Welcome everyone. It's been a, it's been a blessing to what we've been taught and I say amen to it and commence as well. It's kind of interesting and I picked out some, some verses that are going to talk more about children or chapters and so we'll see what comes from that. Could we stand for prayer? Heavenly Father, we thank you for this time that you have given us to be together and that we can encourage one another and that we can bring you glory and we can serve you. Just be with us and help us to just be able to comprehend some of these meanings of relationships and communication in long suffering and all these things it takes to make your kingdom function here on earth and teach us and be with us. Bless each one here and bless all the brothers and sisters everywhere. We thank you for Jesus and his willingness to die and be faithful to that end, a terrible end and we pray this in his name. Amen. And Sirach, it talks a lot about, I guess, relationships. I'll start reading in chapter three. Listen to me, your father, O children, act accordingly that you may be kept in safety. For the Lord honors the father above his children. And he confirms a mother's right over her children. Those who honor their father atone for sins and those who respect their mothers are like those who lay up treasure. Those who honor their father will have joy in their own children and when they pray they will be heard. Those who respect their father will have long life and those who honor their mother and those who honor their mother obey the Lord. They will serve their parents as their masters. Honor your father by word and deed that his blessings may come upon you. For a father's blessings strengthens the houses of the children. But a mother's curse uproots their foundations. It gives these opposites here in a puzzle a little bit about it. I don't know if somebody else has a good explanation for that but I'm not sure it is an opposite. I think like if a child is disobedient and ends up not being able to or just ends up like the mother it says a mother's curse. In the context of things I think it would be saying that a child has been very bad. And it's the foundations for that child are destroyed. I guess in the world I mean I guess Robert would probably know more about that but like parents cursing their children and just destroying them. I mean I've heard those stories and I've not really experienced that myself at all. My dad did not really have all that a great relationship with us I don't think but he didn't neither was he doing those kind of things either. And it's something that I think I struggle with too and to be able to be a blessing for my children and for anybody for that matter. And learn to communicate in ways just things we have to work for maybe always have to and can improve and being humble. I think further on we'll even have more instruction about being humble. It's I just had this thought about a mother's curse and how it really destroys. Do not glorify yourself by dishonoring your father for your father's dishonor is no glory for you. So we've heard this example of people putting we try to put somebody down so that we're taller but we actually haven't gained anything. If anything we can be not lower ourselves our standard can be lowered and and so we haven't gained a thing by putting somebody down. We lose every time. So for a father if if our if children if we put our our fathers down we're not really gaining anything for ourselves at all. The glory of one do not glory yourself by dishonoring your father for your father's dishonor is no glory for you. The glory of one's father is one's own glory and it is disgrace for children not to respect their mother. My child help your father in his old age and do not grieve him as long as he lives even if his mind fails be patient with him. People I don't know I okay I guess I have to people do put people at home so they don't want to take care of their senile parents and so I guess that is a common thing but hopefully that's not us. That we in their time of deteriorating and and passing away that we dishonor them at that time that's be very bad. Do not grieve him as long even if his mind fails be patient with him because you have all your faculties do not despise him or just because you have great strength do not in your strength I think one place you might say that you're if you have strength and glory and power and your father's failing don't don't don't abuse that. For kindness to your father will not be forgotten and you will be credited and we'll be credited to you against your sins. Isn't that pretty powerful? How can that ever be credited to sins against our sins just by being something Lloyd said about reminded me that I'm not quite sure anymore but I was thinking like God is above all this and he he's in charge of these things he's he's not he's not shorthanded that he doesn't know what's going on he he knows each each step of our way and and children and all of us I think um just varying degrees I'm sure um you know how often do we think when we all of us have lost a hair this morning or two or three maybe or maybe many more who noticed any of you remember losing a hair today says God does not allow one remembers or sees when one hair we lose one hair so he's more watchful than we were today none of us remember losing a