Wealth gained hastily is often warned against in Scripture, as it can lead to spiritual and financial instability. The book of Proverbs cautions that riches acquired quickly will dwindle, while patiently earned wealth will last (Proverbs 13:11). The pursuit of easy wealth can also lead to spiritual danger, as 1 Timothy 6:10 notes that the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. In contrast, contentment and trust in God's provision are encouraged, as seen in Hebrews 13:5 and Proverbs 28:20, and Jesus teaches that one cannot serve both God and money (Matthew 6:24).
