We started on it last week, I wanted to complete it in one message but we didn't get that far so I hope by the grace of God we'll get through it to a greater degree tonight and we'll continue in the weeks ahead in this absolute vital series on the Heaven's Rule. Here tonight as we come to Daniel chapter 7, we're going to again see that the Heaven's Rule, no matter what goes on in the earth, in politics, in nations, or in our entire generation, I want you to be convinced before we reach the end of Daniel that the Heavens do rule no matter what man does, no matter what the devil does. My message here tonight is the rise and the fall of the little horn. Reading from Daniel chapter 7 and I want to read from verse 7 through until verse 12 here tonight. Reading from Daniel 7 and verse 7. After this I saw in the night visions and behold a fourth beast dreadful and terrible and strong exceedingly and it had great iron teeth. It devoured and breaking pieces and stamped the residue with the feet of it and it was diverse from all the beasts that were before it and it had 10 horns. I considered the horns and behold there came up among them a little horn before whom there were three of the first horns plucked up by the roots and behold in this horn were eyes like the eyes of man and a mouth speaking great things. I beheld till the thrones were cast down and the ancient of days did set whose garment was white as snow and the hair of his head like pure wool. His throne was like the fiery flame and his wheels as burning fire. A fiery stream issued and came forth from before him thousand thousands ministered unto him and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him. The judgment was set and the boots were open. I beheld then because of the voice of the great words which the horn spake I beheld even to the beast was slain and his body destroyed and given to the burning flame. As concerning the rests of the beasts they had their dominion taken away yet their lives were prolonged for a season and a time. Let's pray here tonight in this Bible study. Father I do pray Lord God that you'd open our eyes. Lord God that you'd make us wise in this last generation. Lord God I pray for the opening of the book of Daniel. I pray that you open up the scriptures. Lord God that you'd so reveal this man called the little horn his kingdom and his dominion. Lord God that we are going to be led to the feet of the son of God. Father I pray for a divine revelation. Lord God as we look at the kingdoms of men we'd be forced to look up to the kingdom of our God. Lord God as we behold what man has done the greatest of men that we would look to the man of your right hand. Lord God as we behold this little horn and the prophecies concerning him. Lord God I pray that you'd grip our hearts with prophecies concerning the son of man that have yet not happened. But Lord God which we are caught up in in this last generation. Father I pray for the spirit of wisdom and understanding of revelation. That you open our eyes. That you open our ears. That you open up our hearts. That you'd incline them to hear and to understand. Lord God teach us as a people and make clear your word in Jesus mighty name. Amen. We started in chapter Daniel in Daniel chapter 7 last week and we want to finish it here this week. These two chapters go together so make sure if you haven't heard last week's message go back to it and look at the teaching there because within last week it gives you the understanding to understand what I'm going to give you here tonight. As I said last week in coming to Daniel chapter 7 we begin looking at a very specific subject that continues to flow through to Daniel chapter 12. It is the subject of a person called the little horn. Yes there's teaching about Christ. There's teaching about Israel. There's teaching about the last days. There is much teaching about many other things. But these chapters are given to open up and to reveal to us concerning the future history of someone called the little horn. But since here in this chapter 7 listen to me very carefully. As we behold the little horn he is going to be contrasted with someone else who is called the son of man. These two persons in Daniel chapter 7 are contrasted. You see I've heard too many pastors and preachers and bible teachers say we don't need to bother about the teaching of antichrist in the bible. They set it aside and make it of little importance to the church. I believe that's a big mistake. You see when God is going to teach us about true prophets he reveals false prophets from the bible. When he's going to show you truth he shows you error. This is what God does all through the bible is compares and sets side by side the real with the false that we might be taught and instructed. And so when we come to Daniel 7 through until Daniel chapter 12 do you know what we're looking at? We're looking at an example. Do you know that as the spirit of God shows us about this little man who's going to be the world leader of the last generation he is going to be the greatest world leader as far as men have ever produced. We're going to see something about his political system that he belongs to that he rules over and that he arises in the midst of. We are going to begin to see his geographical region. In other words the country or the nationality of his birth. We're going to read about his history. Why is it that the spirit of God lays all this out? Are we meant to ignore it? No we're meant to study it. It doesn't matter what generation of the church we lived in. We should have been learning this teaching this and understanding this. You know why? It leads us to the Lord Jesus Christ. The little horn is contrasted with the son of God. It says in revelation 19 and verse 10. Listen the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy. When we come to Bible prophecy what is the spirit of prophecy? It is the testimony of Christ. In other words as we look at Bible prophecy we're always led to Jesus Christ. We're always brought to Calvary. We're always brought to the Lamb of God. And so here tonight I want to contrast in this chapter Daniel chapter 7. I want to contrast the little horn. Don't be scared of studying the antichrist or the little horn. Don't be drawn aside to believe it doesn't matter. It is important. It is vital because you know what if you don't understand the little horn you'll never understand the son of God. How can you? If you don't understand what the Holy Spirit teaches us about the kingdoms of men how will you ever understand about the kingdom of heaven? And so in this chapter 7 we are taught about four kingdoms of man upon the earth. Why does he do that? To