8 Bible Verses on Water

8 verses

In Scripture, water is often used to symbolize spiritual refreshment and renewal. Jesus teaches that those who believe in Him will have a well of living water springing up within them, as recorded in John 4:14. This theme is further developed in John 7:38, where Jesus invites all who are thirsty to come to Him and drink, and in John 3:5, where birth by water and the Spirit is necessary for eternal life. The prophet Isaiah also writes about drawing water from the wells of salvation with joy, as seen in Isaiah 12:3, and this promise is ultimately fulfilled in Revelation 22:17, where the Spirit and the bride extend an invitation to all to take the water of life freely.
