Context — Joshua’s Inheritance
49When they had finished distributing the land into its territories, the Israelites gave Joshua son of Nun an inheritance among them,
50as the LORD had commanded. They gave him the city of Timnath-serah in the hill country of Ephraim, as he requested. He rebuilt the city and settled in it. 51These are the inheritances that Eleazar the priest, Joshua son of Nun, and the heads of the families distributed by lot to the tribes of Israel at Shiloh before the LORD at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting. So they finished dividing up the land.Cross References

Joshua 19:49 Summary
[This verse shows that after the Israelites finished dividing up the land, they gave Joshua, their leader, a special portion of land as a gift, because he had led them so well, as seen in Joshua 19:49 and Joshua 19:50, and as the Lord had commanded. This reminds us that leaders who serve faithfully deserve our respect and appreciation, as mentioned in 1 Thessalonians 5:12-13. Just like Joshua, we can trust in God's provision and timing, even when we're not sure what the future holds, and we can show gratitude towards those who have served us, just as the Israelites did towards Joshua.]
