I am so glad we are here tonight. Please be seated. Okay, good. Well, good evening. It's so wonderful to see my dear, precious children. I hope you are happy to see me. I am happy. I am so glad my Achan is with me to say what I say in Hindi language. I am so glad my Achan is with me to say what I say in Hindi language. So, tonight, I do not know how many of you understood what we had on the screen about the Lord Jesus Christ. I do not know how many of you understood what we had on the screen about the Lord Jesus Christ. I imagine most of you did understand. I imagine most of you did understand. The only thing that makes sense to life that we have 50, 60, 70, 80, 90 years, it is the Lord Jesus Christ. The only thing that makes sense to life that we have 50, 60, 70, 80, 90 years, it is the Lord Jesus Christ. And I want you to know, whatever I say to you tonight is out of the most heartfelt love and concern I have for you. And whatever I say to you tonight is out of the most heartfelt love and concern I have for you. I do not think about how I can get some money from you. I do not think about how great a medical doctor or IAS officer or prime minister of the country you will become. I do not think about how great a medical doctor or prime minister of the country you will become. I do not think about that. I only think about how I am going to see you in eternity. I only think about how I am going to see you in eternity. I loved my father and my mother very much. I loved my father and my mother very much. My mother was a saint. And for three days I could not eat or drink after she died. But she is gone. She is now sitting with Jesus. And once in a while I talk to her. And I tell her, My mother, I have been talking to Jesus about a lot of things. You please tell him also. But she is no more here. This is your life. This is my life. I was 17 when I left my home to North India to serve my Lord Jesus Christ. I was 17 when I left my home to North India to serve my Lord Jesus Christ. Now I am 68. But in my mind I am still 18. But that is not true. You see my beard. And you are so blessed. I see all the black hair. I see all the black hair. I cannot imagine 6,000 black heads sitting in front of me. I cannot imagine 6,000 black heads sitting in front of me. You are so blessed. So what I tell you, It is not a command or a requirement or my demand. It is not a command or a requirement or my demand. Out of pure love I say those things to you. Out of pure love I say those things to you. And I pray that you will listen very carefully with your mind. And I pray that you will listen very carefully with your mind. There are two realities we all have to deal with. There are two realities we all have to deal with. One is emotions, second the mind. One is emotions, second the mind. For example, you love a boy or a girl. For example, you love a boy or a girl. And your dad or mom says, My son, that is not a good idea. My son, that is not a good idea. Your mom says that is not a good idea. And in your head you know that it is the truth. And in your head you know that it is the truth. But your emotions say, I love her. I love him. And he does not know what to do. It is a tug of war going on. It is a tug of war going on. Some of you are going through the same experience now. Some of you are going through the same experience now. Because when I was studying in the 10th grade, there was a girl in my class. there was a girl in my class. I liked her so much. I dreamed about marrying her. I dreamed about marrying her. And I will walk by the river side just to see her. I know her name. She was beautiful. There's no one I liked more than her. But in my head, and you, this could not happen. But my heart, my emotions, and we all go through that. And all of you are young people, between 15 and 25 years old. And you have so many affections. But please listen to me. I'm not only an older man, but I walk in the same journey you walk through. I still have those emotions. I still have those feelings. But we have to choose what is right. So I speak to you not just as a metropolitan, but someone who understands you. But if you don't listen carefully, if you don't think carefully, religion will become only feelings. Religion and spirituality are only feelings that are dangerous. It is both feelings and reasonable. So I speak to you with that understanding. And tonight you saw a brilliant explanation about the Lord Jesus Christ. And believe it or not, I personally was in the meeting when he spoke that message. And I was crying. This is my Lord Jesus Christ. Nothing in the world is important. Only my Lord Jesus is important. And you need to think for yourself. Because when life is over, your father and mother will not be with you. Your friends will not be with you. You alone have to be responsible for your life. And all of you are intelligent people. Many of you I talked to. I looked into your eyes. I know you are smart. Some of the smartest people on earth are from the tribal communities. You