14 Bible Verses on Unbelievers

14 verses

In the biblical teachings, those who do not believe in God are often described as being separated from Him due to their unbelief. According to 2 Corinthians 4:4, the god of this world has blinded the minds of unbelievers, preventing them from seeing the truth. The apostle Paul warns believers in 2 Corinthians 6:14-18 against being yoked with unbelievers, as their values and lifestyles can contradict Christian principles. Additionally, Ephesians 4:18 notes that unbelievers are darkened in their understanding, and 1 Corinthians 5:9-13 instructs believers on how to interact with them in a way that is loving yet distinct.

Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership can righteousness have with wickedness? Or what fellowship does light have with darkness? What harmony is there between Christ and Belial? Or what does a believer have in common with an unbeliever? What agreement can exist between the temple of God and idols? For we are the temple of the living God. As God has said: “I will dwell with them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they will be My people.” “Therefore come out from among them and be separate, says the Lord. Touch no unclean thing, and I will receive you.” And: “I will be a Father to you, and you will be My sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty.”

I wrote you in my letter not to associate with sexually immoral people. I was not including the sexually immoral of this world, or the greedy and swindlers, or idolaters. In that case you would have to leave this world. But now I am writing you not to associate with anyone who claims to be a brother but is sexually immoral or greedy, an idolater or a verbal abuser, a drunkard or a swindler. With such a man do not even eat. What business of mine is it to judge those outside the church? Are you not to judge those inside? God will judge those outside. “Expel the wicked man from among you.”
Do not be deceived: “Bad company corrupts good character.”
If anyone does not provide for his own, and especially his own household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.
For the evil man has no future; the lamp of the wicked will be extinguished.
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that everyone who believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.
But to the cowardly and unbelieving and abominable and murderers and sexually immoral and sorcerers and idolaters and all liars, their place will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur. This is the second death.”
See to it, brothers, that none of you has a wicked heart of unbelief that turns away from the living God.
If you love Me, you will keep My commandments.
And a servant of the Lord must not be quarrelsome, but must be kind to everyone, able to teach, and forbearing. He must gently reprove those who oppose him, in the hope that God may grant them repentance leading to a knowledge of the truth. Then they will come to their senses and escape the snare of the devil, who has taken them captive to his will.