lead us to teach him about the kingdom of heaven that's going to come from heaven and reign upon the earth. This is how God teaches us. First he shows you the naturally earthly before he can possibly teach you the heavenly and the spiritual. This is what he actually does. Saints let me bring you to this message tonight. The rise and the fall of the little horn. That is my message but we're going to deal with an awful lot more. You see as we come to Daniel chapter 2 and Daniel 7 I personally believe that the iron kingdom that we started to deal with last week of Daniel is the Roman Empire. That's what I believe. The fourth kingdom of Daniel 2 and Daniel 7 is the Roman Empire. But all Bible teachers do not teach that especially in this generation. Old liberal theologians that arose in Germany and then America they began to teach that this was Greece and not Rome and they taught many other things. But there's another group that has arisen since the year 2000 and a teaching that has become very popular that says that Rome is not the fourth kingdom of Daniel 2 or Daniel 7. What is it? They're born again Christians who love Jesus but they believe something different than what I'm teaching you here. Who are they? They are those that believe that the Antichrist is going to be a Muslim and they teach that this iron kingdom the fourth kingdom that's going to arise in the last days is going to be worldwide Islam. You may or may not have heard this but there's a lot of popular teachers since the year 2000 have began to teach it strongly. Joel Richardson, Chuck Missler, Perry Stone, Volodymyr Shubat and John MacArthur have all got caught up in this. They didn't used to believe this but they've got drawn in in this teaching that Antichrist is going to be a Muslim. That the last world religion is going to be Islam spread across the world. They actually point out that Rome is never mentioned in connection with this fourth beast specifically. They also point out that this fourth Roman beast never conquered the Medo-Persian or Babylonian empires. That's what they actually said that Rome didn't absolutely conquer all the nations that the three previous empires ruled over and so they say it can't be Rome. Who do they say this fourth beast was in the past? Some of them say it was the Parthian empire that arose after the Medo-Persian empire. They say that it was the Islamic caliphate that arose in the year 632. Listen carefully but that was 700 years after Rome conquered Greece. They say that this Islamic caliphate was in place all the way through to the Ottoman empire that arose in the 14th century which fell in 1923 but they teach that this Islamic state or political system is going to revive again in the future and it's going to be made up of 10 distinct Muslim nations. That it's going to be restricted to the Middle East and that it is going to be the world power in which Antichrist arises. Do I believe this? No I utterly reject it. Now hear me and I'm going to prove it briefly here. I wish I had an hour on this but we don't. Let me just mention why I do not believe the Antichrist is going to be Islamic or a Muslim. You see this teaching and I've read their books and listened their sermons. They confuse beasts with heads with horns and that's what we're dealing with here. This is why I'm spending time on it. They get all confused and make an empire sometimes a beast, sometimes a head and sometimes horns. They're very very confused when they come to it and so they teach that Babylon the first empire of Daniel 2 and 7 is also one of the seven heads of the beast in the book of Revelation. They also teach that the Grecian empire the third beast of Daniel is also the fifth head of the fourth beast of Revelation. So they begin to confuse all of this and if you're not confused I assure you if you study this you will get confused and I'll have an awful lot of questions for you. They get all confused and when they come to Revelation 17 they say that the scarlet beast is the political system of Islam. The woman Ragnet is the religion of Islam and the Antichrist is the Muslim messiah. The only problem is in Revelation 17 the 10 horns which are meant to be 10 Muslim nations destroy the woman on the back of the beast. It's utter confusion when you come to the Islamic Antichrist. I want to tell you tonight be very careful of following the latest trend of Bible prophecy. Since 2000 this has become popular. Many great Bible teachers have followed it but I want to tell you without reservation it is utterly wrong. It is filled with holes and it is filled with confusion. These Bible teachers may sound like they know what they're talking about but they actually do not. Before we come to our message let me just prove briefly that Rome replaced Greece or the Grecian empire. Do you remember I said that the Grecian empire was split into four different regions? Well as Rome began to arise as an empire it conquered each of those four individual regions over a period of 150 years. No other kingdom did and this is several hundred years before Islam is even birthed. How could it possibly be Islam? This beast is the Roman empire. It was in the year 168 that Rome conquered Greece and Macedonia the year 168. Then the second region which covered all of Turkey had conquered in the year 133 BC. The third region was conquered in the year 63 BC and the fourth and final region of the Grecian empire was conquered by Augustus which was Egypt in the year 30 BC. So we see that the Roman empire as it began to arise it conquered all four regions of Alexander's empire. Rome replaced the Grecian empire and it become the fourth beast of Daniel 2 and of Daniel chapter 7. It cannot be Islam. It cannot be something that came 700 years later and all I'm doing is touching on it very briefly there. Let me go to my message here tonight. The rise and the fall of the little horn and I've got four points for you here. The first point the future history of the Roman beast. Last week we looked at its past history. This fourth Roman beast but I want to take you further here to tell you or to show you that it has a future. You may think the Roman empire was all in the past. That it's dead and gone. That it's in history. That it's buried for good but I want to tell you this prophecy says not only that it did exist but it's going to exist again. Look with me as we look at the past and the future history of the Roman empire. Look at verse 7. It says after this I saw in the night visions and behold a fourth beast dreadful and terrible and strong exceedingly and it had great iron teeth. It devoured and it break in pieces and it stamped the residue with the feet of it and it was