hair I think we did I may be assuming something here but I I think we did so God is overall we there's no secrets so when he when he institutes families and the structure of a family I think Lloyd explained a lot of that and um it is this is and that quote that Dwayne uh read um it's our society is crumbling it is becoming weak and uh it's I think it's just a matter of time but nevertheless if if it were so that our sincere prayers to God for our country and our our neighbors and sustain this I think that must be good I all that God takes all that into account and he does what he he pleases but I know 30 Christians kind of had that idea at different times that their prayers was what kept countries and that just shows how how strong we are um how much our prayers are worth I think maybe Jesus used this about the prayer of Elijah Elijah he's just a man like or we're men just like Elijah and he prayed fervently that it wouldn't rain for uh wouldn't rain and for three and a half years it didn't rain and I felt I've kind of felt like that's really lifting us up that we're like Elijah if we trust God if we don't trust God then when uh James talks about a man that is that is uh two-faced and and and um God will not hear those prayers in the day of your distress it will be remembered in your favor this is talking still talking about for kindness to father will not be forgotten it will be credited to you against your sins in the day of your distress it will be remembered in your favor like frost in fair weather your sins will mull away whoever forsakes a father is like a blasphemer and whoever angers a mother is cursed by the Lord again it's a strong language about children um and I wouldn't like to put this on the children we as parents are responsible for teaching these things but all of us can gain by striving together for these things my child perform your tasks with humility then you will be loved by those whom God accepts the greater you are the more you must humble yourselves so you will find favor in the sight of the Lord for great is the might of the Lord but by the humble he is glorified Satan seems like he wanted to be right to raise up and be like God this is opposite of being humble and when he did that I mean we're told to be like God so what's wrong with being like God but he he was exalting himself against God and when we do that we have the same we end up having that same spirit as well and we as not just children I mean we as grown-ups we're this way to God as well we we're under him he has been kind and merciful to all of us here way beyond what we deserve or way beyond that what we could even think so we need to be thanked all of us need to be thankful for our father in heaven who's watching over us all I thought I had about the bulls I would imagine the owner of the man sitting there maybe and saying this is going to be dealt with and he might even have a gun to deal with it if he needs to and then I had the thought like God this great being watching down and us we watch over the cattle but he watches over us as my little thought about that analogy God is watching over us he's with eyes of fire and but it was I got the point I think so but that was my thought about that how God is God is over us and and this is not only in I've been wondering if if if especially I maybe think more about about sin and instead of what are we here for today are we here for some self-gratification or are we here to encourage one another are we here for bringing glory to God are we here to make us a name what are we here for and this is just thoughts that I've been thinking is there something we should I thought of that song about worshiping the Lord and the beauty of holiness like if we're holy then God is being exalted and if we're for kind to our neighbors then we do this to Jesus if we give a cup to a child this is this is unto Jesus these things we're doing are unto unto Christ I I assume that maybe it's all a big combination of all these things we often cannot start separating we can't really separate love or kindness or helpfulness or humility if you take one away it actually rips some of the other out too and so it's not worth nothing and so the whole thing's worth nothing if we start ripping away so that we embrace them all we we have to embrace them all we don't pick and choose my child perform your tasks with humility and then you will be loved by those whom God accepts um let's just thank this other uh give a different must be a different place the greater you are the more you must humble yourselves so you will find favor in the sight of the Lord for great is the might of the Lord but by the humble he is glorified well by the humble he's glorified that's what chest here neither seek what is too difficult for you nor investigate what is beyond your power I think this is something that should be maybe addressed how often are we talking about things that are busy bodies about things we're seeking and searching and we're talking and arguing and I think we're doing too much of that today maybe because of all the knowledge we have it's become much worse this is like three thousand years ago perhaps when he said these things and today we can just never-ending Brian just we can go all day long we can go the next 10 years unless things change and be seeking out all these things