In the biblical account, God's judgment is often poured out in the form of plagues, as seen in Revelation 15:1, where seven angels prepare to unleash a final series of plagues upon the earth. The prophets, as recorded in Revelation 11:6, are given power to strike the earth with plagues, demonstrating God's authority over creation. The book of Revelation also warns against adding to or taking away from God's words, lest one face the plagues described within, as stated in Revelation 22:18. Ultimately, those who refuse to repent in the face of God's judgment will suffer the consequences, as seen in Revelation 16:9 and the call to escape the plagues by leaving Babylon in Revelation 18:4.

Then I saw another great and marvelous sign in heaven: seven angels with the seven final plagues, with which the wrath of God is completed.
These witnesses have power to shut the sky so that no rain will fall during the days of their prophecy, and power to turn the waters into blood and to strike the earth with every kind of plague as often as they wish.

There will be great earthquakes, famines, and pestilences in various places, along with fearful sights and great signs from heaven.
