13 Bible Verses on Mary

13 verses

In the biblical narrative, the mother of Jesus is portrayed as a faithful and obedient servant of God. According to Luke, she humbly received the angel's announcement of her role in bearing the Messiah, responding with "I am the Lord's servant, may it be to me as you have said" (Luke 1:38). The prophet Isaiah had foretold of her significance, stating that a virgin would bear a son (Isaiah 7:14), and Luke records the angel's greeting to her as "highly favored" (Luke 1:28). As Jesus hung on the cross, He entrusted her care to the disciple John, demonstrating His concern for her well-being (John 19:26-27), and she is later found praying with the early church in Jerusalem, as noted in Acts.