and I think we should we should think about this and put some reins on it neither seek what is too difficult for you nor investigate what is beyond your power the problem is who's going to figure out who has the power who can who can figure things out who can't but somewhere humility comes in this picture too or we just can be humble about things reflect upon what you have been commanded for what is hidden is not your concern do not meddle in matters that are beyond you for more than you can understand has been shown you for their conceit has led many astray there's this whole picture behind this this um when I first talked about a boy I was thinking more like the evil I'm not sure yet were you talking about God are you talking about evil yeah I thought maybe but I my first thought would have been might be the evil man watching us um so um so I am one I think I believe that all things have a reason all the conspiracies and all these ideas that float around this earth there's something behind them and if God's not behind it I don't want to be with it um I'm not sure how that all can be be discerned but we need to think about it we need to consider it says here for their conceit has led many astray I think it's about he's talking about these things that were hidden or things that we're seeking after looking for this is not seeking after godliness this is seeking after worldly wisdom or such like or even just things to argue about it's we do we do well to consider these things and and and put godliness there instead godly pursuits the world is going to do what they do I don't think we're going to change them a whole lot we're out there seeking souls if we can I think that is our duty and I think that's our duty we need to do that and we need to pursue that but I don't think we're going to change the society in any way informed by any of our our thoughts and patterns we can pray for them god can do things that we cannot but um again maybe be thankful for the governments we do have for their conceit has led many astray and we're in that danger today and wrong opinion maybe that verse and wrong opinion has empowered their judgment again who can we say how can we say well somebody's got a wrong opinion who's the who has authority to say that can't we all don't we have freedom of speech can we not all just pick out what we want to do we can but I think it's the world let us choose to pick out these things that god or especially what jesus taught us he goes on to say without eyes there is no light without knowledge there is no wisdom a stubborn mind will fare badly in the end at the end and whoever loves danger will perish in it I dare you to do something I think this is part of this danger we enjoy I don't think I hear that much around us but I when I grew up we dare each other about things they have this I'm sure all the worldly young boys have done this but or I don't know if they did or didn't but I know some of the Mennonites would have a dare thing on with the cars heading toward each other and see who's the first one to dodge and everyone said well it costs life this is a dare that is dangerous let's not dare each other let's unless we're going to be dare to be a Daniel but dare to be like Christ count the cost and be like Christ it was just interesting to me that he they brought this out that whoever loves danger will perish in it there'll be many other examples in that but I think there's something in us humans maybe boys more than women and maybe girls or women I'm not sure though but there's something in us that wants to pursue and seek out things and and test and try things and I think there's maybe a good purpose behind that but it has also dangerous dangers in that a stubborn mind will be burdened by troubles and the sinner adds sin to sin when calamity befalls the proud there is no healing for an evil plan has taken root in him the mind of intelligent appreciates proverbs he gives these directions too like do we appreciate proverbs do we appreciate being being told what the truth is an attentive ear is the desire of the wise so we think of somebody wise we need to recognize he had an attentive ear he's willing to listen as water extinguishes a blazing fire so alms gives atone atones for sin those who repay favors give thought to the future when they fail they will be they will find support seems like almsgiving would be like giving just like giving but then he says those who repay favors give thought to the future I don't know if that's the same as the new testament where it says that we should make friends with unrighteous mammon so that in the day of calamity we'll be picked up or something like that it's interesting that we can use our money to help the poor but it doesn't seem like when you make friends with the with with the world with it if that's what it's saying like maybe it just means being friendly with the neighbors and just being helpful and when things get tough they'll help us out I don't know what it all I don't know what it all means the next I wasn't sure if um I guess it won't take that long my child do not cheat the poor of their living and do not keep needy eyes waiting do not grieve the hungry or anger one in need a little example of this I'm not talking about money but somebody has some calamity or trouble and and we kind of mock them a