It calls for humility, submission to God's authority, and genuine love as essential aspects of a believer's life. The speaker shares personal testimonies of miraculous interventions and the power of calling on the name of the Lord in times of trouble. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ CONTENT ------------------------------------------------------------------------ I'm thinking of a verse that says, it is appointed for men to die once, and after this, the judgment. And we, believers and unbelievers alike, we have an appointment at the great white throne where you have to stand before the judgment seat and give an answer to the things done in the body, whether good or evil. But the scripture does say that now is the time for judgment to begin at the household of God. And it says, it begins with us first, says in 1 Peter. And what will be the end of those who don't obey the gospel? I was thinking of a time in my life when I used to train in judo and jujitsu for a period of time. And I was going tournaments before I was born again. I was backslidden. I knew the Lord when I was 12, through my teenage years. And then I fell away and my dad fasted and prayed for me for 40 days. At the end of that, the Lord had mercy on me, drew me back to himself. I was able to humble myself. I never would confess sin. I'd always try to pray and ask Jesus to forgive me of my sin, but I never had power over sin. And I was training in this, trying to seek to save my life. And I was in a certain bracket and I was fighting for some perishable gold medal thing. And the guy flipped me and dropped me on my head. And on my way home, I began to have a lot of pain. And I didn't know if my neck was broken. I ended up that night in the hospital and I met this man. His name was Jonathan Burnley, the doctor. He gave me an injection, Demerol, so I could bear through it. And the Lord had mercy on me. I didn't break my neck. And then I got born again a short time after that. And then when I got born again, all I wanted to do was talk about Jesus. Jesus was everything. I mean, when I found repentance and the Lord drew me back to himself, I just wanted to tell everyone the wonderful things that Jesus did for me. Don't ever lose that. That's your first love. I called everybody in my Rolodex. I called everybody in my black book. Everybody who I worked with, whatever job site I was on, I would just tell them what Jesus did for me. I was the boss, so I could do it. I understand if you're a worker and you have responsibilities, you have to do it on your breaks. Or as the spirit leads, if your boss is gracious. But that's the wonderful works of God that I could share, that I was dead in trespasses and sins, and he made us alive. But then begins the journey of sanctification. He sets us apart for a purpose, so that we can become useful to him. So he deals with the sin issue. He takes away sin, and he sees us just as if we never sinned. And it's like the John Bunyan. He just pulls that burden off your back. And I felt like 50 pounds lighter driving home from that meeting that night. I had no idea my dad was praying for me. I had no idea of these things, that someone had made a sacrifice of love. And that God is a God who hears. He's not dead. He's not like the bale on vacation. No, he's a God who hears. We don't have to cut ourselves in scream and jump up and down. We have to call on the name of the Lord. It says, whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved. I don't believe in once saved, always saved. I believe we're being saved. I believe it's a journey and a process. And we have salvation yet to receive. We need to be saved from lust. We need to be saved from bitterness. We need to be saved from resentments, from greed. We need to be saved from the works of the flesh, which are evident from scriptures. Galatians five, Ephesians five speaks of some of them. And we need to overcome. We look at all those seven churches, speaks of an overcoming people. In all those churches, they had things that he was pleased with. There were things he was disappointed with, except for maybe one of them, the persecuted church. There was a faithful church there. But in the end, he says, he who has ears to hear, to him who overcomes. To him who overcomes. Of all these individual churches all over the place, there is one church that has never been divided. It's complete and being built up into a spiritual house in the spirit. Jesus being the cornerstone, Jesus being the rock where he tells Peter, on this rock, I will build my church. Jesus being the rock on which the whole house stands, the cornerstone and the capstone, the alpha and the omega, he says in Revelation one. I am who was, who is, who is to come. Recently, I heard this doctor, I got on fire for Jesus and not even the doctor who gave me the Demerol shot. I texted him and he took time to meet me for coffee. I met him two or three times. And I told him of the wonderful works of God, what Jesus did for me. And I told him he could repent and be born again. You know, recently, Dan told me yesterday that he heard news that his, this Jonathan Burns was in his fifties. He passed away from COVID. I don't know the circumstances of it. But I thought, you know what? We have a day of visitation. There's a time and a window for each one of us where God is merciful to us. And we get this revelation that there's something greater than everything going on around us. There's