In the presence of God, believers gather to offer praise, adoration, and reverence, as Jesus taught that true worshipers will worship in spirit and truth. According to Matthew, when two or three gather in His name, He is present among them, making every gathering a potential worship service. The apostle Paul exhorts believers to present their bodies as living sacrifices, their spiritual worship, as described in Romans. Additionally, Hebrews encourages the offering of a sacrifice of praise, the fruit of lips that confess His name, while Luke records Jesus' statement that worship is to be directed to God alone.

But a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth, for the Father is seeking such as these to worship Him.
Therefore I urge you, brothers, on account of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God, which is your spiritual service of worship.
Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise, the fruit of lips that confess His name.
