The Christian life is not without its challenges, as believers face opposition from spiritual forces seeking to undermine their faith. According to Ephesians, followers of Christ engage in a struggle against principalities and powers of darkness, and are exhorted to put on the whole armor of God to withstand these attacks. In 2 Corinthians, Paul describes the warfare as a battle for the mind, where believers must demolish strongholds of false thinking and take every thought captive to obey Christ. James and 1 Peter also urge believers to resist the devil and be vigilant, knowing that their adversary is a roaring lion seeking to devour the faithful.
