8 Bible Verses on Grow

8 verses

Spiritual growth is a vital aspect of the Christian life, as believers are called to mature in their faith and relationship with God. According to 2 Peter 3:18, this growth occurs as we continue to learn and apply God's Word, while 1 Peter 2:2 encourages new believers to crave spiritual nourishment like infants longing for milk. The apostle Paul writes in Ephesians 4:15 that speaking the truth in love helps believers grow up into Christ, who is the head of the church, which is being built up in love, as described in Ephesians 2:21. As we mature, we put away childish things, as noted in 1 Corinthians 13:11, and strive for unity and maturity in the body of Christ.

Although by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to reteach you the basic principles of God’s word. You need milk, not solid food! For everyone who lives on milk is still an infant, inexperienced in the message of righteousness. But solid food is for the mature, who by constant use have trained their senses to distinguish good from evil.
