5 Bible Verses on Missionaries

5 verses

The Lord's command to spread the gospel to all nations is a central theme in Scripture. As recorded in Matthew and Mark, Jesus instructed His disciples to share the good news with others, both near and far, as seen in the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20) and the healing of the demon-possessed man (Mark 5:19-20). The early church in Acts 1:8 and the teachings of Paul in Romans and 1 Corinthians emphasize the importance of proclaiming the gospel to all people, regardless of their background or location. By following the example of faithful apostles and disciples, believers are encouraged to imitate their devotion to sharing the message of salvation with others, as Paul exhorts in 1 Corinthians.

Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey all that I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”
Acts 1:8
But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you, and you will be My witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
God “will repay each one according to his deeds.” To those who by perseverance in doing good seek glory, honor, and immortality, He will give eternal life. But for those who are self-seeking and who reject the truth and follow wickedness, there will be wrath and anger.
But Jesus would not allow him. “Go home to your own people,” He said, “and tell them how much the Lord has done for you, and what mercy He has shown you.” So the man went away and began to proclaim throughout the Decapolis how much Jesus had done for him. And everyone was amazed.
You are to imitate me, just as I imitate Christ. Now I commend you for remembering me in everything and for maintaining the traditions, just as I passed them on to you.
