Luke 13
Worsley1 There were present at the same time, some that told Him of the Galileans, whose blood Pilate mingled with their sacrifices. 2 And Jesus answering said unto them, } 6 And He spake this parable, 7 three years I come seeking fruit on this fig-tree, and find none: cut it down, why should it cumber the ground?} 8 } 10 And when He was teaching in one of the synagogues on the sabbath- 11 there was a woman that had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and was bowed together, and utterly unable to lift herself upright. 12 And when Jesus saw her, He called to and said to her, 13 And He laid his hands upon her; and immediately she was made straight, and glorified God. 14 But the ruler of the synagogue, being provoked that Jesus had wrought a cure on the sabbath-day, said to the people, There are six days in which ought to work; on these therefore come and be healed, and not on the sabbath-day. 15 The Lord therefore answered him and said, hypocrite, does not any of you on the sabbath loose his ox or ass from the stall and lead away to watering?} 16 a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan hath bound eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the sabbath-day?} 17 Upon his saying this, all his adversaries were ashamed: but the people rejoiced for all the glorious done by Him. 18 Then said He, 20 And again He said, 22 And he went through the cities and villages teaching, as He journeyed towards Jerusalem. 23 And one said to Him, Lord, there few saved? 28 there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when ye see Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets in the kingdom of God, and you shut out.} 29 the west, and from the north, and the south, and shall sit down in the kingdom of God.} 30 last who shall be first, and there are first that shall be last.} 31 At the same time came some pharisees, and said to Him, Go out and depart hence, for Herod intends to kill thee. 32 And He said to them, perfected:} 33 that a prophet be cut off but in Jerusalem.} 34 her brood under wings, and ye would not?} 35 till come when ye shall say, Blessed He that cometh in the name of the Lord.}
