In times of uncertainty and need, Scripture encourages believers to trust in the Lord's sovereignty and provision. The book of Proverbs advises against relying on human understanding, instead urging dependence on God's guidance, as seen in Proverbs 3:5. The prophet Jeremiah warns against putting confidence in human strength, while the prophet Isaiah and the apostle Peter affirm the benefits of casting anxieties on God, who cares for His people, as expressed in 1 Peter 5:7. Ultimately, Philippians 4:19 promises that God will supply every need, according to His riches in glory.

This is what the LORD says: “Cursed is the man who trusts in mankind, who makes the flesh his strength and turns his heart from the LORD. He will be like a shrub in the desert; he will not see when prosperity comes. He will dwell in the parched places of the desert, in a salt land where no one lives. But blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, whose confidence is in Him. He is like a tree planted by the waters that sends out its roots toward the stream. It does not fear when the heat comes, and its leaves are always green. It does not worry in a year of drought, nor does it cease to produce fruit. The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it?
And my God will supply all your needs according to His glorious riches in Christ Jesus.
For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, to give you a future and a hope.
Therefore we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, yet our inner self is being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary affliction is producing for us an eternal glory that is far beyond comparison. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.
Call to Me, and I will answer and show you great and unsearchable things you do not know.
The Spirit gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words I have spoken to you are spirit and they are life.
Remain in Me, and I will remain in you. Just as no branch can bear fruit by itself unless it remains in the vine, neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in Me. I am the vine and you are the branches. The one who remains in Me, and I in him, will bear much fruit. For apart from Me you can do nothing.
