacher said. Oh, I'm doing what that South African man years ago said. No, it wasn't years ago, but he did. Oh, are you trying to get through the Bible in a year? No, Mother. This is the third time I'm through this year, Mother. Oh, he was a little boy, too. A little boy. Three times through the Bible. Now, brother, that was halfway through the year when you had left. He was three times, going through the third time. He didn't neglect his chores. He didn't neglect fellowship. He didn't hibernate, but he got worried about him going overboard. He did everything, but he found time, because he looked for it, waited for it. When he found it, he did it, and he's been through the Bible, to my knowledge, more than anyone else in this community. He's only 17 now, but from that time, Paki's life staggered this community. Never before. He was saved before. Now, he staggers the powers of hell when he walks out the door, as they say, and I'm conscious of it, and I tremble, but it's the truth. I was told by my wife that a godly man said he'd been through the Bible so many hundreds of times. It was many years ago, so I went to him. He was dying, and so I spent time. I said, my wife said you had told her you've been through the Bible 420 times, 423 times. You know, I've never shared that with anybody but your wife. She was asking me, and I thought, well, I said, so you've been through over 400. That's wonderful. That's remarkable and wonderful. And he looked at me a strange way, and he said, but Keith, why are you saying that? It's impossible not to have gone through those many times after you've been saved so many years as I have, unless you wasted your life with trash and rubbing, because that's all it is, Keith. No matter how legitimate you may say, if it kept you from this, you don't have to go out there and commit adultery. A greater sin is to neglect this book, because that's why you go out and commit adultery. It's the reason of the faith. It is a greater sin, you commit as a Christian, to neglect God by neglecting his word. Unless you've played the fool with God, it's impossible not to have gone through so many hundreds of times. What did you do with life? What have you done with your life? You haven't. Well, I was in a meeting, a very large meeting, and in the foyer, as the people were streaming out, this Italian man, Italians are very different. Oh, I hope there's no Italians here tonight. Emotional and loud. But lovely, they say, trust me. No, this Italian man was upset with me, deeply upset, and he let the whole world know. He came through and said, how dare you? That was how loud he spoke. And trust me, everybody just stood there. Someone's angry with the preacher. Nobody wanted to move. He's standing now looking in shock. How dare you speak to us like you spoke? How dare you think you have the right to whip everybody with your preaching? It's not fair. You're a preacher, man. You've got a whole day to read the Bible. Come in the real world. You'll change your message immediately. Come in the real world. Come in my shoes for just a few days. You'll never preach this again. You wouldn't be able to. It's impossible to do what you say and be in the real world. Wake up, man. Oh, he's very angry. I don't know how to speak like an Italian person. In case there are Italians, trust me, I know many godly, okay, that are wonderful. Don't leave. He just needed something. He hadn't found it. Well, he said, I have three businesses, Brother Daniel. I have hundreds of people who work for me. I have a responsibility in the world recession, everybody's staggering to keep their doors open. I want to give them food, and I've got to work hard, and I'm tired. It's not possible to read these chapters and chapters. What are you talking about, man? I have responsibility. You don't have a sense of responsibility. Other people need that. I have to make sure they keep alive. Oh, so I had to speak loud, tragically, because he was shouting, what? You're a liar. What? He called me a liar? What sort of a preacher is this madman? You call me a liar? No one's ever spoken to me like that in my life. Oh, babe. Oh, he was like, oh, you are a liar. You're a terrible liar. You're such a good liar. You're even lying to yourself, if you believe it. But deep down, you know it's a lie. You're lying. The day God is first in your life, this book is first. Oh, God is not first in your life. If your businesses keep you from even finding the time I'm speaking about, if you can't get 15 minutes in the morning, in the night, sell your businesses. You're out of the will of God. You'll send the people you're providing food for to hell because of your life, and they hear you're a Christian. You're not in the will of God. Get somewhere where you can survive, and the few you do affect will be one to God and not sent to hell by you. And I guarantee you that's what's happening. You have no responsibility to anyone until your responsibility to God is fulfilled in this world. Outside of that, you can't believe by God. You'll be a curse. I said, sir, when you write with God, and when God is put first in your life, this book will be first, and you will find more than what I'm speaking about. You will find 10 times more in days than come in a week. But let me tell you something. Even though I don't doubt your saying, you will never walk with God one day in your life, and that is a tragedy, unless you do what? And stop lying to yourself. That's impossible, because it's just a lie. If you throw out everything that's not vital, no matter how legitimate, and you take the time for this, you will walk with God. Until then, you'll send people to hell and put them through