======================================================================== (CLIP) THE MAN-CENTERED AMERICAN GOSPEL by K.P. Yohannan ======================================================================== Summary: This sermon emphasizes the need to refocus on the centrality of Jesus Christ in the church, highlighting the damage caused by making man the center instead of Christ. It calls for a return to humility, reverence for the Word of God, and exalting Christ as the one who sits on the throne, as seen in passages like Isaiah 6 and Revelation 4 and 5. The message challenges the tendency to define the gospel based on personal benefits rather than true surrender to Christ, urging a rediscovery of Jesus as the sole focus of faith and devotion. Topics: "Centrality of Christ", "Humility and Reverence" Scripture References: Isaiah 6:1, Revelation 4:2, Revelation 5:6, Matthew 11:28, Philippians 1:21 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ DESCRIPTION ------------------------------------------------------------------------ This sermon emphasizes the need to refocus on the centrality of Jesus Christ in the church, highlighting the damage caused by making man the center instead of Christ. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ CONTENT ------------------------------------------------------------------------ My concern for the church at large, where I think my brother said something so brilliant, I'm weary and tired as I travel through 40, 50 nations where the American gospel has caused so much damage that the man has become the center of the people of God. I think if you remove the pulpit and the expert explanations, and somehow his humility, his demeanor and the word of God and sacrament portrays him. He sits on the throne. And finally, you find two significant passages, Isaiah 6, where nobody's important, the one who sits on the throne. Revelation 4 and 5, the lamb that sits on the throne after he was slain, and everybody falls down and worship him. I think we have become helpers of trying to define the gospel when Jesus says, come to me. And the disciples, young people, we are not pointing people to him, but the gospel is such that how can I be a moral, nice, upright person, great family, health and wealth, and finally go to heaven? And that is not Christ. And somehow we need to rediscover the only thing that matters is the Lord Jesus Christ. And for him, I renounce my sin. For him, I'm willing to die. And that's all I look for. And I'm so concerned about the shepherds and teachers in our church that do not know him. They do not know him. They do not know him. ======================================================================== Video: https://sermonindex2.b-cdn.net/dPnJPYjqNGE.mp4 Source: https://sermonindex.net/speakers/kp-yohannan/clip-the-man-centered-american-gospel/ ========================================================================
