It calls for a deep desire to love and serve God faithfully, seeking a genuine relationship with Jesus and a hunger for His glory. The prayer is for a fresh awakening of hearts, a renewal of faith, and a rejection of doubt and cynicism, asking for a powerful manifestation of God's presence and promises. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ CONTENT ------------------------------------------------------------------------ I don't care what the mockers say and how they want to diminish the reality of God in this day. Let them come with their scoffing and mocking and their flippant attitudes. I want to say that Jesus Christ is alive today. He's alive within my heart and I'm going to live forever for Him. I'm going to give Him all that I have in the few years that I have left. I want to give Him all that I have. I want to go out in a blaze of glory because when I cross that celestial shore one day, I don't want to go having to hide my face in shame because I've been a slouch and I tried to grab everything this world had to offer, even though it allowed His enemies to mock Him to His face. I don't want to go out like that, dear ones. I want to go out loving Him with all my heart. Lord, we thank You for what You do inside of us, God. The great work of the Holy Spirit. Lord, I pray that You open the eyes of our hearts that we would get a fresh sight of this glorious being, Jesus Christ, the Messiah, the long-awaited Messiah of Israel. Oh God, awaken our hearts and give us a fresh hunger and thirst. Oh Lord, to really have You in all Your glory. Not to be satisfied with just ten cents worth. Oh Lord, just enough to eat by, just enough to call ourselves Christians when there's no reality inside of us. There's no reality coming out of our lives. Lord, I pray that You would get a hold of our hearts and give us a fresh sight of this wonderful, wonderful Redeemer. Please do it for us. Oh God, do it in our midst here in this church, the church at Ellerslie. Do it in this school here for the young people who are coming in here. Do something powerful and mighty in our midst, I pray. Oh God, please don't let us, God, please don't let us listen to that voice of darkness, of cynicism, of unbelief, that You won't come to us in a real way. God, shut the mouth of that liar in our ears, Lord. That our faith would well up and rise up and that we would lay hold of Your great promises and refuse to let go until we get the blessing that we need. Do it for us, oh God, I pray. ======================================================================== Video: https://sermonindex2.b-cdn.net/FwZfE50iK7U.mp4 Source: https://sermonindex.net/speakers/steve-gallagher/the-call-of-god/ ========================================================================