diverse from all the beasts that were before it and it had 10 horns. This is the Roman empire that began with Augustus. Do you know that Augustus was called the father of western civilization. In other words the first Roman emperor who made Rome an empire. The first great emperor of Roman history. The history books say he was one of the greatest leaders in all of world history yet most of us don't know who he is. He is also the father of western civilization still today. Our entire western civilization look back to Augustus as the first emperor. As the father of our entire civilization. Though the Roman empire is in the past yet it is still affecting our culture and our time. This iron empire is an extraordinary empire. Since I want to tell you the bible prophesied very accurately about the Roman empire. Daniel prophesied when Rome was nothing. In this prophecy in Daniel 7 three times in the very same word this empire is described in detail. Four times it is called the fourth beast. In other words it comes after the previous three. Exact details are given about it. Three times we're told it's going to be diverse or very different than the other beasts. Twice we're told that its teeth were made of iron. Twice we're told about the feet of the beast that it's going to stamp the residue or those bits of the kingdom before it. It's going to stamp it underfoot. And three times we're told about it the head of the beast and the ten kings that are going to arise upon it. Iron is the great mark of this kingdom of the Roman beast. It says again in chapter 7 and verse 19 and this is Daniel speaking to the angel. As he saw the vision of this great beast then I would know the truth of the fourth beast. Notice he was more interested in the fourth than the previous three which was diverse from all the others exceeding dreadful whose teeth were of iron and his nails of brass which devoured and breaking pieces and stamped the residue with his feet. Do you know what it says here about this piece? It's going to stamp underfoot the residue of the previous Grecian empire. Those four regions. It's going to stamp them down. That's what it says here. The remainder. The remnant of the previous kingdom. Rome is going to arise and stamp it underfoot. Do you remember in Daniel chapter 2 again it speaks about the same beast. The fourth kingdom shall be strong as iron for as much as iron breaketh in pieces and subdueth all things and as iron breaketh all of these shall it break in pieces and bruise. That's what this fourth empire is going to do and he said thus he said the fourth beast should be the fourth kingdom upon the earth which shall be diverse from all kingdoms and shall devour the whole earth and shall tread it down and break it in pieces. In Daniel chapter 2 after we have the prophecy of this fourth kingdom do you know what happens? God sets up his kingdom on the earth in its very last days. In Daniel chapter 7 when we see this fourth beast and the fullness of its history at the end of its history what do we see? God coming to set his kingdom up on the earth. In other words we see the Roman empire again in the last days in the last generation before Jesus comes back again. It is an iron beast and the iron beast of Daniel 2 and Daniel 7 appears again in the New Testament in Revelation chapter 13 and Revelation chapter 17. It is the exact same beast in these four chapters. Why do you think the Bible says so much about this fourth beast or this Roman beast? In Revelation chapter 17 and 18 listen to what it says. Identify the beast the woman on its back and the city it represents. Revelation 17 and 18 and the woman which thou sawest is that great city which reigneth over the kings of the earth. Which city was reigning over the kings of the earth when John wrote this? You see in Revelation 17 the angel is speaking to John the apostle in the New Testament. He's looking at the beast with the woman sitting on it. He's seeing this vision and he said what am I looking at and the angel says you're looking at that city that's reigning over all the kings of the earth. Which city was reigning over the kings of the earth in John's day? It was the city of Rome and Revelation 17 it's not about New York. It's not about Mecca. It's not about any other city in the world and it's certainly not about Dublin I want to tell you here. You see many teach that Revelation 17 and 18 is about Mecca and they say that the seven hills or seven towers are buildings in the center of Mecca. That's ridiculous. I'm going to tell you that tonight. Others say it's the city of New York but no it's not. John is given the revelation in John 17 of what city it is. It is the city of Rome. That's what that fourth beast is. The beast that Daniel predicted that John prophesies about is connected to the city of Rome. Listen for a second and you'll understand where I'm going to. An ancient Roman historian living a hundred years before Christ called Varro said that the city of Rome had two original names before it was called Rome. Listen to what they were. The first name in Latin is Septimonitum which means seven mountains. The other name of it is Septiceps which means seven heads. So here's Varro an old Roman historian living a hundred years before John and he says the original name of the city of Rome was seven mountains and seven heads. That was the original name of the city of Rome when it just had seven villages on seven different hills and a fence in around it. They were called the seven heads or the seven mountains. That is the Latin name of that city. When you come to Revelation 17 this begins to make real sense. Listen to me carefully. In Revelation 17 in verse 7 it says about this scarlet beast which has seven heads and ten horns. Now notice here that this beast in Revelation 17 we're told that it has seven heads. In verse 9 we're told what the seven heads represent. It's in a vision. It's got seven heads upon it. Do you remember like the Greek empire? When the Grecian empire arose it had four heads on it. What did it represent? It represented one empire but it was going to be split into four and those four were four different types of head of government of authority. The Grecian empire would split in four and those four heads would be one empire. They would speak the same language. They would have the same culture. They would trace their origin back to Alexander the Great but they're one empire but they've got four heads and the Grecian empire the leopard had four heads representing four different regional heads or governments. Do you know when you come to Revelation 17 and you see this scarlet beast and it's got seven heads upon it. Do you know what it means? It