I've heard people say, oh, I heard a man of God say, I asked him, do you
pray? And the answer was, no, no, I'm always in prayer. That's not what
the Bible teaches. So listen carefully.

The secret place is the breeding ground for the abiding life. In John
15, for the sake of time, we don't have to turn there, but Jesus said
that we are to abide in him and his words in us. And if that happens,
whatever we ask, he will do it.

And that one has thrown people off so many times. It's like, wait, is he
saying there if I ask for the Bentley with 24s on it and my name
engraved in the back, I can just do that and I'll get it? No, no, no.
What happens is, is when his words abide in you and you abide in him,
you ask for the right stuff at the right time because a relationship has
been birthed in secret.