hell, beginning with your home. Well, he said a few things that I don't want to write to remember, but off he went. A few years went by. One day I was in another church, and this Italian man walks up to me with a very loud voice, too, and a smile. Do you remember me? I mean, not yet. I'm getting it right now. Do you remember me? Oh, yes, I remember you. He walked straight up to me, put his hands around me, and he started reading. Brother, thank you. There was one preacher in the entire world who spoke to a man like that. No one ever spoke to me like that in my life, brother. I was so angry with you in the car all the way home. I was just like, what sort of a man is this? He's mad. He should be jailed. He ran a lot in the pulpit. How dare you? Oh, children, my wife looking out of the window. I was angry in my bed in the night. Speaking of God, I was so angry. Hello. I was angry, brother. What you said to me, I did. But I couldn't sleep. So then I began to think, what if he's right? What if I am lying? If it really is a lie that I'm believing, but it is a lie. To justify myself, what if I can? If I did put God first, if he's not first? If he's way back there behind the hour I give the television, and the six verses I give daily. But what if TV is more important to me than God? I'd like more time to choose to discipline myself. So I can't sleep. So I get out of bed. I got a pen. Never did that before. Get on my knees. Where did I start? John. Though I've been saved for a long time. See all the anger when I listen. Couldn't forget. So I started. And brother, I looked up at the sun was shining. I hadn't been able to stop. You see, the more you read, kid, it's the only book in the world. The more you have to read. My eyelids prevent the mind to ask for my words. You see, I want to go to sleep, but I can't. I want more. The more you give of this book, the more you can't stop. When you've got any time. Brother, I read through the whole night. I never would have dreamed a human would be writing his head, you see. I did it. I couldn't stop. I read through the Bible so many times now, he told me, from cover to cover, which I lost. Brother, this is the lovely part. I would say that I never, ever knew what it was to walk with God until then. And I have found not time for 15 minutes in the morning. I have found time for hours every day with my three businesses. And I neglect nothing. And I led souls to God that worked for me that I've never done before. Because I walk with God and I've died, saved, but in poverty, depriving of myself of the greatest joy a human could ever know this side of heaven, the presence of God, the voice of God, the power of God that's in this book, and only Jesus. There are two types of Christians in the world, don't doubt it. Spurgeon, of course, had to have ten of everything. He was homiletically wonderful and a bit further than most of us will ever be. But I guarantee you, even though Spurgeon had to find ten points, you could bring all ten to two in a second. There's two types of Christians in this world. You're one of the two. The one soaks themselves in the Bible every day of their life as the greatest love, desire, nurtured, God, and treasured moment of every day and discipline. But nothing will ever divert him from the time he should give to God to walk with God. The other doesn't. They're so different, though they're both saved, don't doubt that. But you wouldn't believe they're from the same planet, let alone the same religion. They're so different. And within seconds, you know who you're standing with, if you're on the one side, and I've never been wrong, so I can hear you. Which are you? I'm going to ask you something that will cost you, because I'm of the opinion that unless a man makes a choice while God is speaking before men's voice can take it all away, and it's going to be as you walk out of the door or even before, even in a church, I'm of the opinion the man needs to make a decision not to be spoken to about things, or he will go on probably the same way unless he makes a radical decision. I'm going to ask you something that will cost you. I don't care who you are, if you have one iota of sincerity and integrity to God, and you know that God has spoken to you tonight and confronted you, and you have one iota left of integrity toward God alone, and you know that you are desperately guilty of what I've preached tonight. You've neglected God, if you neglected his word, and that was your personal choice. Don't blame circumstances. And you need to come to God and not come like you do every day and confess all the sins. You need to come and confess the sin that was the reason for all the sins, the bigger sin, the neglecting of the word, the neglecting of the Bible, the neglecting of God, and the neglecting of being equipped by that baby to be able to walk in righteousness through this wicked world. And you need to confess that sin from your heart is the most wickedest as possible, of all the things you've been coming to hope one day God will deal with. No! You need to come to God and ask for mercy and forgiveness for the grief you have been to him, and don't doubt this, you are a total griefer, if that matters anymore, to God, and therefore to men, if we have to be honest, in the broader picture of those who really watch. You need to ask God's forgiveness and cleansing in the blood, and you need to ask him for the grace, and it will only be by grace, because you know how weak you are, and I know how weak I am. By thy grace, God, from this night, I will endeavor by the grace of God to never neglect the word again, and by the grace of God alone, till the day I die, to give