Psalms 93

1 The LORD [Yehovah, The covenant Name of God] reigns [as King, with sovereign power]! He is robed [clothed, wrapped] in majesty [excellence, grandeur]; the LORD has clothed [wrapped, put on] and armed [girded, surrounded] Himself with strength [power, might]. The world [the earth, creation] indeed is firmly established [set up, fixed]; it cannot be moved [shaken, wavering]. word study 2 Your [established, firmly set] throne [seat of power] was established [set up, appointed] long ago [from the past, since then]; You [the Eternal One] are from [have existed since, originate in] all eternity [forever, everlasting]. word study 3 The floodwaters [rivers, overflowing masses of water] have risen, O [Yehovah] LORD; the rivers [a flood] have raised their voice [a sound, or loud cry]; the seas lift up their pounding [crashing, or roaring] waves. word study 4 Above the roar [mighty sound, voices] of many [numerous, abundant] waters [liquid, source of refreshment]— the mighty [great, powerful] breakers [waves, powerful waves] of the sea [large body of water]— the LORD [Yehovah, The covenant Name of God] on high [in heaven, elevated place] is majestic [exalted, full of greatness]. word study 5 Your testimonies [very sure, faithful, and trustworthy] are fully confirmed; holiness [set-apartness, sacredness, and divine purity] adorns Your house [the temple, a dwelling place], O LORD [Yehovah, the covenant God], for all the days [a long period of time, forevermore] to come. word study
