Unity among believers is a paramount concern in Scripture, as division and strife can undermine the witness of the church. The apostle Paul urges the Corinthians to be unified in their faith, warning against factions and divisions that can arise from human loyalties and pride, as seen in 1 Corinthians. In Romans and Titus, he cautions against those who spread dissent and false teachings, instructing believers to avoid them. Jesus Himself teaches that a house divided against itself cannot stand, as noted in Luke, and Jude warns against the destructive influence of divisive individuals who follow their own selfish desires.

Now I urge you, brothers, to watch out for those who create divisions and obstacles that are contrary to the teaching you have learned. Turn away from them. For such people are not serving our Lord Christ, but their own appetites. By smooth talk and flattery they deceive the hearts of the naive.

Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, for to this you were called as members of one body. And be thankful.