it its rightful place, and to stop playing the fool with rubbish, no matter how legitimate it is, so that I can walk with God and not die, having played the fool with God and wasted my life on rubbish, utter rubbish. I'm going to ask you something from my heart, if you're brave enough, and this is going to take courage, isn't it? It's going to cost, but it's going to cost you a billion times more suffering if you don't, and you need to, because I don't think God's going to confront you too easily again once you say no about this. So I'm going to ask those of you, no matter what it costs you to do it, that God means more than anybody else, and it's only God you're doing it for, that you desperately need to seek God for mercy and repentance of the sin that is the reason for almost every failure in your life, and you desperately need to ask him from your soul with such integrity that God will be moved and heaven will be moved to answer it, for grace can never neglect its word again by the grace of God alone, till the day I die. Will you desperately need to seek God for that? Will you stand, please? I won't ask you all to come out. Will you bow your heads with me? Will you pray this aloud with me? And remember this, God does not look at the words that proceed out of the mouth. God looks at the heart from whence they come. If God sees that, though I'm leading you in prayer, that it is your prayer to the best of your ability, that's all God can expect. Don't dare believe he'll turn away his face and say, I'm not interested. Only the devil could tell you that. He's too holy to turn away his face from what he wants more than you, and trust me, you know already God wants this more than you do for your life. So, I want you to pray as best as you can from your heart, not for people to hear you. That would be sacrilege and blasphemy, but for God only to hear you. But say it, please, aloud with me. Oh God, I humble myself in thy sight, longing that thou should lift me up as thy word is promised to this man when I look, in the broken spirit of a contrite heart. And I am so broken at my condition and shame. Forgive me for the grief I have been to thee and to man. Because of this sin, I come to thee in repentance from this wickedness in my life, neglecting God by neglecting his word. My only hope of survival, and I did it consciously and deliberately. It was sin, and I need cleansing in the blood of Jesus. God's son that cleanses us Christians from all sin. Wash me in the blood of Jesus Christ from every failure that I have not confessed in my baseness. Give me a clean start because of my faith in the blood. And you begin, let the blood go deeper. Wash me through and through and through and through. Create in me a clean heart, oh God, and renew a right spirit within me, a consistent, steadfast grace to live in obedience to the light I have been given of what I know is the will of God in every circumstance. Renew a right spirit within me. Then shall I teach transgressors thy ways. Not before, sinners shall be converted unto thee, never before. But I long for that, Lord, that thou couldst use me as base as I am. Because of this one discipline, I lay my life afresh on the altar of God. Take my life, let it be consecrated, Lord, to thee. Take what's left of my life, have it for thyself, and by thy grace, and it will be grace, Lord, knowing myself, I will endeavor by the grace of God to never neglect thy word again. For then only do I know God is still first in my life. In Jesus the Christ's name, for his sake, amen. This does not make you sinless perfectionists. That happens as you get taken to heaven. Until then you grow. All this does, I believe, with my heart, if you were sincere, put you in a position where God can give consistent growth now. As you grow and grow more and more like Jesus, more knowledge, and the more light that comes, and you continually have to bow yourself before God as the light comes in this book or from the aspects. But as you walk in the light that you've been given, and you can, you will have fellowship one with another, the fellowship God intended you to have, beginning in the home right down to the church. And the blood of Jesus Christ, God's son, will present past, past, present, future attempts, staggering that cleanse, and anything that comes. You see, you're walking in the light, but you need the blood. Don't ever believe that you don't need the blood, no matter how victorious you are. Because there's, you see, that's the Old Testament. Every sacrifice points you to why Jesus had to die. One of them that you had to bring continually was for sins committed and ignorance. You need the blood, no matter how victorious you are in the light you've been given, that you can walk in and live in, in consistency. More light's coming, but no, come to God and say, thank you, Lord, even though there was such victory, I need the blood. That would just do to be done that God mercy. You see, we have to always come with the blood, no matter how much victory God gives. But he gives victory in the light you've been given. You walk in it through this. People have walked up to me in many, many situations and said, brother, from that prayer to this day, I have walked with God, and I never once in my life remember being able to say that before that prayer. Brother, will you commit us to Christ, please? ======================================================================== Video: https://sermonindex2.b-cdn.net/RL7FZJQFiNg.mp4 Source: https://sermonindex.net/speakers/keith-daniel/godly-instruction-given-on-the-night-of-my-salvation/ ========================================================================