actually means there's seven forms of government connected to the Roman empire. Listen carefully for a second. I'm going to show you how can you have the Roman empire of Daniel that Daniel prophesied about. How can you have it in the days at those early days and yet we're going to see it again in the last days. How can you have it when it doesn't exist today? Is this wrong teaching or am I telling you something the Bible predicts and prophesies about that the Roman empire is going to exist after the Grecian empire and during the early church and through John writing the book of Revelation but somewhere it's going to disappear but it's going to come back. Does the Bible teach that this scarlet beast with seven heads is going to disappear for a significant time? Yes it does but you don't find the answer in Daniel. You find the answer in the book of Revelation. It makes you to understand how can this scarlet beast be there in the days after Greece but yet it's still future to us and it's going to appear again. The seven heads show us what is going to happen. Now listen most Bible teachers will tell you that the seven heads are seven empires. How can it be? How can the beast be an empire? The Roman empire and yet its heads are empires. That doesn't make sense. Heads are not empires. They're forms of government within that empire. These seven heads represent kinds of government within the Roman empire. Most Bible teachers will say it's Babylon, Medo-Persia, Greece, Rome, Egypt and Assyria. That that's the seven heads. I do not believe that and listen. Revelation 17. Listen to what it says. The seven heads are seven mountains. So that's the first thing in Revelation 17. What are the seven heads? They are seven mountains upon which the woman sits. That is the literal city of Rome. Now listen there's two parts to this and it keeps it centered in the city of Rome. First of all the seven heads are connected to the seven mountains. They represent the seven physical mountains of the city of Rome. But listen it goes further in verse 10. And there are seven kings. So you see that the seven heads represent two things. Seven physical mountains in the city of Rome. But also seven kings are seven forms of government. He goes on to explain further and he tells you what happens with these seven heads. The history is given in Revelation 17. From the beginning of the history of the Roman empire right to its very end. We are given seven forms of government. The full history of the Roman empire. And Revelation 17 explains the first five were fallen. When John began to write he said the five were fallen. The word fallen means to descend from a high position. To be cast down or to fall under judgment or to lose their authority and be removed from power. If the head represents a form of government like it does with the Grecian empire it means that Rome before Augustus arose there were five forms of government. Then it says in John 17 in the days of John there is a sixth head and it was present in John's day. Five have come and gone. They have fallen. They have lost their power. But there's one in John's day. What is it? Imperial Rome. That's what was there. It's one of the forms of government. It began with Augustus and went to the end of the fall of the Roman empire in the fifth century. It was imperial Rome was the sixth head of that scarlet beast. And it remained there but it's gone. So we see that six of the heads have already gone. But look what John prophesies. And the other is yet to come. So he prophesies there's going to be a seventh form of government. Different. Separated from imperial Rome. Since I want to tell you that imperial Rome is finished. It is come and gone. It is absolutely gone. But there is a seventh form of government that is yet to come. It is called the seventh head of the scarlet beast. It is a form of government. A new form of government. You see I believe the seventh head is just future and it's about to come about. And I want to tell you from Daniel. I want to show you now take you back into Daniel to Daniel chapter seven and I want to show you the sixth head of the Roman beast. You see that's not explained in Daniel. It's explained in Revelation. And here tonight having showed you the Roman beast. Now let me come to my second point. Since I know it's a jigsaw but I'm trying to help you and to condense this down. The second point here from Daniel chapter seven. The rise of the ten horns. You see this Roman beast has three periods of history. The scarlet beast. The time when ten horns appear. And then finally a third period when a little horn arises. So we've seen the Roman empire in past history with its six heads. But there's one period of time that's still future that we're going to look at here. In Daniel chapter seven. And please follow with me here tonight. Daniel seven verse seven. And it says and it had ten horns. The scarlet beast that's going to follow the Grecian empire. This is a note in its history. Remember Daniel seven is given the history of the four empires. It's given their broad history throughout time. This fourth beast is going to come to a time like with the Grecian empire when it's split into four. There's going to be a time where this Roman beast is going to arise and it's going to have ten horns. What are the ten horns? They are ten kings. It's still a fourth beast but it's its later history. It's not a different kingdom. It is the exact same kingdom. It is still connected to the city of Rome. This sixth head that's going to come or sorry this seventh head that's going to come is connected to the seven hills of Rome. And we get more information about it in Revelation chapter 13. But here in Daniel 7 24 look what it says. And three times we're given this history about the rise of ten horns. Saints I want you to notice this because it's just about to happen. I believe it's at the door. I believe what started to happen last year and is happening this year is setting the field. Saints it wouldn't surprise me if very soon we see this come about. I don't know when but I believe the decade of the 20s is going to put this political system in place. I believe we're going to see the revival of the Roman empire again. I believe we're going to see the seventh head or the ten horns come up on this feast one more time. Look at verse 24. The ten horns of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise. It's talking about the history of this feast that it's still in the future. It hasn't happened yet. This feast does not always have ten horns but it shall have ten horns. Ten horns are going to arise at a certain point in its history but they're only going to be there for