something greater than our pursuit for money and for fame and for attaining all that we can and counting everything we can get. And that there's a God out there that we have to answer to. And our conscience tells us that. And our pursuit for finding God and finding true righteousness, peace, and joy, it only comes through Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. And I thought, as I laid in my bed this morning about that man, I liked him. Seemed a sincerity about him. But it's not good enough to have a sincerity. It's not good enough to have good intentions and to say, well, you know what? I'm a good person. And it's only good enough that we receive that garment of salvation and that robe of righteousness. That we're clothed with Christ. And when we're clothed with Christ and we are filled with the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit, then we can become conformed into the image of Jesus. Because without that, we're just a church that has no direction. We have to fix our eyes on Jesus. The author and the perfecter of our faith. Yes, we have to add to our faith. We can have childlike faith. We have to add to it. Virtue, knowledge, and on from there. But for us, it's important not to lose that childlike faith. Because he goes back to receiving love. And then he says, if these things are yours and abound. In other words, this is the life cycle. Increasing, growing from faith to faith. Growing in grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ. So we don't become spiritual cripples. And just stay on milk and not come to solid food. You know, we talked a few weeks ago about young men. We talked about little children. We talked about old men. You know, the problem with teenagers. I have a number of them. I've had some and I have a number of them. The problem is rebellion. And you get into those years of rebellion. And the scripture says, in 1 Samuel 15, that rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft and stubbornness. Where you just dig your heels in. You won't relent. Like iniquity and idol worship. We would say, well, we wanna have nothing to do with witchcraft and idol worship. We're not for that. But you know what? We won't submit to anyone. We're led by the Holy Spirit. And a lot of times what happens is the young men, they're strong and the word of God abides in them. What can happen is they can become one of those men of renown that resisted Moses. Like Dothan and Korah. And they can perish in the rebellion of Korah. I wanna read a little bit from Jude. In Jude, verse five, it says, I wanna remind you, though you once knew this, that the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, he afterwards destroyed those who did not believe. But you know that he who endures to the end shall be saved. He called us out of darkness and he conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of his love. But we have to continue to look to him and be radiant so that our faces aren't ashamed. And those whom he called out of Egypt who were in bondage, he delivered them by a mighty hand and an outstretched arm. And they brought them through the Red Sea and saw the enemy perish. And they sang the salvation song. The horse and rider had been thrown into the sea. It was a type of baptism that they experienced. But God led them through the wilderness. And there it was that they grumbled and they complained. And then they rose up against Moses. Time and time again, these men, these leaders that were put in positions of authority, rose up against Moses and said, we hear from God also. Why do you lord it over us? So Moses wasn't lording over them, he was leading them. But they felt he was lording it over them. And you know what we say, we gotta break free from this guy. We hear from God also. And it's important that when we start to hear from God, this is a good thing, that we do not become proud and conceited and puffed up. Doesn't matter what measure you attain to, you associate with the lowly. You don't lord it over people. When we go to the Joshua house or we went to the vision quest, the thing, the number one thing, we might not have had our words all right. We might not have had everything perfect in how we led our singing and some of the notes weren't so good. And maybe we'd stumble a bit on our words. We were in a zealot kind of speech. But those men knew at the end of it, that there was something different about those men because they spoke with authority. They didn't speak like the other men. And they had the love of Jesus. They had authority when they spoke and they had the love of Jesus. When the crowds were following Jesus, what happened? They followed him. And then even the centurions, and they sent them to go and arrest Jesus. And they come back, well, where's Jesus? Well, no one ever spoke like this guy. What do you mean? You believe in him also? When he spoke, he had the words of eternal life. And we wanna have that anointing. It's the anointing that breaks the yoke. That authority comes from God. And Jesus said to Peter, who do men say that I am? Well, some say Elijah, some say John Baptist, some say this, some say that. Who do you say that I am? You're the Christ. You're the son of the living God. He says, flesh and blood hasn't revealed it to you, Peter, but my father in heaven. And he said on this rock, the revelation that Jesus is the Christ, that he is the foundation and the church is being built up into a spiritual