5 Bible Verses on Walking in the Spirit

5 verses

Living a life that honors God involves surrendering to the guidance of the Holy Spirit. As Galatians 5:16 and 5:25 teach, believers are called to walk in the Spirit, allowing Him to direct their thoughts, words, and actions. This spiritual walk is characterized by a balance of freedom from sinful desires and a fruitful life of love, joy, and self-control, as outlined in Galatians 5:16-25. By trusting in God's power, as 2 Corinthians 5:7 encourages, and living as children of light, as Ephesians 5:8 instructs, Christians can navigate life's challenges with spiritual wisdom and integrity.

So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.
Since we live by the Spirit, let us walk in step with the Spirit.
So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. For the flesh craves what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are opposed to each other, so that you do not do what you want. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law. The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity, and debauchery; idolatry and sorcery; hatred, discord, jealousy, and rage; rivalries, divisions, factions, and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law. Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. Since we live by the Spirit, let us walk in step with the Spirit.
For we walk by faith, not by sight.
For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light,
