According to Scripture, our identity and worth are rooted in being created in God's image, as seen in Genesis 1:26-27. This truth is reinforced in Psalms 139:14, where the psalmist expresses wonder and gratitude for being fearfully and wonderfully made. However, our self-perception can be misguided, as 1 Samuel 16:7 reminds us that God looks beyond outward appearances to the heart.