tabernacle in him. And he says, I'm gonna give you some keys. The keys are the kingdom I'm giving to you, Peter. He gave Peter authority in the church. And he's given some to be apostles and some prophets and some evangelists and some teachers and some pastors. He gives gifts to men. But that's not how we discern a true prophet from a false prophet. He says, you'll know them by their fruits. You might not have everything perfect, but when you come in a place and you're right with God in your secret life, you're right with God in your walk with him, then the love of God is gonna emanate from you. I don't care how righteous you try to make it. If you are not flowing in the love of God, there's a disconnect between you and God. Perhaps you're a Pharisee. Jesus found the Pharisees were against him. They were just like the sons of Korah. They did not like Jesus at all. They were not happy with him. We have to be careful. We don't become rebellious like that in our hearts, that we're submissive one toward another, submitting to the spirit of Christ in one another, not lording it over one another. He goes on to say this. Of those ones that he received from Egypt afterwards, he destroyed them who did not believe. Began in faith, ended up getting an evil heart of unbelief and they departed from God and they wanted to go back to Egypt in their hearts. They wanted to go back to Egypt. We have to guard against that. It can happen when discouragement comes in your life. You come a certain ways, you hear the word, but then when trials come, when temptations come because of the word's sake, they stumble and they fall, being rebellious to the word to which they were appointed to obey and they wither. May the Lord help us that we don't wither because of trials and temptations that come on the journey. And then he says to the angels who didn't keep their proper place, they left their abode, has been reserved for them under chains, under darkness until the day of judgment of that great day as Sodom and Gomorrah and the cities around them in similar manner fell. He says, these, having given them over to sexual immorality and gone after strange flesh and set an example for them suffering the vengeance of eternal fire. These also like dreamers, they defile the flesh, they reject authority, spiritual authority over them in their life. And they speak evil of dignitaries or glorious ones. They speak evil of those that God has put in positions. You know, there is a scripture that says, touch not my anointed and do my prophets no harm. And God put an authority on Saul until he removed him from office. David, when he cut his robe, even his conscience bothered him and Saul was someone where the Holy Spirit had already left him and evil spirits came on him, but he was in an office, just like the high priest was in an office when Paul says to him, God will smite you, you whitewashed wall. And he says, you talk to the high priest like that. He said, I did not know. We have to respect the office that God has. We might not like the things that they're doing, but we have to make sure that it's God who promotes us, not us who rises up and challenges the authority of God. And I say, you test the fruit and you examine it. And if you're in a group where the word of God is not being preached, then find a place where it is. But I'm saying, if there's someone that God has given authority and you start to speak evil against them, you start to judge them, you'll be judged and pressed down, shaken together and running over is gonna get poured into your bosom, given or it'll be given back to you according to the measure you use. He says, why do you look at the speck in your brother's eye and you don't take the beam out of your own? First get the beam out and then we can exhort one another, encourage one another. It's not that we don't deal with sin, we have to do things in the right way, in a humble way. Samuel exhorted Eli. You get it in a way because God put his word in his mouth. If you're going to rebuke somebody, make sure you have God's word in your mouth when you do it, then God will back you up. If you're going on your own authority, you're gonna have trouble. You're gonna have to deal with God. You don't wanna tell you something about true, false and prophets. A true prophet don't call himself a prophet. He might say that God spoke to me and he gave me a word and I proclaimed his word. When Amos, they said, well, go you seer, we don't wanna hear your words anymore. And he says, I wasn't a prophet and I wasn't no son of no prophet, but I was leading the sheep and I was tending sycamore fruit. And all of a sudden God revealed to me on the way his word and he told me to proclaim or prophesy my words. And he said, I just went and delivered the message. And this is what God says. But today there's a famine in the land. There's a famine, not of bread or of water. Costco is full and Superstore is full. But it's of hearing the true word of the Lord. And people are running the meetings and they're going to conferences and they're going here and there and we can get some encouragement, but we need to hear from the Holy Spirit. What is the spirit saying to the church? I know your works. I know that you're doing all these good things and you hate the Nicolaitans and you stand for what is right and you're able to discern those who are prophets and those who are false prophets. Nevertheless, I have something against you. You