According to Romans 12:2, we are transformed by the renewing of our minds, while Galatians 5:16-17 warns against allowing our thoughts to be controlled by fleshly desires. In Colossians 3:2, we are instructed to set our minds on things above, and 2 Timothy 1:7 reminds us that God has given us a spirit of power, love, and self-discipline. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what is the good, pleasing, and perfect will of God.

Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture comes from one’s own interpretation. For no such prophecy was ever brought forth by the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.
