Isaiah 12
BSA1 In that day [a future time of salvation, a day of the Lord] you will say: “O LORD [Yehovah, the covenant God], I will praise [give thanks to, worship] You. Although You were angry [displeased, wrathful] with me, Your anger [indignation, wrath] has turned away [been removed, subsided], and You have comforted [consoled, given solace to] me. word study 2 Surely God [the Almighty, my Savior] is my salvation [deliverance, victory]; I will trust [have faith, rely] and not be afraid [dread, fear]. For the LORD [Jah, Yehovah] GOD is my strength [power, might] and my song [praise, melody], and He also has become my salvation [rescue, liberation].” word study 3 With [great happiness, rejoicing] joy you will draw [take, receive] water from the [wells, fountains] springs of [deliverance, victory, prosperity] salvation, word study 4 and on that day [the day of the Lord’s triumph] you will say: “Give praise [thanks, honor] to the LORD [Yehovah, the covenant God]; proclaim [declare, call out] His name [His identity, character]! Make [declare, tell] His works [mighty acts, deeds] known [recognized, acknowledged] among the peoples [nations, Gentiles]; declare [make mention, proclaim] that His name [His reputation, fame] is exalted [lifted up, highly esteemed]. word study 5 Sing [to the Lord with praise and celebration] to the LORD [Yehovah, The covenant Name of God], for He has done [made, brought about] glorious [excellent, majestic] things [actions, deeds]. Let this [what He has done] be known [made aware, perceived] in all [every part of] the earth [land, world]. word study 6 Cry out [to shine, be cheerful, and make a clear sound] and sing [to overcome, shout for joy, and express praise], O citizen [inhabitant, daughter] of Zion [a mountain in Jerusalem, the city of God], for great [large, important, and mighty] among you is the Holy One [set apart, sacred, and divine] of Israel [the symbolic name of Jacob, God’s chosen people].” word study