left your first love. You stop talking to people about how much you love Jesus. You need to repent and do the first works or I'm gonna remove your witness. You're not gonna be a witness. You're gonna be selling used vacuums that don't work to people who don't need them. You need to find something that you are on fire for Jesus about and you need to testify of what Jesus has done for you. That is your witness. When people see that you believe in this Jesus, you're not peddling him for some purpose. You're not just a Jehovah witness that has to go door to door to do your mantra and to do your duty. This is the most important thing to you. That Jesus is the reason why you get up in the morning, why you live and breathe and have your being in him, in Christ and you don't have to sell it. People see it. People see, man, he's radiating. You are a lampstand. You don't put a lampshade on a lampstand. Everyone can see, I'd say Jesus freak. Boy, that testimony went all out. That guy, he's just radical. Yes, I heard David Wilkerson say, let's be radical and live according to this book. That's what we need to do. Be radical for Jesus. We don't have to drum it up and stir it up. Has to come from within and overflow. He said, out of your innermost being will flow. Maybe you have a little trickle, brother said, but let it flow. If there's sin in there that stopped up your well, start to confess and repent of it and get it out of your life. We're not just trying to get on track a little bit so we can get on with life. No, Jesus has to be your feast. You have to feed on him. The one who feeds on me shall live. Jesus, I am the bread of life. The one who feeds on me shall live. The one who drinks my blood. This one shall have life. And the people who didn't understand these things said, this guy's crazy. And they left and they followed him in the morning. These were disciples. And Jesus looked at the 12 and he said, do you want to go also? He said, master, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life. Jesus had authority. He wasn't worried they were gonna leave. He wasn't gonna try and keep his church big. He was thinning the herd. He was getting the goats out. He wanted to make more room for the sheep. Wasn't so concerned about those who were there for the loaves and for the fishes and for the bread. He was concerned about those who really wanted to change, who really wanted to follow Christ. He fed them all. But he said, listen, if you really wanna have life, come to me and be free. He told Peter, I'm giving you the keys of the kingdom and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven. Whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven. And you know what? When we pray together, where two or three gather together in Jesus' name and we agree according to his will, he hears us. He hears us and we have the petition. You might not see it like Daniel for 21 days, but when you get the petition, you know that your prayer got through and you're waiting for the answer to come. Elijah prayed seven times that it would rain and he kept sending his servant to go check. And when he had the petition, then he went to the king. We need the petition. We need to know in our spirit. I remember the time when Seth was being born. I shared this before. Seth was premature and while my wife was pregnant with him, he's our number eight child. And I had his name before. I said, name him Seth. I didn't even know it was a boy or whatever. And then we found out it was a boy. And I said, well, praise God. Seth, what does it say about Seth? Then men began to call him in the name of the Lord. I said, okay, praise God. So she's in the hospital and she's three weeks early and she started to have complications and man, the heart rate was going down and then all of a sudden I was there and all my blood pressure went up and I started to faint. I says, no, it's time to pray. Unbelief's got me here. I went out in the hallway and I started to pray. Said, Lord, have mercy on this child. You gave me a word. You said, you bring him forth. And I wanna see the salvation of God. I wanna see the miracle of God. And then the nurse said, get the doctor. Some doctor came. There was people there. They said, call the emergency C-section. Get the other person there. And they were calling and they were calling. They said, he's not responding. He's not responding. Nobody's coming. And I just got desperate in prayer. Blood pressure, the heart rate was almost down to zero. And I just called on the name of the Lord because I know my God. And I said, Jesus, help us. And I heard from having a word, that shit was like audible, but I heard it as clear as a bell in my mind. That nurse must've thought I was crazy, but I didn't care because it was life and death. It has to be life and death when it's about Jesus. I heard this, now I shall bring him forth. When I got that petition from heaven, I went straight back into that hotel, into that hospital room there. And I saw the head crowning and coming out and that baby come straight out. In Jesus name, it was a miracle. And then I thought afterwards about this. And his name shall be called Seth. Then men began to call on the name of the Lord. And that's how he came. I was called on the top of my lungs in that hospital in the name of Jesus. And he answered my cry. It says the Lord heard us and answered our cry and delivered us from all our fears. This poor man cried out. And I heard