14 Bible Verses on Seers

14 verses

In ancient Israel, certain individuals were gifted by God to receive and interpret divine revelations, guiding the people in their relationship with Him. The prophet Amos notes that God does nothing without revealing His plans to these chosen servants, as seen in Amos 3:7. The historical records in 1 and 2 Chronicles, such as 2 Chronicles 9:29, demonstrate how seers like Jehu and Samuel played a crucial role in advising kings and interpreting God's will. The New Testament also acknowledges the work of seers, with 1 Corinthians 2:13 highlighting the spiritual language they used to convey God's message, a concept rooted in the Old Testament understanding of prophetic ministry, as also mentioned in 1 Samuel 9:9.
