According to Scripture, believers can have confidence that God hears and responds to their prayers. In 1 John 5:14, it is written that when we ask anything according to God's will, He hears us. Jesus teaches in John 15:7 that if we remain in Him and His words remain in us, we can ask whatever we wish and it will be done. The Bible also encourages persistent prayer, as seen in Matthew 7:7, and promises that the effective prayer of a righteous person can accomplish much, as James 5:16 notes. Through prayer, we can experience God's faithfulness and provision, as 1 John 5:15 assures us that if we know He hears us, we can have confidence in His response.

And this is the confidence that we have before Him: If we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.
If you remain in Me and My words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.
