In God's eyes, past mistakes and regrets do not define His children. According to 2 Corinthians, those who are in Christ are new creations, with their old selves gone and new lives begun. The apostle Paul, in Philippians, encourages believers to forget what is behind and press on toward the future, while Jesus teaches in Matthew that forgiveness is a two-way street, requiring both receiving and giving. Through confession and repentance, as promised in 1 John, God forgives and cleanses, and as Isaiah declares, He remembers sins no more.
