In the depths of God's love, He desires that humanity would come to know and trust Him. Jesus teaches that belief is essential, saying "blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed" (John 20:29), and promising that those who believe in Him will do greater works than He did. The Gospel of John reveals the Father's love, stating that God gave His only Son so that whoever believes in Him would have eternal life (John 3:16), and Jesus encourages His followers to trust in Him, just as they trust in God (John 14:1). According to Romans, confessing Jesus as Lord and believing in His resurrection are crucial steps in salvation (Romans 10:9-10).