little bit in their trouble I think this is part of this if we anger somebody in need this is really bad children very easy to do that maybe even grown-ups we need to be in guard against that I I think mocking must be one of the crudest things people can get into I can't find anything good for in the bible if we mock others I think God will mock us someday it won't be good let's be very watchful in that but here he's talking about maybe somebody there's need and we anger them somehow maybe we actually maybe we end up saying something that's not good to somebody need do not add to the troubles of the despair no do not add to the troubles of the desperate or delay giving to the needy do not reject a supplement in distress I think I got it do not reject a suppliant in distress I think maybe that's right or turn your face away from the poor do not avert your eye from the needy and give no one reason to curse you for it is a bitterness of soul for you but for if in bitterness of soul some should curse you your their creator will hear their prayer that's a verse I thought about just I didn't realize it was right here endear yourself to the congregation bow your head low to the great give a hearing to the poor and return their greeting politely so this is like James I think it's James but not showing partiality I'm not sure if somebody's rich and I'll come sit here you know and then somebody poor oh you sit down there the bottom we're not supposed to do that um give hearing to the poor and return their greeting politely we we have we see somebody that's dressed badly and poorly and we become impatient or angry or we have holy righteousness perhaps against that indignation against that person it's probably not holy but we need to be polite not just to the rich but to the poor and those in distress rescue the oppressed from the oppressor and do not hesitate in giving a verdict be a father to orphans and be like a husband to their mother you will then be like the son of the most high and he will love you more than does your mother wisdom teaches her children and gives help to those who seek her whoever loves her loves life Jesus's ways are just so opposite from what we're inclined to think when he says when we humble ourselves or if we want to be great we need to humble ourselves and if we want to be first we got to be last just doesn't make any sense but wisdom's the same way if we love if we whoever loves her loves life like before if they're not to be separated really and those who seek her from early morning will be filled with joy whoever holds her fast inherits glory and the lord blesses the place she's entered she enters so if you law if we allow wisdom to take us over the lord blesses us those who serve her minister to the holy one the lord loves those who love her those who obey her will her will judge the nations and all who listen to her will live secure if you remain faithful they will inherit her her descendants will also obtain her for at first she will walk with them in torturous path now let's when i saw this i just listened to this if we want wisdom and she wants to walk with us we want her to walk with us for at first she will walk with them in torturous path she will bring fear and dread upon them are we still willing to walk do we still want wisdom was it getting too hard when god when god gets on us and he wants to purify us and will torment them by her discipline until what happens what happens after this she trusts them how backwards shouldn't we be loving and kind and helpful but we need to be tested we need to be tried and i think this is what i see in this and then if we're faithful if we allow wisdom to get a hold of us then wisdom will trust us it's the way i take god would trust us but first it takes some discipline i read it again for at first she will walk with them in torturous path she will bring fear and dread upon them and will torment them by her discipline i thought maybe this had to do with undisciplined people but they need to learn to be faithful and be be just be on time be on jump to do something good if we can she'll discipline us until she trusts them and she will test them with her ordinances then she will come straight back to them again and gladden them and will reveal her secrets to them if they go astray she will forsake them and hand them over to their room so after being tested and tried there's there's joy again and there's there's uh wisdom god will share something with us but if they go astray he will forsake them she will forsake them and hand them over to their room watch for the opportune time and beware of evil and do not be ashamed to be yourself i'm not quite sure what that means i guess um i guess i immediately go to this idea that we have today about i myself i know god i am something i am this and i am that i'm this great person god just loves me that's what i went to my mind i guess so but do not be ashamed to be yourself for there is a shame that leads to sin and there's a shame there that is glory and favor i guess i don't understand what he's talking about somebody does feel free to share do not show partiality to your own harm or deference to your downfall do not refrain from speaking at the proper moment and do not hide your wisdom for wisdom becomes known through speech and education through the words of the