Psalms 125

BSA

1 Those who trust [have confidence, faith] in the LORD [Yehovah, the Lord God] are like Mount [a high, spiritual] Zion [the city of God]. It cannot be moved [shaken, removed]; it abides [remains, dwells] forever [eternally, to the age]. word study 2 As the mountains [hills] surround Jerusalem [the city of peace], so the LORD [Yehovah, The covenant Name of God] surrounds His people [a nation, a tribe], both now [at this time, from henceforth] and forevermore [always, for eternity]. word study 3 For [because of this reason] the scepter [a rod or staff, a sceptre] of the wicked [those who practice wickedness] will not rest [to settle down, remain] upon [on, above] the land [portion, inheritance] allotted [assigned by lot, given] to the righteous [just, upright], so that the righteous will not put forth [send, stretch out] their hands [strength, direction] to [toward, into] injustice [wrong, unrighteousness]. word study 4 Do good [be pleasing, show favor], O LORD [Yehovah, the covenant God], to those who are good [pleasant, virtuous], and to the upright [straight, just] in heart [the center of emotions and thoughts]. word study 5 But those who turn [to follow their own desires, astray] to crooked [devious, twisted] ways [paths, roads] the LORD [Yehovah, The covenant Name of God] will banish [lead them forth, take away] with [together, in company] the evildoers [workers of iniquity, wicked ones]. Peace [shalom, completeness, wellness] be upon [on, above] Israel [the descendants of Jacob, God’s chosen people]. word study