the doctor. I don't know if she was a believer or an unbeliever. I don't know, but she heard me too. Everybody heard me in that ward. She said, look at this is a miracle child. She says, we only had two. And this is one that's lived. And she showed me the umbilical cord. She said, this is a true knot. Like you would take a piece of yarn and tie it in a knot. That umbilical cord was tied as tight as someone could pull a piece of yarn. There was no oxygen going to that brain of that baby. And she said, this is a miracle child. She's hold that thing up to me. I didn't care about all that. All I knew is that baby come out, that baby was alive and that baby was in mom's arms. And I say, I believe in a God who hears. A God who answers by fire. That when we call the name of the Lord, he hears us. You have lost children, you have lost neighbors, you have lost parents, you have lost friends. Get serious and get right with God so that God can hear your prayers. You know, there's a scripture in Jeremiah 23. I wanna read it to you. There's a lot of people who are preachers today. A lot of people that are pastors, a lot of people who've gone to and fro and doing this and that, but they were not sent by God. Some of them decided they'd make a fantastic career out of it. They went to Bible school, they got a job, but they don't have spiritual authority. They might know scriptures, but they don't have the anointing. They don't have the Holy Spirit. So what are you gonna do if you have a fancy car in the driveway that has all the brand new parts and everything just doesn't run? You know what? When I was working in the world, I probably built a couple hundred houses. I built an apartment site. I built a couple townhouses. And you know what? I could tell men go here and go there because I knew authority. And I had people under me and I had people over me. And I understood authority. And I got a lot done as an unbeliever without the Holy Spirit. But you know what? We can't do things that way. We don't just add Jesus to the package. You have to be born again. You have to die to what you can do. And it has to be all from Christ. And I didn't understand that for the longest time. And so the greatest have to become the least and servant of all. I remember time after that, I had hundreds of men underneath me. And then I ended up in a place where I was building this one home. It was pouring rain, there was mud out. And this retaining wall was there. And my brother-in-law had built it and he didn't put enough supports in there. And it was all thick clay. And I was in the pouring rain, digging this thing out. And I never used a shovel for probably 10 years. Like myself. And I'm there just digging this muck out. And I said, Lord, what are you trying to teach me here? I used to be a somebody and now I'm nothing. I'm digging mud. Two days in the rain, digging mud. And at the end of the first day, I'm just dripping and this kid comes and he's got this little girl and she's wearing the shortest skirt and the most immodest clothes. And I say, how are you doing? And I said, how are you doing? And he said, oh, it's the most fantastic day of my life. He says, it's the best day. And I said, Lord, how can it be that here I'm drenched? What is your purpose? What are you trying to teach me here? And here's this young fellow comes here, tells me it's the best day of his life. I said, Lord, you gotta help me to have a good attitude, not to grumble and complain and to learn humility. And what it is you're trying to show me? The next day he comes and he's there walking there and he's hanging his head. And I said, how are you doing? And he says, it's the worst day of my life. Everything went wrong. I said, you come over here. It was pouring rain. So he comes over and I said, what's your name? He says, my name's Caleb. Caleb, I said, that's a Bible name. I said, how do you go from the best day of your life to the worst day of your life in less than 24 hours? I said, you're running from the call of God. And I said, you need to get your heart right with the Lord. I needed to lay off all that sexual morality. I didn't know the boy. I needed to put away all that sexual sin and all that rebellion that's in your heart. And you need to make a decision to turn your life around. Your parents, obviously you're Christian, they named you Caleb. And you needed to return to the Lord, repent and return. And we went for a dinner, I bought him dinner. And I shared with him the cost of coming to Christ. There's no easy believe-ism, guys. There's a cost. If anyone wants to come to me, he has to deny himself. You have to decide, hey, I'm gonna lay off sleeping with women. I'm gonna lay off lying. I'm gonna put away lying, evil speaking and all these things out of my mouth. And I'm gonna put on the Lord Jesus Christ. And he's gonna help me. And if I fail, he's gonna lift me up. There's a cost to count. There's easy believe-ism. Oh, just let's pray this prayer. Say these few words, put a little check mark, sign the little registration. Oh, we got a few today. Oh, we want born again. We don't want members. There's some members of the body of Christ where our names are registered in heaven. That's all that matters. And I told him the cost. And I said, this is the cost. And I said, if you're serious about following Christ, call me. I didn't hear from that boy for six months. Also, one day he called me. He says, I've surrendered my life to Jesus. I'm