tongue never speak against the truth but be ashamed of your ignorance do not be ashamed to confess your sins and do not try to stop the current of a river do not subject yourself to a fool or show partiality to a ruler fight to the death for truth and the lord god will fight for you do not be reckless in your speech some of these things i i don't confess to understand fighting to death i thought of jesus said you have not yet striven against sin unto blood um i guess i like this example again of maybe it's a new revelation to me or whatever but i i mean i know that i knew the phrase for many years but those people with gideon i forget who talked about it but there's like 50 000 men and they were up against a bigger army than that was it a hundred thousand double perhaps maybe more i forget and then god said whoever's afraid go home just go home and remember right 40 000 left those 40 000 were not willing to give their life for the country or for their for the cost for god in that case those 10 000 that were left i think they had got a hold of something that was they've gotten a hold of that their life is not important in front of god they were willing to lay down their life for god and go fight and i just think all these things about truth we just cannot lay down we we need to lay yeah we need to lay down our life for the truth or we need to be reckless in doing what is just and right and holy but not be reckless like i said do not be reckless in your speech let's not be reckless in our speech but in a sense of trusting god be reckless maybe that's not the right terminology to use reckless for something good i don't know do not be reckless in your speech or sluggish and remiss in your deeds do not be like a lion in your home or suspicious of your servants do not let your hand be stretched out to receive and close when it's time to give um i think i'll leave off there on this part there's the ending if i don't forget it i think i want to read um the ending of six and later on um i thought there was so much about children in here and i i think he was talking about grown-ups children of god and in and also children of i mean we're all children some of us are older than others all of us had a mother and a father for different lengths of time some bad fathers some didn't have their fathers with them all their life long i don't know if anybody here had that there's many children that is true so i felt like reading a bit of ephesians 5 be subject beginning in 21 be subject to one another out of reverence for christ how often do we go across that and we be subject to one another out of reverence for christ what's a good explanation for that because we fear god he goes on to explain why is be subject as you are in to the lord for the head for the husband is the head of the wife just as christ is the head of the church and the body of which he is the savior just as the church is subject to christ so also wives ought to be in everything to their husbands husbands love your wives just as christ loved the church and gave himself up for her in order to make her holy by cleansing her with a washing of water by the word so as to present the church to himself in splendor without a spot of wrinkle or any of the kind yes so that she may be holy without blemish in the same way husbands should love their wives as their as they do their own bodies if he who loves his wife loves himself so we don't love our wives god is saying we don't love ourselves either for no one ever hates his own body but nourishes and tenderly cares for it just as christ does for the church so husband loves his wife like and he's actually talking about the church but he said nevertheless let like each man um each of you however should love his wife as himself and a wife should respect her so christ has the power over us or should have if we submit to him he he will bring us into a well a right place before god and if a if a wife submits to her husband they as a family can be um in a right way before god whereas lloyd explained if there's contention between the two and a different vision there is um let's just make things not right make things difficult make things hard whereas if we submit the wife submits to the husband um like we do to christ isn't that the blessing isn't this where we get life isn't that where we um who else can we go to there's no one else it's only christ and he's the one that he's the one that wants us even more than we want to he says he wants to make us clean that we can be this this bride that is um um did i just read it or did not read it so as to present the church to himself in his in splendor without a spot or wrinkle or anything of the kind yes so that she may behold him without blemish this is christ's desire for us and this is desire that the husband has for the wife but if if we don't submit to christ and the things he's he's taught us you think we'll have his blessing i don't think so this is a great challenge for us to love her to love our um wives as christ loves the church as christ loves us if we're of the church who's this christ loves us and he's working to do that and then the woman is supposed to or the wife is supposed to um um subject her to her husband and again like it's not that a woman is of a lesser being than a man but man was first and he's he's been given the god has