know why? Jesus was a tribal. He was from the tribe of Judah. I am proud that I belong to him. And so I speak to you knowing that you are thinking. But the question is this. What is the meaning of life? Why are we here? One time I asked a young boy in Jammu and Kashmir. Why do you live? I mean, he answered all my questions. The final question. Why do you live? And he didn't answer me. It took a long time. And finally he said, Sir, why do I live to die? Is that the end of life? No. Life is a classroom. This is where we are trained to live for eternity. And so we are responsible. You are responsible. And so I speak to you as a grown up adult, thinking about your life. And tonight, what is the important thing? It is not the time we live in. The house, the cars, the land, and the marriage, the children, education, degrees, and what people think about us. None of those things has any meaning. What only makes sense is what happens after our life on earth. Why do I say that? See, here's a problem. In many families, we buy electronic items. It's a blender in the kitchen. Or a motorcycle. Or a 21-speed bicycle. Or whatever you buy. Or a computer. Or iPhone. You know what we do? We don't think about the instructions. That's my problem. And I work at all. It don't work. And then I realize, I'm a stupid man. Let me read the book. The instructions, how and what I must do with it. You do that. We'll do that. I got a 21-speed bicycle. And I tried to ride it. And I didn't read anything about it. Nothing worked. Then I read the instructions. You cannot change a gear on a bicycle unless you are riding it. You cannot change a gear on a bicycle unless you are riding it. This is our life. God tells us the instructions in his book. And the orthodox fathers told us 400 years what Jesus meant about our life. But the church many times forget it. That is a problem we have in India. There was a famous missionary who lived in India. His name was Dr. E. Stanley Jones. He was a dear friend of Mahatma Gandhi. One time they met after a meeting in Delhi at the St. John's College. And Dr. Stanley Jones asked Mahatma Gandhi, this was St. Stephen's College, and Gandhi asked, no, the doctor, the missionary asked the question, E. Stanley Jones, Gandhiji, what must we do to get all the Indians to follow Jesus Christ? Gandhiji, what must we do to get all the Indians to follow Jesus Christ? Here is a foreigner asking an Indian. And Mahatma Gandhiji said, Dr. Jones, there is only one thing, all India will follow Jesus. And Dr. Jones asked, Gandhiji, what is that? Mahatma Gandhiji said, if the Christians of India live as Jesus lived, you don't need to preach it to anyone. You don't need to do any missionary work. All Indians will follow this Jesus. Think about that. This is a real story. You read that in the book. So if all of us live as Jesus lived, without saying a word, everyone will follow this Jesus. Think about that. That's about your life. About my life. The question is this, do we really want that? Do we really want to live as Jesus lived? It will cost us some price. Tonight, I challenge you, as my dear children, to be willing to pay the price to live as Jesus lived. But the question remains, why do we live? Why do I live? What is the meaning of life? From the beginning of time, philosophers asked the question, and people answered a thousand ways. But even today, we ask the same question, what is the meaning of life? Why do I live? Is there a difference between me and a cow, and a donkey, and a donkey? There is. Why? Because you are created by God in His image. Regardless of caste, creed, or religion, or language, or how handsome you are, how ugly you are, you are created by the living God. I didn't make it up. You read that in the first book of the Bible. Genesis 1, verse 26. It says there, God made man to reflect His image. Now you look at these lights. I am certain there is 220 volt current running through these wires. I know it is true. Because we have a station here. It is our own station. But, if it is 110, it will be dim. If it is 50 watts, less light. If it is 10 watts, you hardly can see. So when God made Adam and Eve, His purpose was that Adam and Eve would reflect His image. They were sinless. They were perfect. Think about it. Now you look at me as an older man. I am 68 years old. But there was a time I was a one month old baby. Two months old baby. You were like that. You didn't wear any clothes. I am telling the truth. Now you look so perfect. Underwear, pant and shirt and everything. There was a time when you were like this. But let me ask you. Did you have one hand at that time? No. You had two little hands. And two little hands. And one little head. But two little eyes. And one small mouth. And you didn't speak any big languages. You were a little baby. And your mother could carry that in one hand. And inside you, your heart, your lungs, your liver, your kidneys. You were perfect. That was 18 years ago. 20 years ago. 25 years ago. But look at you now. You