10 Bible Verses on Lust

10 verses

The Bible teaches that sinful desires and impulses can lead individuals down a path of destruction, and that the heart is the source of these corrupting influences. Jesus warned that looking at someone with lustful intentions is equivalent to committing adultery in one's heart, as stated in Matthew 5:28. According to 1 John 2:16, the world's system is driven by the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, which are all opposed to God's will. The apostle Paul urges believers to flee from youthful lusts, as instructed in 2 Timothy 2:22, and to put to death the earthly nature with its passions and desires, as taught in Colossians 3:5 and Galatians 5:16.