given god backs us up that man is the head of the woman and and this is where the this is where things function in the best order so both ways the husband is to love the wife as himself and then the woman because because of order it's not that i guess like broken relationships everywhere like we can see it in the government like there's this this intense battle going on they're just ruining themselves this is what happens when we have battles between each others here we just ruin ourselves this this is not this is not a good this is not a good thing so if i'm going to function properly like a government should like well first of all we understand that if the families are in order then the government can function beautifully all the government the world is not going to cure anything of disobedient children and disobedient men and women for no one ever hates his own body but he nourishes and tenderly cares for it just as christ does for the church because we are members of his body and then wisdom sometimes has some hard things for us we got to deal with that too because we will not make it through life without dealing with some hard things and the more humble we walk the i think the quicker we're out of that the more stubborn we are the more god has to deal with us and i guess we need to thank him for that be thankful that god deals with us for this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife and the two will become one flesh this is a great mystery and i'm applying it to christ in the church each of you however should love his wife as himself and your wife should respect her husband i thought that's just a good like seemed like this is for the children this is for older ones man and wife but specifically but all these things apply to everybody none of none of these good things that christ taught it's just for robert or just for somebody else it's for all of us sir uh 6 32 if you are willing my child you can be disciplined and if you apply yourself you will become clever if you love to listen you will gain knowledge if you pay attention you will become wise stand in the company of the elders who is wise attach yourself to such a one be ready to listen to every godly discourse and let no wise proverbs escape you don't let good things get away from us they're too precious they're like gold more than gold if you see an intelligent person rise early to visit him let your foot wear out his doorstep i don't know what kind of doorsteps they have but if it were a rock one you probably couldn't wear it out if it's wood you'd have a hard time reflect but i might add though this is not like trying to wear that person this is this would be in learning from this intelligent person reflect on the statutes of the lord and meditate at all times on his commandments it is he who will give insight to your mind and your desire for wisdom will be granted there's i guess many different phrases like that about um i think solomon in uh um i'm making sure i can repeat it right now but and fear god and keep his commandments that's all i can share yeah i just want to say amen as a whole i'm just really blessed to be here this morning and it's just kind of a the balm i needed and uh walter i was especially blessed with your thought that oh i guess maybe you it seemed to me like you kind of meant it or said it in the context of like all the things going on around us and especially um the political state of affairs in our country and um that if the lord's not in it you don't want to be for it and i just that just really rang true i resonated with me in a good way and and also one one thing you talked about really stood out to me and that was the not taking uh i don't remember how it says it but something about not taking joy in the calamity of and that's that's one thing i mean i really appreciate from my childhood i one of those examples like lloyd was talking earlier about you know being being denied something as a young person someone who's coming into being they understand that they are having things withheld from them and then later coming to appreciate that you know that that that that happens when i was uh when i was pretty young there was this show on television we watched a lot of television that debuted in the early 90s i mean this would have been close to 30 years that it's been running one of the first reality tv shows and it was it was called cops and i remember sitting in the living room and watching it with my dad and before too long he was like we're not we're not going to watch this anymore as a family and and of course i wanted to know why and uh and his answer was that like it's a show designed designed to uh provide entertainment based on the misfortunes and mishaps of other people and uh and i and as time went on i just really saw that that was that that was true it's a it was a television show that you know different police departments would have a camera for a time and follow them around on their on their uh missions of apprehending miscreants and public menaces and interestingly i you know especially with this i it would have been running i think close to 30 years this year i read a little bit about it recently and the reason why i was even reading about it is that in the wake of all of the unrest here in the country even society itself deemed this an unfit thing to