don't walk around naked. You all look so handsome. But you forget you were a one month old baby. You were perfect at that time. No one said to you, He is a monkey. He is a little cow. No. They said, What a beautiful child. You were perfect. And you didn't speak one word. Now you speak. Now you talk. Now you are a philosopher. You think. You answer questions. Where do they come from? And you answer. What is your name? You answer. What do you know? You answer. And if somebody says to you something wrong, you will say, You are wrong. Why? You are the same person. Think about the sun. The morning it rises up in the east. And look at it. It is so beautiful. So beautiful. But then, it rises. And rises. Until 12 o'clock. And you try to look at it. You can't. It is so bright. This is exactly what you read about man when he created Adam and Eve. Why God created us? Why you created you? What is the meaning of life? It is to reflect his image. So the scripture says, God made man to reflect his image. So when you are a baby, when you are a baby, you are a child, you are perfect. But, when you grow up, you reflect larger and bigger. This is exactly the reality of spiritual life. Listen to me. Carefully. You are not made for time but for eternity. Just like you go to school. You go to kindergarten. In the first grade. Second grade. Third grade. And tenth grade. Twelfth grade. Is that your life? Then you go to college. Does the college end your life? No! Your life is only there for the training. We have a beautiful school here. Two thousand plus students study there. I have a dear friend. When he had a child, that little boy was put in the kindergarten. Then he grew up. He became the student in the upper kindergarten. Then he went to first grade. Then second grade. Then even tenth grade. Twelfth grade. And he passed. And now, he is in medical college. He will be there for four years. Or five years. Then he will become a medical doctor. You see what I am talking about? Our life on earth is just like that. Whatever you go through, this only classroom where we grow and grow and grow and reflect the life of God. How does that happen? I want you to think with your mind. Not just with emotions. I wish I could talk to you one to one. We as human beings, we have three things that we possess. One, our body. This is the taste, the cardboard taste. Within us, there is a mind or the soul. But deeper than that, there is a spirit. We have three parts. The body, the soul and the spirit. And the spirit is where God installed and instilled his life. But our great-great-great grandfather and grandmother, Adam and Eve, they made a bad choice. They made a wrong choice. They wanted their mind, their soul and their body to become the most important thing. We still have the same problem. Your mind is working. I want to do this. I don't want to do this. That soulish, our mind, our will is still within us. But deep within us, there is a vacuum. There is emptiness. Darkness. What happened? When they sinned, when they disobeyed God, the candle went out. The candle went out. Darkness. That is now seen in all the misery, the sickness and demon possession and the chaos and the abuse and the suffering we have in our world. And God loves us. He loves all people. Why? He made us in his image. And one of the realities is that he gave us the freedom to choose to love him or disobey him. Our great grandfathers, Adam and Eve, chose to disobey God. And when Jesus came, he is called the second Adam. God himself incarnates as a human being. It is beyond our imagination. I cannot explain it. It is a mystery beyond our intellect. God became a man. You read that in 1 Timothy 3.16. It says there, the mystery of godliness is so great that God became flesh. There is no doubt that the mystery of godliness is so great that the body that appeared became flesh. The disciples asked Jesus, We just want one thing. Please show us the father. Please show us the god. And Jesus said, If you have seen me, you have seen the father. God chose to become one like us. Why? To make us like him. That is the only reason. How could he do that? Because we have ruined our life. We have sinned and failed. And that sickness must be healed. There is no answer for man's sin sickness. The only answer is the antidote, the pure holy blood of God himself. And he was born of Virgin Mary. I am not a Protestant. I don't believe in western religion. They say, Virgin Mary is a woman. You read the Bible. Of all the people on earth, God found one young girl. She was one hundred percent hungering after God. And God sent his angel to visit her. And the angel came to her and said, You are the most blessed on earth. The almighty God saw you with all the problems in life. You are the daughter of Adam and Eve. But with your mind, with your emotions, you want to be his. And God sent me to you. You are chosen to be the mother of God. And God now incarnate through Virgin Mary. And Jesus was born. I told this earlier. Some people ask, How can Jesus be