11 Bible Verses on Separation

11 verses

Scripture teaches that marriage is a sacred bond between a man and a woman, and separation or divorce is only permitted in specific circumstances. In Malachi, God expresses His hatred for divorce, while in Matthew, Jesus teaches that marriage is a lifelong commitment, only to be broken in cases of unfaithfulness. The apostle Paul, in 1 Corinthians, advises believers not to leave their unbelieving spouses, promoting unity and peace. Additionally, Jesus warns against remarriage after divorce in Luke, emphasizing the importance of honoring one's vows, as He also states in Matthew that what God has joined together should not be separated by humans.