be feeding to the public so so after all this time of of feeding the public you know this this uh show set up uh to provide entertainment to people based on the calamities and misfortunes of others they decided society decided secular people that it is it is not beneficial or healthy and they actually kind of handily give it credit for attributing to a lot of the stereotypes that surround ethnic minorities and creating a toxic environment and i i just love it i love it when society stumbles backward into biblical principles and i just find that real refreshing amen and thank you for the message there's one thing i wanted to say walter about you it said that there's a shame that'll lead a person to sin and then there's a shame that'll that'll lead a person to like glory i think it said uh my grandpa he you know he grew up pentecostal and he he grew up serving the lord and i talk to him nowadays and he's like man i'm just so ashamed of myself or trampling through the blood and it's like he keeps on sinning or you could take someone like me for example i'm really ashamed of the things that i've done but it's like i want to you know come to the lord and lord what what can i do for you you know my life is for you or judas for an example he was so ashamed of himself he hung himself and peter i think peter repented didn't he yeah it's like the two different types of shame so i thought i'd talk about that yeah i appreciate what was said and appreciate what you said there darren i thought i think there's a new testament passage that fits in there where i think it's in probably in second corinthians where it talks about uh there's there is a sorrow a godly sorrow that that leads to repentance not to be repented of but then there's a sorrow that leads to death as well um yeah just one of the thoughts i had there my mind kind of went on walter said something about oh maybe maybe it's just something you read or maybe you commented on it it had to do with if you see somebody that's wise you see somebody that knows how to listen just just so true like if you see like the person the person always talking and always and never listening you you just recognize pretty quickly there's a lack of wisdom there and uh maybe there's a lot of knowledge there but there's a lack of wisdom um and oh i just reminded you probably all heard that little poem like okay and an owl is is a symbol you might say of of being wise they call they call an owl a wise owl and and an owl is a very quiet creature for the most part you do hear him hoot you do hear him screech but they fly on silent wings they they they find their morsel by by being quiet the little poem says the wise old owl sat in an oak the uh the more he heard the less he spoke the less he spoke the more he heard oh why can't we be like that wise old bird um and i just just think there's a lot about a truth to that and at the same time i'd just like to say like wisdom i think we all recognize this wisdom is so much in knowing in not just knowing something but knowing when to be silent and when when to speak you know it's not it's not necessarily wise to just never speak because there's a time to speak it's like it's like another saying that says silence is golden um but sometimes it's just plain yellow um so anyway just those are things we seek for and though wisdom takes us through uh as if walter read through um what was it troubles and torturings or sufferings we want her for our companion thank you brother walter for um reading from cirac and that's a a book that i think should be taught more from i'm probably the least uh knowledgeable of that book i i know brother joe yoda said that it is so rich and he he gets into it joe yoda and uh i i confess that i should read it more i i read it a couple of times in last weeks and a couple of verses in there it said um don't uh reminisce or sing the pagan songs um so last night uh you know just playing all those songs about at springfield and uh but brother avin just said one to me hey do you know that one i said yeah yeah okay but i was singing five or six of them to myself and even to to walter and uh javi uh worldly songs they were playing at that concert but i say yeah here's the next verse you know the first mate he got drunk broke into captain's mind i mean what am i repeating those foolish lyrics i shouldn't even do it to myself rather to to uh you know walter and and uh javi but you know the music was there and i'm trying to put a guilt trip on you aaron i'm just saying that i pagan songs is that hit me and so i'm trying to you can pray for me i'll just do it to myself but then eventually eliminate it for myself it's so hard when it's ingrained in your mind because i can go into any store like walmart or something to have that music going i grew up with that poison max it's poison it's just poison like cops there's nothing edifying about it it's all trash 100 trash well at least for me it was anyway as far as the alms giving uh brother walter it's i'm just giving uh it takes away sins i know nothing takes away sin except the blood of christ that's a given but jesus did say in luke 11 he said that uh to the pharisees when he's them and give alms your white water you know supplicants give alms and all things will be cleansed by their repentance so if you if you put if i guess if we insert by