a short time. A very brief time. Ten kings are going to come up. That's never happened in history past. Never did that happen in the Roman empire that ten kings come up and ruled over it jointly. It's never happened but Daniel prophesies it and Revelation prophesies that these ten kings when they appear to look up because the son of man is coming. In other words in the days of those ten kings as it says in Daniel 2 in the days of those ten kings God is going to set up his kingdom on the earth. Do you see the importance of teaching this here tonight? That we are going to watch the formation of a political system in our day and generation and you know what it's a warning that there's a kingdom coming from on high. Don't get scared. Don't get confused. Don't get worried at what's happening across our world in Europe and in America and out across the nations of the world. You know what it's telling me? Something is just about to happen. This is an exciting time. You know there were those that were living in 1948 when Israel was rebirthed as a nation. I mean they watched it on television. They read about it in their bible and said maybe it's in the future. Maybe it's in the millennium. Maybe it'll be when Jesus comes back and they try to spiritualize it. And put it off into the future and yet in 1948 all the world watched as Israel got regathered rebirthed as a nation in one day. In one single day Israel that ancient nation that had been scattered across the world was rebirthed as a nation again. You know what's going to happen I believe? The Roman Empire is about to be rebirthed just like Israel as a nation and I believe we're very very close in this hour. A political system is about to come very very soon and it shall arise in the earth. Do you remember in Daniel chapter 2 where we already covered the legs were all of iron. That is the Roman Empire in past history. The legs of iron are room in the past. But what do you get at the end of the legs in Daniel chapter 2? Listen the legs were of iron but his feet were part of iron and part of clay and they shall mingle themselves with the seed of men. Notice here that the seed of men is mentioned specifically in relation to the clay. In other words the clay the feet are not actually all iron anymore. It's not the Roman Empire in past history. It is the Roman Empire when Jesus comes to set up his kingdom upon the earth. What does it look like? The ten twos are the ten kings and they're not iron anymore. They're a mixture of iron and clay and what it is is that the seed of men is the clay that mixes with the iron the form of government. Do you know what clay represents? The clay is potter's clay or it means it's fired. Do you know when you take clay before you fire it it's all putty. It's all putty. You squeeze it. It doesn't look like much but when you fire that clay it looks very strong. It looks very solid but it's not strong. It's very weak. You can break a clay instrument very very easily. You know the ten twos they're made of iron and clay and they try to mingle it and yet it doesn't work. Do you know in Daniel 2 it's talking about two different forms of government. An iron government and a clay government. Clay is of the earth. Clay represents man. So here you have a form of government that's soon going to arise when the Roman Empire revives. You're going to have ten kings and the form of government. It's going to be a mixture of two different kinds of government that they're going to try to tie together. They're going to try and merge it together. One is of man and one is of iron. That's what it actually represents. Since I'm telling you about the last days that we are approaching very fast over in Revelation chapter 13 we read more details about this beast and its ten kings. In Revelation 13 to 1 it says we we are told that the vision that John had he saw a beast rise up out of the sea with seven heads and ten horns. This is the beast the last world government that's going to arise before Jesus comes back and he has a vision in Revelation 13. Look at it again. Seven heads ten horns and upon his horns ten crowns. Do you realize in Revelation 13 when it says that ten horns have crowns that means when they receive power. Revelation 13 is a prophecy about when these ten kings get their power. It's told about a prophecy that hasn't happened yet. It's still future. It is yet to happen. Ten world leaders and the old Roman Empire is going to revive. Do you know what the ten kings are? They are the seventh head. They are the seventh head. Hear me. The sixth head was imperial Rome but when Rome revives and comes back again it was but it's not but it's going to come again. That's what we read in Revelation. How can you have a beast an empire that has come and gone but it's going to arise again? Here you have the prophecy. Ten kings are going to arise not nations. Everyone teaches ten nations. It's not ten nations. It's not the EU. It's not ten European nations. Not at all. It's not countries. It's ten kings and these ten kings are going to have a form of government of clay and of iron. They are the seventh head of the Roman beast. Now listen carefully here in Revelation 13 we get very clear information. It says in verse 3 I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death and this deadly wound was healed. Look what it's saying about one of the heads. Which head of this beast was wounded to death? Remember I said the first five fell. It's a different Greek word to choose. They fell. They were removed. They were replaced but one of the heads was wounded to death. Do you know that Greek word means it was butchered. It was killed. That's what it means. So five forms of government were removed. One of them was killed. Which form of Roman government was killed? It was imperial Rome was butchered to death by barbarian tribes that broke in upon the city of Rome and upon the nation of Italy and they destroyed the Roman Empire. They butchered it to death. They killed imperial Rome and the fifth century was the last official Roman Empire. He died never to be raised again since the Roman Empire died as soon as imperial Rome died. It died but you know what Revelation 13 says that there's going to be a head. The head of it's going to be healed again. It's going to be restored. What is the restoration? It is ten kings. A form of government is going to arise on the Roman beast. This great Roman political economic social beast is going to arise since it is coming. It is even at the door. Last year and this year I believe the whole climate has been created in our world. Every nation has been affected. I can't believe what we've seen in just one year. In one single year