8 Bible Verses on Christian Hedonism

8 verses

In God's design, joy and satisfaction are intimately linked with a deepening relationship with Him. The Psalms reveal that delighting in the Lord leads to desires being fulfilled, as expressed in Psalms 37:4, and that in His presence is fullness of joy, as stated in Psalms 16:11. Jesus Himself promised that His joy would remain in those who follow Him, as seen in John 15:11, and the parable of the hidden treasure in Matthew 13:44 illustrates the surpassing value of knowing Him. This theme is further developed in 2 Corinthians, where the apostle Paul writes about the joy of salvation, emphasizing that true fulfillment is found in Christ.