sinless and pure blood if he was born of a woman? The orthodox fathers of faith told us this. Why? God himself told them that. Jesus told them that. Now science tells us that. When a woman carries a child, the mother's blood never mingles with the baby. She was conceived of the pure life, uncreated life of God. So Jesus said, Anyone among you can show me their sin about me. He was sinless. He was from sin. But he was a man. He was tempted with everything you and I are tempted with. When he saw a young girl, he was tempted with sexual temptation. When he saw a rich man's palace, he was tempted to have all the riches and thousands of temptations. But he chose not to yield to temptation. Adam had the same choice. But Adam failed. But the second Adam, the Lord Jesus Christ, God in flesh, said no. And he said, I say nothing. I do nothing. I go nowhere unless my father tells me. Jesus lived 33 and a half years on this earth. And it says in the book of St. Peter, Jesus suffered for us leaving this example that we may follow in his footsteps. What is the suffering he's talking about? It's the cross, the nails, the blood, and the beating. No. No. If somebody wants to kill me and stab me and shoot me, it's okay, I'll die in 5 minutes. But Jesus, he suffered all his life. What was the suffering? It is more than physical. That was the last final thing. Young people, listen to me. In your conscience, where God speaks, it's wrong. Don't do it. But did you listen to it? Your parents said it. But did you listen to it? No. You did it what you wanted. You lied about things. But Jesus was not like that. He chose only to do what the father asked him to do. What is that? That is suffering. For example, if my father comes to me and tells me so many bad things. Metropolitan, you are a devil. You are evil. You do this. You do that. I hate you. If I could, I could kill you. I hear all that. And I say in my heart, my father, I love you. You don't know what you are talking about. And then my father asks, Metropolitan, you smile. You are no problem. I hate you. Then I say to him, Father, I love you. And he is confused. He says, I don't understand what you are talking about. Then Metropolitan says, Oh, I love you so much. Can I give you a hug? He says, what? I hate you. I love you. And I hug him. He is Jesus. Nobody understands. Because inside mechanism is mind and emotions. It is God. It is God. This is the reason why God made you and me. And that's the reason Jesus said, I only do what my father tells me. What does it cost? It costs suffering. To obey your parents. It takes suffering. To obey God. It takes suffering. You think about it. We all have strong will within ourselves. I want my way. Go to hell. I don't care about you. What does Jesus say? What did Jesus say? Come. Learn from me. I am humble. I am broken. I am lowly. Take my yoke upon you. And learn from me. Young people, you are so brilliant. Let me tell you a story, a real story of Saint Anthony. He was as old as AD 295. He was 18 years old. Born in Egypt. He went to church. And he heard the priest preach God's word. And the priest was preaching on Saint Paul, Saint Peter. And Jesus said to him, forsake all. Give up all. Love me. And follow me. Then he heard about Saint John. Follow me. Love me more than anything. Young Anthony. He was a millionaire. His parents just died a few months ago. He had only one sister. She was younger than him. And he heard this. And he decided. This is Christ, my Lord, calling me to follow him. And he took his crores and his millions and gave to the poor. And he kept some money to take care of his young sister. But then he read in the scripture forsake all and follow me. And he said to himself I have not forsaken my sister. I have not forsaken the money I am saving in the bank. I have not forsaken my life. I have not forsaken my ambitions. And he decided to forsake all. And took some money and gave to a woman and said please take care of my sister. Care for her. Educate her. And he left to the desert. For 15 years he was alone in the cave. What he was doing? He wanted to follow Christ. Life on earth had no meaning. He wanted to be like Christ. After 15 years he came out of the cave. People hearing about him they brought some food to him. And he survived. Alone in the cave. He lived as though he was dead. He was the first father of the monastic orders in the east. Later came Saint Benedict from the west. You must get a book on the life of Saint Anthony. I read it. I wept. I cried. I said, God I want that. But I am so far from it. I want to know you. I want to be like Jesus. Please help me. Here is a man who chose to be like Jesus. Nothing he wanted. Just Jesus. What does that mean? To live on earth as God intended man to live. This is the reason I don't like western theology. This is the reason I don't like protestant theology. This is the reason I don't like charismatic theology. What do they do? They tell us your mind, your life, your flesh, your life on earth is more important. God