our world has changed and it's being made ready for the rise, the reviving, the restoration of this beast and I'm prophesying on the basis of God's word that we're about to see 10 world leaders arise. I don't know when. I don't know when but this is what's going to happen in the 2020s. I'm utterly convinced of it and you know what if we see the rise of 10 world leaders we know we know it's the end and God's kingdom is going to come to reign upon the earth. Daniel repeats three times about 10 horns on that beast. He becomes very aware that this is a future history of this fourth beast. My third point here the rise of the little horn. Daniel focuses in not only on the 10 horns but another horn that rises in their midst. It's called the little horn and Daniel focuses in upon it. It arises among the 10 after the 10 and it replaces the 10. Look in Daniel 7 he said I considered the horns. In other words he's looking, he's studying, he is watching them. As this unveils in front of him he considers the 10 horns and behold there came up among them another little horn. Notice this isn't a generation afterwards. This little horn comes up amidst the 10. The 10 have to be in place before the little horn arises. There's going to be no antichrist on the earth until there's 10 world leaders. You have lots of people they forget about the 10 horns. They forget about the revived roman empire. Lots of people think we won't be here for it. I want to show you tomorrow we could begin to see the rise of this roman revived beast with its 10 world leaders. The bible prophesies an antichrist will not be revealed, cannot be revealed until these 10 kings are in place. Once the 10 kings are in place the whole scene is set for the rise, the revealing and the manifestation of another little horn. Just think 2,600 years ago Daniel gets a revelation, a vision, a clear prophecy about what's just about to happen in our world in this generation. He actually gets to look down through and to see the complete history, the order of it, the events, the facts and the details. Isn't this extraordinary how accurate just like he was accurate about Babylon and about Medo-Persia and about Greece. So he is accurate about the roman empire and not just the roman empire of past history, the roman empire of the future. This same beast, this same civilization, this same culture is going to come back but it's going to have a different form of government than imperial Rome. Since look at this little horn here for a minute that Daniel begins to speak about. He's talking, he calls him a little horn, another horn, another king but it's a little horn. You know everyone who tells you they know who the antichrist is don't believe them. They always choose one of the prominent leaders. It's Obama or it's Schwab or it's someone else or it's the great prime minister. You know what all of them are wrong. This little horn is an insignificant horn. When you see him arise there is great world leaders. He is insignificant. He is a nobody. He has no power. He is unnoticed. He just begins to rise up and he's called a little horn, a little king, a little prime minister, a little president. You wouldn't even acknowledge him. You wouldn't think anything about him. When we first see the little horn and remember Daniel talks much about this little horn. He is a small player. He is utterly unknown. You would never choose him to be the antichrist. Your bet would never fall on him. While you're looking at the 10 big leaders he silently, secretly, quietly arises. But notice how he gains power. He comes up in the midst of the 10 kings and Daniel says in verse 8 before whom there were three of the first horns plucked up by the roots. Do you know how he gains power? He plucks three of the kings up by the roots. In other words those 10 kings to gain power, to gain the entire kingdom. Since I want to warn you that everything that they're trying to build today, a one world economic system, a tracking system, putting your mobile in your body, all of this controlled society, a cashless society, it is all being prepared for a little horn who's going hijack it. It won't be the big bankers. It won't be the big political leaders. It won't be the big businessmen. Do you realize that when they gain power and have their world government that is not the end. A little insignificant horn is going to arise and he's going to steal the power. He's going to steal the position. How does he do it? He removes three of these leaders. I believe the entire world is going to be split into 10 regions. Europe is just one of them. Europe's one of those regions. America will be another region. It won't be a nation. It'll be a region and this little horn may be a king of a small nation. We're going to see it very shortly in Daniel's prophecy. He tells us where his nationality is or where he arises and it's not on America and it's not in Europe. Daniel prophesies it. The exact details. As this little horn arises to gain power, he uproots three of these kings, these three leaders. He totally removes them from power. They lose all power and you never read of the other seven again. It also says behold in the horn were eyes and the eyes of man. He had intelligence. Eyes mean intelligence and a mouth speaking great things. Three times we read in Daniel 7 how he's going to subdue three of them. Listen to me, three times it says the little horn will subdue three of these kings. That's major. Since this is all about to come, we are about to see the reviving of the Roman Empire. 10 great world leaders over it. When it appears there'll be 10 leaders and a little horn, an insignificant national leader, is going to uproot three of those kings and take over the entire kingdom. It says and another shall arise after them. He shall be diverse from them and he shall subdue three kings. Daniel 7 verse 20 and of the 10 horns that were in his head and of the other which came up before whom three were. Do you know what else it says in Daniel 7? How this little horn will be noted or what is going to happen in the future? It says in verse 21 that the little horn made war with the saints and prevailed against them. God won't deliver them. Seeing that hour when the little horn arises, one of the major things he's going to do is make war on the saints. What does that word saints mean? It means holy ones. Those who are consecrated to God. Those set apart for God. This little political leader that's going to take over the world government, that's going to have economic, religious, military power greater than any country or nation, greater than all the greatest leaders of world history. This little horn is going to make war against the