8 Bible Verses on Being Left Out

8 verses

In times of rejection and isolation, Scripture offers comfort and reassurance. According to Luke 6:22, being hated or excluded by others can be a badge of honor for those who follow Jesus. The Psalms, such as Psalms 147:3 and Psalms 27:10, remind us that God heals the brokenhearted and cares for the forsaken, even when family or friends may abandon us. As Leviticus 20:26 and Isaiah 61:1-2 attest, God's people are called to be distinct and separate, and He promises to bind up the wounded and bring liberty to the oppressed, demonstrating His special concern for those who feel left out.

He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him. But to all who did receive Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God— children born not of blood, nor of the desire or will of man, but born of God. The Word became flesh and made His dwelling among us. We have seen His glory, the glory of the one and only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.