getting baptized tonight with you and brother so-and-so. Wanna join me in Vancouver? I'd like you to be there. And he went straight from there. And he came and he moved into my house. In one day, he lived with us. We discipled that boy for 18 months. The whole purpose of all these things is to say this. When God does something, it's genuine. When I do something, it's a zero. The spirit gives life and the flesh profits nothing. I'll finish here in Jeremiah 23. And he says in verse 16, thus says the Lord God of hosts, do not listen to the words of the prophets who prophesied to you saying, what? They say worthless things to you and they speak a vision of their own heart and not from the mouth of the Lord. There's a lot of people who go out and they say all kinds of things and they share all kinds of words. They do all kinds of words and knowledge and they say all kinds of wisdom that doesn't come from God. And God didn't send them. They don't speak in whatever wisdom that comes to them from the devil, from their own imaginations, not from the mouth of the Lord. And they continually say to those who despise me, people who are unrepentant, people who are living in sin, people who are not walking according to the word. People are just living and doing what seems best in their own eyes. And this is what these prophets say, these false prophets. They say, the Lord has said to me, you shall have peace even though you walk according to the dictates of your evil heart. In other words, you can do whatever you want and you just pray this prayer and you're on the good. Jesus loves you, of course he loves you. He loved Judas also. He loved him to the end. I bet you loved Lucifer also. And then he fell. But these dreamers, they speak evil of dignitaries. They speak evil of what they don't understand. They're puffed up in pride. Guard against this pride and this rebellion because I tell you, it'll be your downfall. I don't care how much scripture you can memorize. If your heart's full of pride, you're gonna go in there and spend eternity with Satan. Because rebellion is like witchcraft. We need to be humble, humble, humble. That's the words from Joshua House. Humble, humble, and humble. A lot of times these guys are in addiction and doing whatever because they rebel against the authority. And then what happens is pride comes before the fall and haughtiness before destruction. Next thing you know, they're back on the street with a bottle in their hand or shooting in the arm. And this is the end and destruction. A lot of men have perished. But if we can humble ourselves, if we can come under authority, we can submit to the word of God and submit to those who preach and teach the word of God in truth. And they have the love to back it up because love is of God. And everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. If we don't love, we don't know God. So I encourage you, if you don't have love, then get serious, get on a fast, start to pray, and say, Lord, I don't know the love of God which surpasses all this knowledge that I got packed up into my head here. Because there's a big disconnect between the head and the heart. We need the love of God. He told the Pharisees, they were all kinds of knowledge, those guys. Go learn what this means, I desire compassion. Go learn what this means, I desire mercy, not sacrifice. We need the love of God. It's the love of Christ that leads men to repentance, the kindness of the Lord. And then we need the message along with the love to nurture the men to become mighty men of valor like David, raised up these worthless rogues, these 400 men or 600 men to become the mighty men of valor. Men who were in submission under David, they risked their lives to get him some water. He was just talking, he said, oh, if I could just get a drink from that well from Bethlehem or wherever. Those men, they broke through the ranks, through, I think it was Saul's men, and they risked their lives to bring David a jar of water. He poured it out. He said, I can't believe you guys did that. He said, I can't drink that. It's like, it's not what we write of me. You know what? These men loved David because David loved them. And you know what? David had a heart after God. He had his mistakes and he had his sins. We're not talking about that. He repented of those things. God had mercy on him. There were consequences. But you know what? We need to hear from the true prophets of God. The false prophets say this. You shall have peace to everyone who walks according to the rebellion and the dictates of their own heart. Everyone doing whatever seems best. And the false prophets will tell you, you're eternally secure. You're good. You have a robe of righteousness on. You don't have to worry about the prodigal son who had no robe. Once a son, always a son. It doesn't matter he didn't have his ring. Doesn't matter he had no gospel shoes and he couldn't bring any message to anyone. Don't matter about any of that. You're a son. Judas was a son. Lucifer was a son. Son of the dawn. Once a son, always a son. They'd sell you these lies. And they never caused anyone to repent of their wickedness. But he says this. They say, no evil shall come upon you. But this, for who had stood in my counsel, if these people would have stood in my counsel, the counsel of the Lord, and they would have perceived and have listened to my words, he says, they would have repented of their wickedness. They would have