saints and he's going to prevail. Do you know God allows him to do it? God actually allows him to do it and he speaks very proud things. We're told as well he wears down the saints. He makes them weary. Look in verse 25 with me what it says and it says that he thinks to change times and laws. This gives the future history of what's about to happen in our world. That the end of human history, the end of world government, the end of man's government in our world. This is the last chapter that God is telling us about. He says that this little horn once he gains power and begins to persecute the saints. Do you know what he tries to do? He's going to change the times and the laws. That term times means to put kings in place and remove kings. In other words he's going to gain political power. To change laws means he's going to change the legislation of the world. He's going to bring in world law. In other words he's going to start appointing people and say you have power and you have no power and this is the law that we all live by. He's going to rule governmental power and legislation and he's going to replace the laws of God and the laws of man with his own legislation. Look as well in the same verse it says it gives us the time frame and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and dividing of times. Time is one year. Times is double. It's two years and the dividing of time is half a year. In other words three and a half years. The saints are going to be given into the little horn's hands for three and a half years. This is repeated in Daniel chapter 12 verse 7. But look what it says in verse 26. But aren't you glad for the buts? Saints I want you to see here that all the world governments of history Nebuchadnezzar, Cyrus, Alexander, Augustus and then the little horn is all to prepare our world throughout world history for another person who's going to take up dominion. Another world leader and a different government of a very different type. Let me finish my message here. The fourth and last point in Daniel chapter 7 and listen to what it is. A future kingdom coming from heaven. We've seen all these great kingdoms through history and something just about to happen in our world. Don't you realize this is to prepare all of humanity and our world for another kingdom not of this earth? Do you know within man is the desire for government? I know we're rebellious especially the Irish. I know we are but you know our world cries out for a pure government to be ruled over. To have authority for someone that will govern the nations and bring in world peace and bring an end to famine and sort out of all of our problems. Isn't that within the culture of man? Oh that we could have a government and a leader that would end war. Oh that we'd have a leader that would bring in peace and prosperity that would be to the blessing of us all. Don't you realize the desire of all nations is for such a king for a monarchy and yet we've never seen a good one. Never throughout human history. Every king has failed. Every president. Every prime minister. They never come up to our expectations and yet our world is crying out. Give us a leader. Give us world peace. End all the promises. All the problems of our world. The fourth thing here we see is the future kingdom coming from heaven. It actually says in verse 9. I beheld. This is Daniel speaking. Till the thrones were cast down. He saw the previous four beasts and all of their history and he kept watching them straight to the end. The little horn making war on the saints and as he saw that till thrones were cast down and the ancient of days did set. Saints I want to tell you tonight. Look at the comparison here. The kingdoms of this world compared with a kingdom coming from heaven. There is a kingdom coming. In verse 9 he says and the of days did set. There's a certain person having seen the little horn on earth persecuting God's people. He then looks up to see a kingdom coming from heaven and there is one called the ancient of days who did set upon a throne and his garment was as wide as snow. His hair of his head was like pure wool. He had the mark of purity of age of ancientness. What is his name? The ancient of days and he's sitting on a throne and the throne was like fiery flame with wheels burning. It's like a chariot. That's what it is. It's a throne that's like a chariot and it's burning with great fire and fire streams forth from that throne. Saints I'm telling you what is not far down the road. I'm telling you of a kingdom that's going to come from heaven and the ancient of days is going to be seated on his throne. Who is this ancient of days? Let's just take a good note here. Who is he? He's the one who's setting judgment. Who begins to open up the books. In verse 11 it says and I beheld because of the great words which the horn speak. I beheld till the beast was slain and his body destroyed and given to the burning flame. Not talking about the little horn talking about the beast. The final Roman beast or world civilization government. The ancient of days sits and it's time to destroy the final world government. He's going to annihilate it. He is going to utterly destroy it. He's going to remove it from the earth. It says in verse 13 and I saw in the night visions and behold one like the son of man came with the clouds of heaven and to the ancient of days. Look at the two persons. You've got two people. Judgment is being set. It is the end of earth's government. It is the end of the three and a half years of the little horn's reign and you know what happens? One like the son of man approaches onto one called the ancient of days. The ancient of days is on his throne and the son of man comes on the clouds of heaven. He draws near to the ancient of days since I'm telling you of a kingdom that's preparing to come. It's from heaven. Who is the son of man? Do you know the name son of man is a term used for Jesus Christ in the gospel of Matthew. It's used 32 times. Son of man. In other words Jesus in the gospel of Matthew. He looks back into Daniel and he says I'm the son of man. I am the son of man. In fact in Matthew 24 talking about the end of the great tribulation. He says you will see the son of man coming on the clouds of heaven. Who is that? It is the Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus is coming back to establish an everlasting kingdom. Do you know in Matthew it also says in chapter 26 when he's standing before the high priest the religious system in Israel and they say uh are are are you the Messiah? Are you the Christ? Do you know what he tells them? He says you said it. You said it but listen to what he said. He said hereafter shall ye