will give you money and house and cars and bless you. This is opposite of what Jesus taught. In India we have lot of people doing that. They follow this fake antichrist false prophet in the western countries. I warn you. You are intelligent. Read the scripture and save your life. Because one of these days everything you hold on to will be gone. You are walking in eternity. But the question what shape you are going to be in. Will you be like Jesus or be like the devil? That is your choice. Saint Anthony was 18 years old. Now, what are we talking about? What is our life all about? What is the meaning of our life? It says in 1 John 3.16 and 1 John 2.6 and 1 John 4.17 and so many verses. Romans say 28 and 29 and 1 Timothy 3.16 Read all these verses. You know what does it say? We are supposed to be living now as Jesus lived on earth. But the question is this. How can we do it? How can this be? It is impossible. That is what Brother Mary asked. Angel, you are telling me this? I am not married. You are telling me I am going to be pregnant? The angel said by the Holy Spirit. It is a mystery God will do. A question that is not asked. Mary will you say yes or no? Mother Mary said May it be so as my God decides. Here I am. Surrender my life. I make no choice. Let it be so. Young people I was 17 years old. I was in Bangalore. Heard somebody speak and he said Will you surrender your life completely and all your future to Jesus and Him alone? It was a big question. And I didn't have anything to give. I only had a skinny body. I had no college education. I had no money like Saint Anthony. But still I was struggling. I had my dreams. I didn't sleep that night. Early morning hours I was kneeling by my bedside. In Bangalore. Beside a church. A little room. This is what I said. Lord Jesus I have nothing to give you. I have nothing. But you are asking me to give my life. Give it to you. But I am scared. I am afraid. I don't know what to do. But if you give me the strength I will give all. That's all I have. And that's what my prayer was. And I remember laying down to sleep and I slept for 2 hours. And I woke up in the morning. It's like I slept 20 hours. I was full of life. Something happened in my heart. The next day I went to the Shivaji Nagar bus station. I saw thousands of people. I started weeping. I started looking at people. Jesus died for them. I don't know what to do. I want all of them to know this Jesus. I love them all. And I said to myself what happened to you? My heart was changed. My feelings changed. And I cried and cried. The next few weeks every day I went to the street. I didn't know any Hindi. I didn't know any English. But the little language I knew I spoke to people. I gave the gospel tracts. And I spoke to the beggars. And I hugged them. Something happened. I gave my life to Him. I am 68 years old. I still on this journey. Many times I weep and cry and go to sleep. I think of the people I met in Nepal and Bangladesh in slums of India and different parts of the world. What happened? Jesus took my life. And I love them. Not because I want to. He took my life. That's the reason I love all people. I don't hate any religion. All of them are my brothers and sisters. And I tell our priests in your village in your township when you hear somebody die whether Muslim or Hindu or atheist you be the first one to go to their home and help them and pray for them. I love them. That is God. Young people listen to me. This is God's plan for your life. And many churches many independent groups they are false prophets. They are all after making money and name for themselves. Don't be deceived by that. And we are called to follow Jesus. And I wish I could tell you for next three hours about this. There is a book I wrote called Theosis. It is based on 2 Peter 1 verse 4. It is the most precious verse you can read. It says there the reason for God calling us and the purpose of it. And that is that we in our body and our soul and our entire life we may reflect God's image. How? Partake of His divine nature I am so proud of my father. I was born in a village 14 kilometers from here. And people still say if anyone ever lived in my village who never lied it was my father. I am so proud of him. And some people said this to me. We know why you are like this. Your father was like this. Remember that. Some of you even if the world will give you everything you will not compromise because you remember your father and your mother. This is true. You know this. You cannot do otherwise. The same thing with us. Partake in His nature. If you take my blood and check it and take my father's blood my grandfather's blood and great grandfather's blood you will find the same DNA. When we become born again when we yield our life to Christ when we give our life to Jesus the blood of Christ changes our DNA. I don't really like the word born again. That is a western protestant word. Jesus said that in John's gospel chapter 3. But in chapter 6 He said half a dozen times six times unless