The creation account in Genesis establishes God's intentional design in the natural world, including the reproduction of plants and animals according to their kinds. The Bible teaches that God is the creator of all life, and as seen in Psalms, He is intricately involved in the formation of each human being. While the Bible does not directly address modern genetic engineering, principles from passages like Leviticus and Ecclesiastes caution against tampering with God's creation, emphasizing the importance of respecting His design. In 1 Corinthians, the apostle Paul notes the diversity of God's creation, highlighting the uniqueness of each creature.

But God gives it a body as He has designed, and to each kind of seed He gives its own body. Not all flesh is the same: Men have one kind of flesh, animals have another, birds another, and fish another.
You are to keep My statutes. You shall not crossbreed two different kinds of livestock; you shall not sow your fields with two kinds of seed; and you shall not wear clothing made of two kinds of material.
For You formed my inmost being; You knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Marvelous are Your works, and I know this very well. My frame was not hidden from You when I was made in secret, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed body; all my days were written in Your book and ordained for me before one of them came to be.
Then God said, “Let the earth bring forth vegetation: seed-bearing plants and fruit trees, each bearing fruit with seed according to its kind.” And it was so. The earth produced vegetation: seed-bearing plants according to their kinds and trees bearing fruit with seed according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good.
But Jesus replied, “Every plant that My heavenly Father has not planted will be pulled up by its roots.
Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own;
For every creation of God is good, and nothing that is received with thanksgiving should be rejected,
Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools, and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images of mortal man and birds and animals and reptiles.

Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, after Our likeness, to rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, and over all the earth itself and every creature that crawls upon it.” So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.
For in Him all things were created, things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities. All things were created through Him and for Him.
Do not plant your vineyard with two types of seed; if you do, the entire harvest will be defiled —both the crop you plant and the fruit of your vineyard.
I praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Marvelous are Your works, and I know this very well.