repenting but nothing that will take the blood and forgive me nothing would take our sins away i guess except his blood but when it says that in sirach or the didache or uh even in luke you know be uh uh do give alms and everything will be made cleansed it's just out of repentance you can help me with that one but uh and also in sirach it mentions about confessing their sins and you know brother atley mentioned how he was rebellious and i could say i was way more rebellious than you and others like that but big deal that that could be uh foolishness and things but in acts 19 when they burned their magical books acts 19 and they burned and they confessed their sins something like you know the the man earlier and one luke you know have mercy on me a sinner but acts 19 when they confessed their sins in their deeds what happened next what's the next verse they confess their sins in their deeds and the word grew mightily revival revival god you got it god god's got a group that because they're not they're not self-righteous and they are humble when we confess our sins in our deeds it's revival but people don't want to don't want to talk about their or their bachelor about confessing their sins they're still they can be groping in darkness and not that we want to oh you know we want to uh uh pride ourselves in that but it's glory and confessing our sins but when we confess our sins in our deeds it says in the word of the lord grew mightily so let's not don't be ashamed you don't ever be ashamed it's uh it's all and last night the way home i guess we put a mother daniel suggested well we put a sermon on and it was about you know dare to be a daniel almost it was talking about um it was talking about the four tests that we're ambassadors in another kingdom and the four tests that dnu went through uh he didn't want to eat the vegetables he didn't want to bow down he wasn't afraid to translate the writing in the wall and then he wasn't afraid to pray with the window open and don't we love daniel and sattler and the martyrs that went before us they are our heroes i mean the lord is our hero but those people margarita sattler's wife the ones who did that if we constantly dwell on them like james said think of those who went before us rather than well you think the king james is the best version or the the niv with the things while this is things that really can lead to sin just arguments and foolishness and stuff but those ones who went before us let's set an example that the generations behind could say that about us that we we suffered for the cause of christ the lord be magnified away first evening Oh, Jesus is coming, we know not how soon. Others await, for I'm watching and waiting each day. Christ the Lord cometh, and I'll be gone by marching. He bringeth no fear, never a shadow of heart in the dear. Jesus is coming, we know not how soon. Others await, for I'm watching and waiting each day. Oh, in the breaking day, Jesus, my Savior, waiting the time. Jesus, my Lord, up from the grave He arose. With mighty triumph o'er His foes, He arose a victor from the dark domain. And He lives forever with His saints to reign. He arose, He arose, hallelujah, Christ is born. Mainly they wash His bread, Jesus, my Savior. Mainly they seal the dead, Jesus, my Lord. Up from the grave He arose. With mighty triumph o'er His foes, He arose a victor from the dark domain. And He lives forever with His saints to reign. He arose, He arose, hallelujah, Christ is born. And our keepers pray, Jesus, my Savior. He tore the bars away, Jesus, my Lord. Up from the grave He arose. With mighty triumph o'er His foes, He arose a victor from the dark domain. And He lives forever with His saints to reign. He arose, He arose, hallelujah, Christ is born. Jesus, I, my cross, have taken, all to Thee, then follow Thee. Destined to be, is life forsaken, Thou from them, my all, shalt be. Perish, ev'ry punishment, our sorrow, for Thine. Yet our redemption, God and Heaven are still Thine. Respite and lead me, may my Savior do. Those who see me, thou art now untrue. Heaven and earth shall smile upon me. Thou art the wisdom, love, and might. Go, then, patiently, show Thy face, and all is bright. Go, then, e'er in treasure, come, disaster, storm, and pain. In Thy service, pain is pleasure. With Thy favor, all is gain. I have called Thee, Allah, Father, Savior, Father of me. Storms may howl, and clouds may gather, Allah's Word for good do. And His love, He says me, will not drive me to my rest. Life with trials hard may press me, and will greatly speed her rest. The road is wide, and grief can harm me, while life can charm me, where that joy of His lives lives. Drain my soul, Thy full salvation. Rise, O sin, and fear, and joy restation. Something still to do, O King, what's here and what of Father's smile? What a Savior died to win me, how the temptations now refine. His true glory, are my faith, and shall guide me then. Soon shall close the earthy mission, soon shall pass my pilgrim days. Hope to change, to glad fruition, faith to sign, and prayer to praise. ======================================================================== Video: https://sermonindex2.b-cdn.net/2mmsG0ib5Mc.mp4 Source: https://sermonindex.net/speakers/walter-brubacker/honor-your-parents/ ========================================================================
