In the biblical view, moral purity is essential for a healthy relationship with God and others. The apostle Paul teaches that believers should flee from immorality, as it contradicts the holy nature of the body, which is a temple of the Holy Spirit, as seen in 1 Corinthians 6:18. Ephesians 5:3 and Colossians 3:5 also emphasize the importance of purity, warning against sexual immorality and other vices that can defile the body and spirit. According to 1 Thessalonians 4:3-5 and Hebrews 13:4, God's will is for believers to live in holiness and honor in their relationships, keeping the marriage bed pure and avoiding any form of impurity.

Marriage should be honored by all and the marriage bed kept undefiled, for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers.
But among you, as is proper among the saints, there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity, or of greed.
Flee from sexual immorality. Every other sin a man can commit is outside his body, but he who sins sexually sins against his own body.
Put to death, therefore, the components of your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires, and greed, which is idolatry.
For it is God’s will that you should be holy: You must abstain from sexual immorality; each of you must know how to control his own body in holiness and honor, not in lustful passion like the Gentiles who do not know God;
Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who submit to or perform homosexual acts,
Flee from youthful passions and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, together with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart.