you eat my flesh unless you drink my blood you are not part in me. What is the importance of the Eucharist? What is the importance of the Holy Communion? We recognize Christ is now, now, now before me. Christ is now, now, now for me. We say Jesus here I am. My body my soul my spirit I surrender to you. So how do we partake His nature? I told you about the sun. It rises up in the morning. It rises up. And the bible says the way of the godly is like the sun shining bright. I told you how old I am. But consciously my journey started when I was 16. But consciously my journey started when I was 16. What does that mean? The way I treat myself the way I treat others the way I forgive others the way I love others the way I forgive others there are people in my life that did terrible things to me. They betrayed me like Judas like Judas but I don't hate them. and I say dear father, forgive them for they do not know what they are doing. And when I meet beggars And when I meet beggars people with leprosy I don't think they are bad. I say to myself I say to myself for the grace of God the love of God, I am that person, I am that person, see how we love other people, I couldn't create it for myself, as we grow older, we become more like Jesus, I am a Metapolitan, 35 lakhs people all over the world follow me, when I see my father like this, he is much younger than me, and many others, thousands of them, I don't feel bad about them, someday I wish they would be the leaders, I don't want to be a Metapolitan, I want my young brothers to come up, my young sisters to come up, there are many Mother Teresa sitting here, and many Metapolitans, many medical doctors, many engineers, many Prime Ministers, but God will lift you up, you let God do what he chooses to do, don't fight your war, you say father here I am, Jesus here I am, whatever you want, that's all I want, when you make the decision, your future is secure, what is your future, it is not 50 years, it is not 100 years, it is eternity without time, a billion, trillion, crores of years will not be even the beginning of time, and today, what is the most important thing, it is not what we say, how smart we are, but something people feel and know who we are on the inside, these are dangerous days, there are many false prophets, going around creating miracles, Moses had to deal with that, and they threw the stick and they became snakes, and Pharaoh said, our magicians can do the same thing, our religion can do the same thing, although nothing super great, but only in the end, the snakes that became as a result of the miracle from Moses walking cane, swallowed up all other snakes, there are Indian preachers, Indian false prophets, who only want to make money for themselves, they live in houses worth crores, they ride in the best cars, I am not against them, that is not my problem, but if that is about Jesus, even the church, he had no money to give offering, and he died homeless, he had only one cloth, if that is Jesus, that is the real Jesus of the Bible, all over India, there are false prophets rising up, all they talk about is money, give your money, you get more money, that is what the devil says, I rather have nothing in my life, and die as nobody, and be escorted to heaven, as they did with the Lazarus, and the rich famous individual, this is the teaching of the believers in the Eastern church, this is what you see in our fathers, this is what you see in our bishops, this is what you see in your metropolitan, you are a thinking young person, you are not a fool, please be warned, the only real thing is the Lord Jesus Christ, he is real, he is more real than me, he is more real than my father, he is more real than this podium, and he will talk to you, tonight is your opportunity, 18 years old, 16 years old, 20 years old, thousands of you, just like Saint Anthony, you can say, dear Jesus, I am here, all I want is you and only you, I embrace you, I want nothing else, and he is waiting for you, like the father who waits for his son, that is what you read about Mother Teresa, a 17 year old girl, born in Europe, saying to Jesus, my Lord Jesus, all I want is you, and my holy church, and here I am, now you know what you did, this can be your life, but the choice and the choice is yours, you have no other option, either the Lord Jesus, and the holy church, or your own life, I pray, you will make the right decision, and I know you will, I love you with all my heart, you are my son, you are my daughter, and I want to see you in heaven, shining as bright sun, if so, make the choice now, and I pray you will, may the blessings of our father, the Lord Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit, be with you as you make the decision, Amen. ======================================================================== Video: https://sermonindex2.b-cdn.net/vTWc_QQmqdA.mp4 Source: https://sermonindex.net/speakers/kp-yohannan/theosis-making-jesus-lord/ ========================================================================
