2 Chronicles 22

1 And the enhabiters of Ierusalem made Ohoziah hys youngest sonne kynge in hys steade. For the men of warre that came with the Arabians in the hoste, had slayne all hys elder sonnes. And so Ohoziah 'fee sonne of Iehoram kynge of Iuda was made kynge. 2 Two & fourtie yeare olde was he when he beganne to raygne, & raygned one year in Ierusalem. His mothers name was Athaliah the doughter of Amri. 3 And he walked also in 'fee wayes of the house of Ahab, for his mother was his counseler for to do euill. 4 Wherfore he did 'fet displeased the lorde like 'fee house of Ahab for they were his counselers after the death of his father, to his destruccion. And he also walked after their counsel. 5 And Iehoram sonne of Ahab kynge of Israel went to fyght wt Hazael kynge of Siria at Ramoth in Galaad: & they of Ramoth wounded him. 6 Wherfore he returned to be healed in Iezrahel of the woundes whiche were geuen him at Ramoth, when he sought wt Hazael king of Siria. And Ohoziah 'fee sonne of Iehoram king of Iuda went doune to se Iehoram 'fee sonne of Ahab at Iezrahel, because he was diseased. 7 For it was thrust into Ohoziah of God to go to Iehoram, & 'fet when he was come, he should go out wt Iehoram against Iehu the sonne of Namsi, whome the Lorde had annoynted to destroy the house of Ahab. 8 And as Iehu was executinge iustice vpon the house of Ahab. He founde the Lordes of Iuda, and the sonnes of the brethren of Ohoziah that wayted on Ohoziah, and he slue them. 9 And he sought Ohoziah, & they caught him where he was hid in Samaria, & brought him to Iehu. And when they had slayne him, they buryed him: because (sayde thy) he was the sonne of Iehosaphat, whyche sought the Lorde with all hys hert. And there was none of the house of Ohoziah, that coulde obtayne to be kyng. 10 For Athaliah the mother of Ohoziah, when she saw her sonne was deade, arose & spake wt al the seade of the kingedom of the house of Iuda. 11 But Iehosabeath 'fee doughter of the king toke. Iehoas the sonne of Ohoziah & stale him from among the kinges sonnes 'fet were slayn, & put him & his nource in a sleping chambre. And so Iehosabeath 'fee doughter of kinge Iehoram & wyfe of Iehoiada the pryeste (because she was 'fee sister of Ohoziah) hid him from Athaliah 'fet he slue him not. 12 And he was wyth them hid in the house of God syxe yeare. And Athaliah raygned ouer the lande.