repented of their wickedness. He says in 21, I have not sent these prophets yet they ran. I have not spoken to them yet they prophesied. But if they had stood in my counsel, verse 22, and they'd caused my people to hear my words, they would have turned from their sin, their evil ways, and from the evil of their doings. That's what would have happened. Where are the Elijahs? Where are the John Baptists? Where are those who preach the gospel to the poor? When he said, Amos, are you a prophet? He said, I'm no prophet. When they said to John Baptist, are you Elijah? Are you the one to come? He said, I'm not. Are you the prophet? I'm not. A prophet doesn't say he's a prophet. He gets God's word and he proclaims it. It's not an office and a title that is to be boasted of or to be carried around that men line up to hear the word of the Lord, running to and fro. Which of the prophets do they not persecute? Is Jeremiah in a dungeon? Zechariah, they killed between the porch and the altar. I mean, Ezekiel, he said, I'm not gonna speak your words. They're not gonna listen. And then he couldn't hold that word back and he just give it to them because God caused it to rise up in him like a burning fire. We need the prophets of God to rise up and speak the truth and love. Call it as it is. Don't tell me the way I wish it was. Tell me like it is. That's what this song says. I listen to this song. It says, don't tell me preacher, don't lie to me and tell me the way I wanna hear. Don't tickle my ears and tell me what I wanna hear. Tell me like it is because it's not gonna save my life unless I give the truth. It's the truth that sets us free. The flesh prophets nothing. Don't lie to me and tell me what I wanna hear. Tell me like it is because I can't continue to serve a Jesus that has no power. We have to serve a Jesus that is able to do exceedingly and abundantly more than we ask, think or imagine. So when you get in your crisis and believe me, we get in them all big and small all day. You call on the name of your God. I just got back from Prince George and I'll finish here. And man, we had frozen lines and this and that and the brothers were helping. My sons were there and praise God for sons that are willing to serve. And they did everything and they're still frozen. And I says, Lord, I'm relieving today. You know, we're leaving at 11 and it's like nine o'clock and it's like, the thing's still frozen. There's no water. We got one. I just put my hands on that water line in the house. I seen Jesus name loose. And then all of a sudden I was painting in that bathroom there. And I don't know, it was five to 15 minutes later, all of a sudden the water start coming out of that thing. I said, thank you, Jesus. I went and told my sons, I said, I rebuke that thing and I command it to loose. And God answers. He answers. We were coming through on the Coke and they closed the Coke to commercial. We're a commercial vehicle and they let us go on the way down. But this guy was not gonna let us go. I said, Lord Jesus, help us. And to get through there, it's another two and a half hours. I wanna get home. So we're able to share a meeting this morning. And I just looked him in the eye, please sir, he's a man of authority. You know, he has the authority. We're in the right, but he has the authority. Please sir, have mercy on us. We need to get home tomorrow Sunday for our children. Please sir, we have the paperwork here. Have mercy on us. Would you please, no, no, no. 15 minutes later, yes, yes sir. Don't say that I let you through, but yes sir, you go. And I just went through, brother shouted, thank you Jesus. He is a God who hears. You call on the name of the Lord in time of trouble and he will answer thee. And he'll show you great and awesome things, which you know it's not. We need to hear from the spirit. We need a now word. We need a living letter. We need to know what the spirit says to the church today. I go so much packed in my head and all my own wisdom. And then I get exhausted and I say, oh God, I repent. I repent Lord. Help me Jesus. Just like a little child just come Jesus. Jesus, you gotta help me, I can't do this. I can't do it. Unless you help me, I have no hope. Unless you give us guidance and direction in this hour in which we live, I have no hope. You know the time and the days are dark, the days are evil, but you know what? Jesus is still on the throne and he's given us an authority. You know what? To tread on snakes and scorpions, no harm's gonna come to us. They can stick some needles in us. They can do what they want. No harm will come to us if our name's written in that book. They can pin us down and do what they want. You know what? They tried to boil John, nothing happened to him. If it's our time, it's our time. But if God says not your time, they can't beat it out of you. They can't boil it out of you and they can't inject it out of you. In Jesus' name, go forth and prosper. And may the Lord Jesus help you and live holy and righteous and according to his word. And if you have things to repent of, get right with the Lord so your prayers aren't hindered. In Jesus' name, God bless you, amen. ======================================================================== Video: https://sermonindex2.b-cdn.net/_fVbWoEgsAI.mp4 Source: https://sermonindex.net/speakers/randy-krahn/appointed-for-men-to-die-once-then-the-judgment/ ========================================================================