see the son of man sitting at the right hand of power and coming in the clouds of heaven. And you know what they cried blasphemy because Jesus was claiming that he was the son of man and that a day is coming where he's going to come on the clouds. Since Jesus isn't coming until man has done his ultimate he'll never set up his kingdom on the earth. I know we're tired of this world. I know we're weary of what man is doing. I I know we're sick of politics and we see rising evil but I want to tell you there's a day coming when Jesus is coming again. He's going to receive a kingdom from the ancient of days. Who's the ancient of days? It is the father in heaven. The father in heaven commissions the son of man to come in the clouds of heaven. I am telling you about a kingdom that's going to be set up in the days of the 10 twos of the 10 horns of the little horn. I'm telling you of a kingdom that's going to come from heaven and it will be an everlasting kingdom. Nobody will defeat this kingdom. It is an eternal kingdom. An everlasting kingdom and it says in verse 14 there was given him dominion glory a kingdom that all people nations languages should serve him and the dominion everlasting dominion which shall not pass away. His kingdom shall not be destroyed. All of this was given to Jesus Christ. In the book of Revelation it says in chapter 11 and this is the seventh angel in Revelation when he blows the trumpet it says the kingdoms of this world are going to become the kingdoms of of of our Lord and of his Christ. Do you realize Ireland is going to become Jesus? Do you realize America is going to be taken over by King Jesus? Do you realize Germany? Do you realize England? Do you realize there's one coming who is going to be given all of the nations of the world and all languages are going to serve him? All nations all cultures are going to become his. The ancient of days the father is going to give to the son of man. He is coming as a man. He is coming as one who took on humanity and you know what all nations are going to worship him. All power is going to be given unto him and listen he's not going to reign alone. Daniel prophesied this two thousand six hundred years ago. He looked down through the corridors of time past Nebuchadnezzar and Babylonia down to the days of Belshazzar Cyrus and the middle Persian empire Alexander and the Grecian empire Augustus and the Roman empire then further down into the future which is future now to the little horn the ten horns rising the revival of the Roman empire but he looks way beyond that since I'm telling you a contrast this is why I study the little horn and the antichrist you know why I'm going to see the glory come Lord Jesus Maranatha Maranatha I'm looking for an everlasting kingdom I'm looking for a king oh I want him to rule over the earth men will come and go rulers will come and go but saints I'm telling you the nations of this world are going to belong to Jesus Christ and in verse 18 he goes further but the saints of the most high shall take the kingdom notice they don't take the kingdom until Jesus comes back we're not going to take the kingdom and present it to him we don't believe in kingdom now dominion theology you know what when Jesus comes back it's going to seem like man is ruling Israel is about to be defeated all believers in Jesus Christ are about to be annihilated but at that point at that very point when Jesus comes in the clouds of the air when he comes in all power and majesty when judgment is set do you know what's going to happen first 18 the saints of the most high shall take the kingdom or be given the kingdom and they'll possess the kingdom forever that's you and I since I'm telling you there's a kingdom coming to this world the ancient of days is going to set up his kingdom through the Lord Jesus Christ and Daniel 2600 years ago is beholding this in a vision in the night in Daniel chapter 7 in the first year of Belshazzar here he is he wakes up he has a dream and then a vision and he's looking at all the world history right down to the end when the son of man is going to come on the clouds don't you long for that hour saints aren't you looking up in this hour don't get discouraged by what man is going to do and it says finally in Daniel chapter 7 verse 28 hitherto is the end of the matter as for me Daniel my cognition or my understanding was much troubled and my countenance changed within me I think he went as wide as a ghost but I kept the matter in my heart who would you 2600 years ago who would you share this with he kept it in his heart he wrote it in a book his complexion changed you know what he was deeply disturbed by what he's seen but as he saw the little horn do his worst he saw the son of man coming on the clouds of heaven and he's seen the saints of every generation and of every country and of every language possessing the kingdom do you realize there's an hour where we're going to reign and rule with Jesus Christ and it's here in Daniel's prophecy do you realize there's an hour where man's kingdom and man's dominion a man's government comes to an end and it's going to end forever since as we end this bible study we are preparing over the next weeks to look at the last days of world history the last teaching of the lord in specific detail about what's going to happen in our world we have a remarkable book that gives us the details the accurate details of everything that is going to happen no other book in the world is a prophecy book like this and you know what this book says you must be born again you must be right with Jesus Christ you must be washed in the blood of Jesus Christ are you ready to meet Jesus Christ are your sins washed away in the blood of Jesus you see the spirit of prophecy is the revelation of Christ Christ is coming again this Christ who died for sinners is going to come in the clouds of the earth and what a terrible day for sinners what a terrible day of judgment for the nations of the world for the great leaders of the world when Christ comes in all of his fury let's pray together as we close this bible study here tonight the contrast of the little horn and the son of man the contrast of the kingdoms of this world and the kingdom of heaven candice is going to come and just lead us in praise here and worship as we adore the lord Jesus Christ we're going to sing together as we close let thy kingdom come amen ======================================================================== Video: https://sermonindex2.b-cdn.net/PrIC8tsye1U.mp4 Source: https://sermonindex.net/speakers/keith-malcomson/the-rise-and-fall-of-the-little-horn/ ========================================================================
