Surrendering one's life to God's will is a fundamental aspect of the Christian walk. The book of Proverbs encourages believers to trust in the Lord with all their heart and lean not on their own understanding, as seen in Proverbs 3:5-8. In Matthew 22:37, Jesus teaches that loving God with all one's heart, soul, and mind is the greatest commandment, while Hebrews 11:6 emphasizes the importance of faith in pleasing God. By committing to God, as James 4:8 suggests, believers can draw near to Him and experience a deeper relationship, as guided by Proverbs 16:3, which reminds us to commit our works to the Lord.

Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight. Be not wise in your own eyes; fear the LORD and turn away from evil. This will bring healing to your body and refreshment to your bones.
Jesus declared, “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’
And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who approaches Him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him.
Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.
And a servant of the Lord must not be quarrelsome, but must be kind to everyone, able to teach, and forbearing. He must gently reprove those who oppose him, in the hope that God may grant them repentance leading to a knowledge of the truth. Then they will come to their senses and escape the snare of the devil, who has taken them captive to his will.
And when you do ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may squander it on your pleasures.
Teach me to do Your will, for You are my God. May Your good Spirit lead me on level ground.
